- i am by no means a composer (or have any music editing experience in general) but i couldnt stop replaying this part of the demo
and i couldnt find anyone that made a looped video so i decided to make it myself
hope its good enough!
demo belongs to hoyoverse, all i did was loop and layer some audio over each other

I really hope that Snezhnaya's demos get vocals too. Russian sounds unironically good when sang.
However as a Russian myself I hope they will not be using many Russian names for playable characters because when they do that they're doing it ridiculously wrong almost all the time lol (e.g. Natashka or Lyudochka).

Ahhhh! Thanks for this! The singer who did the singing part (Laure Shang, aka Shang Wenjie) is also the one who did Befall (from Honkai Impact 3rd). She did a French version of La vaguelette which is really great. Love her voice and accent so much!

I love these vocals so much they give me such good vibes. I'm a bit curious as to how French pronunciation works though, e.g. 'Le monde n'est qu'une scène.' It all sounds pretty similar to how I would've assumed you would pronounce it (I am a native English speaker), but the n'est bit seemed like it was skipped or something. Is it something you would not verbally say but you would say if you were writing something? Or do you just say it quickly? I'm super interested and I would love it if someone fluent in French could enlighten me :)
I think a good rule of thumb is that some consonants at the end of some words are not voiced
French is kinda the opposite to Spanish in the sense that in French you often don't pronounce explicitly pronounce everything that is written. In Spanish you tend to pronounce everything you see on paper, I believe. French is very "flow-y" and a lot about vowel sounds, and in this case "est" is similar to how we pronounce the letter "a" on its own. Or to give another example, "pas" sounds like "pa" even though it has an "s" at the end. I'm not fluent but I also think languages are cool ;)
And on the subject of flow, you may pronounce those consonants at the end if the next word starts with a vowel. There's an example in these lyrics, too!
"Vous" is normally pronounced "voo," but in the song, she sings "ne vous inquiétez pas." If you listen, you can hear the "s" in "vous" pronounced to sort of bridge the gap between the two words. Then, right after, "pas" is pronounced as if it ends in a vowel, since it doesn't have a word right after it that starts in a vowel. I'm not sure if all words like these have the same sort of mechanic though. Hope you found that helpful and interesting!

Communicating to us with subtitles eh? acceptable I guess. So what are your toughts on Furina now now that the Archon quest has been out for 4 or so days.
i use subtitles because it lets people turn them off if they find the commentary cringe or if it blocks the screen, also because i don't like talking over music
regarding Furina (AQ part 5 spoilers, Furina WQ spoilers)
TL:DR, Both quests have made me like Furina even more, I have some narrative issues with the quest but I think it did a fantastic job with her character
I had already liked her before the archon quest because her over-the-top personality was pretty entertaining to watch, but also because I was pretty sure she had another more calculating and serious side. If Furina ended up being completely unserious and aloof, I don't think I would like her.
After doing the archon quest I think definitely one of my favorite characters in the game. I loved the "twist" that Furina was just a regular human who chose to play as a god for 500 years on the slim chance that Focalors would save the people of Fontaine.
The sequence of the Traveler watching Furina on stage was my favorite part of the quest. The fact that she went through all 500 years without confiding in anyone is crazy. Especially since the conversation with herself and Focalors was in her head, I'd imagine that she would be questioning if she was delusional and if it had actually happened. Even after hearing the Traveler acts as a spectator, she still does not explain that she isn't the Archon. Amber Lee Connors did a fantastic job voicing her.
I think the way Furina acts after the quest is pretty understandable too. After playing the part of a god for 500 years, her "real" self and her godly act have become somewhat inseparable, which is why she acts with her over-the-top personality, albeit less frequently.
Her decision to act in "The Little Oceanid" was interesting because it's in line with her past actions; she's willing to sacrifice her needs for others.
Regarding problems in the quest, I think there's pretty large pacing issues with the All-Devouring Narwhal and the Skirk part felt kind of out of nowhere.
I also don't like how cold the Traveler and Paimon were to Furina? It felt strange seeing how the Traveler was a witness to Furina's inner world but seemed relatively insensitive asking her to act in a play. This was made worse since their last canon interaction was accusing her on trial (i don't blame them for putting her on trial, it was 100% necessary), so it felt rude and uncharacteristically pushy. The Traveler's attitude feels pretty inconsistent and I don't like that about them.

@@NLZ3 Na na I love "word dumps" (I do them too XD) And yeah I was a little bit annoyed by Furina from the start. When we challenged her at the beginning and she became afraid I felt so good. Putting someone who is overly confident in their place is something I love to do... God damnit Do I feel like a horrible person for feeling that way.
In one singular quest all the silly moments of Furina going out of her confident self and becoming scared became extremely sad moments as I realised that she was GENUENLY afraid in the face of people like the knave. She was powerless yet she had to act like she was this all powerfull archon. One slip up, one wrong display of confidance and she is gone. And she had to do this for 500 years I cant imagine the stress and suffering.
She became a character that I dont really like to my literally favorite character overnight. I just want to be there and give her a hug or something. I know nobody comforted her even after the disaster was over as most of the public still thinks she was a real archon. Like you said actually the traveller was too cold to her but also the topic was relatively fresh. I dont think she wouldnt want to talk about her 500 years of suffering this soon so maybe thats why we didnt ask her. But still the traveller could have been a LOT kinder towards her.
