I think smino’s verse was conveying his willingness to be the sacrifice for his city and an example for it and Saba was speaking the sacrifices one would take to survive and make it for money and the sacrifice it takes to stay relevant and make it in his career as he pushes to be heard even if they didn’t play him on the radio

J. Cole man, the dude when he's on this track and does his thing, his voice just has a warm tone and relatability that just feels right. Plus for some reason, ever time he come on a track as a feature it makes you think like "why the hell isnt this just all Cole the whole song.
Too much other fire to make it a jcole thing. Smino stood out to me.

Earthgang doesn’t get the shine they deserve, man. Johnny Venus has such a unique way to approaching tracks. Whether it’s flow, inflection, lyricism itself, he isn’t generic in any way, shape, or form. I hope Earthgang EXPLODE the same way JID did when they drop their album.

Everyone talking about Ryan looks sad and down in the video. THE MAN IS FEELING THE SONG. The music, lyrics, the complete essence of this art has taken over his soul and we are witnessing art affect a person. That is how you appreciate art. When I played this album I rode around in my car and bumped every song and certain ones affected me differently. When I got home I put my earbuds in and laid in the bed with my eyes closed and played this one about 2-3 times over and took in every word and felt the music travel through me.
