I know it has a built in looper, but the time appears to be very short. 38 seconds for mono. Do you know if it's possible to connect it up to a looper pedal such as the BOSS RC5?

Certainly a high quality demo of the new GT-1000. Great sounds, great playing. All the initial videos we saw after the NAMM show featured out of tune guitars played through horrible patches. I've been keeping an eye on this for a while now and might likely buy one. Still mentally shopping the Helix, the Headrush, The Fractal AXB, maybe the GT-100 (at half the price) One important point for me is the MIDI abilities. I intend to use this as my main sound whilst simultaneously using it as a MIDI controller for a separate parallel rack system.

3x CTL effect that is sweet. It have 2x send and 2x return. So I don´t know but 8 cable method with dual amps? If that is possible that is just sweet. I got me GT-100 last myear and now I am thinking if this was worth the money now with gt-1000 on the market.

I own the GT-100 and I guarantee you I can make it sound every bit as good as the GT-1000.
@@thecentralscrutinizerr yeah i tol' agree bRo ^^ no real big deal in terms of Cosm/AIRD difference maybe the AIRD is a lil bit more improved in terms of dynamic .....the big improvement rely in the FX loop + the signal processing / management + routing capabilities
@@thecentralscrutinizerr I own the gt-1 and I haven't heard anything different and I've watched quite a few of these gt-1000 vids, the only difference is the Bluetooth feature and extra hook-ups in the back

Had a chance to try helix and gt1000, I love how the gt1000 is so responsive, however, helix seems to offer more variety of amps. I really like the effects on both.
georgesabitpol I have an axefx2 and bought a Helix because I really wanted to replace it but A/Bing them the Helix amp models weren’t that great compared to the Fractal. I bet this boss sounds as good as the Helix easy and the app makes it way better.

Reviewed by RUclips famous Music Stores, as well as REGULAR PEOPLE!!!
It's amazing how many people put this unit, the GT 1000, into the Fractal League!!!
Granted, I'm listening to this through a HIGH POWERED Home Stereo, not an actual Amp, I too have messed with the Fractal, owned a Helix, a Helix HX and I must say, I am purchasing the GT 1000.
JUST MY OPINION, I've only been performing for 40+ years, for the money, I cannot see paying more for the Fractal. In this case, your paying for the Fractal NAME!!!
DO go ahead and try the Fractal but I think you'll find, for the money, the GT 1000 is well on par.
Again, in my opinion only, if you can't get the Tones, Effects and ease of use from the GT, I HIGHLY doubt you'll get it ANYWHERE......even the Fractal!!
Again, just my opinion!!

@@keithdarling8290 Hey bRo, im crashing my head on the big dilemma on choosing in between the Gt1K & a Helix ...im already a long term user of the Gt100 which i love but it lacks a big number of features IMO = FX loop just mono, no alternative routing capability, number of FXs kinda limited, High-gain amp-sims not very good /// the Helix is a huge improvement of the former PodHD but everey time i listen to HX demos, i find the dynamic not very convincing comparing to the Gt1K which is the winner on that aspect ....but i need more good quality FXs ++ variety (Helix really rocks on that point) than incredible killer Amp-Sims coz i have external tube preamps N stomps that i gonna insert into the quadral mono FX loop therefore Amp-Sims will be just used to spice up my patches N open up new territories .....nam sayin ^^ what would you advise in that case ?

I know that you're really familiar with the Boss GT Boards and they are great.
This might be a long reply so please hang in there!!
1st, if all you're looking for are Effects/FX, and NOT NEEDING ANY AMP SIMS, please check out the Helix HX.
It's all the Effects from the Helix, just no Amp Sims......killer sounds. Just make sure you constantly check the Line 6 Website for updates because, as with all of the brands and types of Floorboards, they are constantly upgrading their Software and adding more tones and fixing any issues reported.
Now comes an issue.
I've been banging my head going between the Helix and a Floorboard you may already know about called the Headrush.
I've made up my mind on getting the Headrush for a number of reasons.
The main reason is cost...$$$....
The Headrush is a heck of a lot less than the Helix....like $700 US DOLLARS less expensive.
The Headrush has a ton of Outputs and to be totally understood, although it may not have as many Effects as the Helix, it's sound, in my opinion, is equally as good, if not better.......again, just my opinion.
The Headrush also allows you to download IR's.....Impulse Responses....just in case you're not familiar with IR's and has a great Website and Cloud to download them.
They have an enormous amount of FX, AMPS, CABINETS...... PLUS, FOR FREE, THE ENTIRE CELESTION SPEAKERS IR FOR FREE!!!!
So, if there's any FX that may not already be in the Headrush, you can download them!!
I came to my decision after owning the Helix HX and just finding it too time consuming to setup.
The Headrush has a HUGE TOUCHSCREEN that allows you to just "Drop and Drag" making it so much faster to create your tones.
Don't get me wrong, the Helix is a phenomenal piece of MUSICAL MADNESS and would purchase it before the GT-1000.......which is also a really nice board, just nowhere in the same league as the Headrush or Helix.
Do yourself a BIG FAVOR.
Go do a RUclips search for the Headrush on both the Dawson Music....or Dawson RUclips channel as well as the Pete Thorn channel and watch as many of the Demo Videos from both on the Headrush.
I realize that this is going to make you go nuts then trying to decide between the Headrush and the Helix.
For me though, it's the Headrush by a longshot!!!
I hope my Novel of a reply helps you out and NOT go crazy, like I did, making my decision!!!
Finally, I'd forget about the GT-1000.
Once you have heard the Headrush.....which is, I think, the same price as the GT-1000, you'll forget about the GT then go nuts between the Helix and Headrush.
Like I said, it's going to be the Headrush, by a mile, over the Helix.

is it easy to assign to board pedals so you can toggle between factory effects on stage?
Haters obviously have never started with a blank preset and played with the amp/cab models for a bit. You get that right and every other aspect of a boss/Roland product falls into place.

Between this, the headrush, helix and the Kemper which would be an ideal choice for home recording or stage. I'm looking for a more "play it right out of the box" options with little to no additional tweaks to the present parameters

Pretty sure this is completely wet sound. He’s listening through amps but the sound in the video is from XLR outs. So I’d assume it’s the same as you’re hearing in the video 😁👍🏻

i've had one and i really liked the sound, but its user interface is horrible, even with the software... its probably the most time consuming modeler out there to get the tone that i wanted, i decided for the Tonex Pedal after all cause its simple and easy to use with my pedalboard

Neither. Get a GT-100 and a good EQ pedal and save a ton of money. You're welcome. Trust me, I've been playing for over 47 years. Now if money is not an issue, get a Kemper Profiler Stage for $1,700.

Yes the xlr outputs are for PA/mixer/interfaces. It has a USB port to connecting right to the computer for direct recording.

I trying to decide between this and the GT-100 so I've watched wayyyyyy too many Videos on this unit.
The one thing I've noticed, no one had addressed this in any of the Videos, all these units and the 100 has a Tuner Switch.
WHERE THE HECK IS THE TAP TEMPO SWITCH FOR THE DELAY'S??????
Do you have to program a Tap Tempo and assign it to another Button, which would take away a control for either an Effect or Patch?
I'm hoping to purchase either the 100 or 1000 within the next week.....depending on how many more Videos I need to watch before I turn into a GT ZOMBIE walking among the LIVING!!!

If I may, and you don't mind, I'd like to ask a final question.
I've made up my mind to get the GT1000 however,
I just learned that on the GT100 I can go out and buy either the FS-6 or FS-7, I can add those via, I believe, the Sub Control to have extra switches!!
I've yet to see that function in the GT1000.
On the 1000, the Sub Controls are Balanced/XLR Outputs.
Would you know, by chance, if you're able to these Switches to the, 1000 to have more access to the Effects or assign them to Control a Tap Tempo?

Seeing that you can get the GT-100 for less than half the price of the GT-1000, the GT-100 is still the best bang for the buck. If you can snag a used GT-1000 for less than 550, that's when I'd upgrade from the GT-100. I'm not paying $1000 for this processor when the GT-100 can sound just as good. So in my opinion, no. It's not worth the money at full price. Over the years I've used a GT-5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, a GT-100 and a GP-100. I still prefer the GT-100.

That sg is freakin sweet !! But honestly the gt1000 sounds like ass to me - its very reminiscent of a line 6 kidney pod, very fake plastic and rather fatiguing on the ears. Wouldn't spend my cash on this - there's way better out there.
A message for boss: I appreciated that you 've put the shimmer effect on this unit, but i'm also angry with you. The list of amp is too short instead of an helix or fractal, there's no cabinet at all, there's no filter as the korg A3, poor distortions model.. You cannot take the same money as the other major brands, and reduce all this specs. You must increase all this features with firmware on next months at least! You have to do it, if you want to survive in the FX field!
if you want to sound like a normal amp why not just get a NORMAL fricking amp and stop wasting my time
