Including honorable mentions, the number of characters with the corresponding element in this list: Hydro: 6 Pyro: 2 Dendro: 2 Electro 1 Anemo: 1 Cryo: 0 Geo: 0 Yeah Hydro is so fucking busted…
Cryo's main problem is the lack of meaningfulness right now: Hydro and Dendro have the best reactions. Anemo , or, at least, Kazuha, Venti and Sucrose, have VV , Crowd Control and support abilities (Venti can be a battery, Sucrose can buff EM and Elemental damage , Kazuha's buffs etc.) Pyro has Pyro Resonance, plus Melt and Reverse Vaporize, two amazing reactions given how easy it is to apply Hydro or Cryo off field, plus Chevreuse that buffs Overload but we'll see how good that turns out to be with Arlecchino or even Murata. Electro has great reactions too, expecially after Dendro. Geo is Geo. Cryo has, in theory, good reactions in Freeze, Reverse Melt and Superconduct, plus the ability to benefit from VV, a great set in Blizzard Strayer and a lot of good characters in Ganyu, Ayaka, Layla , Rosaria etc.... buuuuut Freeze is a good reaction but boring and it doesn't deal damage unless you Shatter the target, something only a few characters can even do. Reverse Melt needs you to play a Dendro character for Burning, the worst Dendro reaction. Superconduct in theory has a lot of potential, but Hoyo refuses to release good Physical damage dealers or supports, so we're left with Eula and Femboy Eula. *Tl;dr- We need a Dendro character focused on Burning, a Cryo character that can buff Superconduct or Shatter or maybe a character that can turn Freeze into a damaging reaction for the element to be meta again.* Most definetly the Tsaritsa.
I love my cryo characters but the only reason they keep up with my other characters is because my Ganyu is c6 and Ayaka is c4. I dont expect majority of players to have that luxury.
@@jeerayut0580bro as an alhaitham enjoyer…no. Neuvi with c1r1 is better than a c6 alhaitham and many others he’s just that good. Not to mention alhaitham NEEDS at least one electro to do any good dmg so in the solo argument he loses big time
I appreciate that Genshin is a game where you don't feel punished for not having the best supports or the best DPSs, so I rarely care much about Tier Lists or things like that, but it's still fun to see how the game's META evolves over the years.
Very delusional take, considering even the 4 star units that are supposed to be "f2p friendly" need their consts to do their job. This game's gacha system, being greedy and horrible, can make you not even get a one copy of the 4 star you need. Needless to mention, for the "off-meta" characters to do some dmg, they need really high investment not only into them, but their appropriate supports too..
@@letsgo1572 Most of the best 4-stars are completely functional without constellations, only the more niche ones like Faruzan and Gorou really rely on them
@Truck-kun11 xiangling, xingqiu are basically different characters with consts. and they are meta ones?? you were talking about characters that are not the best ones, and those "off-meta" characters, especially 4 star ones, do need their consts and best supports to function properly.
I made a list in my head before starting this video, got 9/10 the same. Only one I had different was Sucrose over Alhaitham but in retrospective that's probably a fair shout too
I mean, I almost always read Kazuha as Sucrose and vice versa. In most situations they're perfectly interchangeable, being Kazuha the more fun and more simple version to play.
@@KZ-xt4hl I think before Fontaine release I probably would've put Fischl outside the top 10 but with Golden Troupe now added as well it only shot her even further up the scale
the way genshin handles powercreep is truly something i admire and appreciate. the only instance i could think of "powercreep" was hu tao with diluc, but even diluc has a chance to compete thanks to xianyun and being able to abuse diluc's highest plunge multiplier in the game. kazuha doesn't make sucrose irrelevant, as sucrose excels as an excellent anemo driver; yelan doesn't make xingqiu irrelevant, as XQ offers a bit of QoL defensive and healing utility. Wanderer and Xiao are both anemo hypercarries, but have different playstyles, and one doesn't necessarily outclass the other. i cant place enough emphasis on it, because other gacha games have taken the pure money-making route and added new characters that completely overshadow the previous ones. it feels like the devs truly care about every character they design (*ahem* i can't speak for dehya pls leave me alone) Edit: someone in the replies corrected me on freminet having the highest plunge multiplier, and not Diluc. but i haven't seen freminet used with xianyun as a plunge dps. diluc's damage shines with her, while freminet has his niche playstyle that doesn't have anything to do with plunges; but thank you for the correction regardless
all i can think is the dev and animators was having fun making the dehya`s kit when they remember murata should be a pyro claymore and (probably her) kit based on her status of god of war and the resurection ("when dehya reach 40% hp or below regenerates 20% instantly and etc."), realize they dont have time enough for change her completly and nerf her, didnt hear the beta testers and throw her on the standar banner.
I agree with this list, it's ashame that zhongli not mentioned for a long time, meta truly shift 180 from shielder to healer because of dendro and furina
@@s.shaooo1676 Don't worry in Abyss there aren't that many corrosion enemies anymore, if there are it's only on one side. Zhongli no matter the meta is still very useful, even more with the introduction of the boss with geo shield in Abyss floor 12 - he destroys the shield super fast.
Nice video, so the first 5 spots haven't changed in years! I think Baizhu and jean would also deserve an HM for being the healers who enable Furina at c0
How long will the honorable mentions would take, Theres only one furina and there are many healers, the healers are replaceable, no baizu then use jean, no jean then use xianyun and so on, no need for honorable mentions for all existing and future healers that work with furina, its redundant
@@Biohacker777 her kit doesn't work to it's full extent though if you don't use a good healer - you can use Bennett or prototype amber or kuki Shinobu, but then you don't get full Fanfare stacks So they help Furina to take full advantage of her kit
@@Biohacker777she straight up cant deliver her buff properly without a healer. the healers do what theyre meant to do on their own. so the healers enable her.
@@aarushi2740 without jean or baizhu, other healer can still work for furina ie. mika, xianyun, qiqi, bennet, without furina, those two will stay on their previous tier
neuvillette was my first 5 star dps and i completely agree with you about his value to new players. i didn't really want him and was planning to pull for hu tao for my first dps but didn't like her playstyle in the character trial. i threw some wishes on neuvillette's banner and wasn't immediately excited when i got him because i initially misunderstood how his kit works, but once i put him on field i never took him off. neuv and c2 raiden shogun have made the game super enjoyable for me and it felt great to be able to breeze through some of the content in the game that gave me trouble before i pulled him.
I'm a preference over meta type of player and I always pull for Hydro because I love the element so much. Luckily, most of them are also very much in the meta so I end up getting so much value for pulling characters that I already love in the first place. The only downside to collecting Hydro is that most of them are 5 stars 😭
Haha sorta same, i play the characters which gameplay and element appeal to me. And then i pull/use characters that make them great. I only have furina for my noelle, i use yea and baizhu for my Tighnari, i only use bennett and xiangling for my lynney. My favorite hyperbloom team is on field baizhu with sac frag, double hydro and EM raiden.
"if fischl is a battery, raiden shogun is a nuclear reactor, bombs included" that's something you once said. but i understand why she didn't make the cut for top 10: she needs different artifacts depending on the role. with the advent of dendro, her EM-build emerged using gilded dreams(?) and i think the golden troupe could be good too. on the other side is raiden-national with her emblem-set. her best f2p-weapon (the catch) is also easy farmable, even if it uses some time. if you go for the EM-build there are better options though.
Fischl can totally replace c0 raiden in raiden national team. Yes, I know you will argue that Raiden restores energy but you forget that with fischl you can funnel particles between your characters by freely switching unlike raiden who needs field time.
@@abrarswapnilsharif9619 Raiden does a lot more damage then Fischl. Not to mention also boosting the burst damage of the characters in her party as well. Raiden over Fischl any day of the week.
@@BloodReaper95 But only xiangling gets burst buff as she's the only one to snapshot, Xinqui and Bennett isn't benefitted. Plus I have a pretty well build c0 raiden, but still my C6 fischl has exactly the same clear time as her.
Neuvilette definitely won me over when he first came out, i was lucky to get him and i wish anyone good luck wishing him when his rerun arrives hes totally worth it. Oh so good list all these characters are very good especially for f2p players
I just lost to xianyun now I can get his C1 and hopefully his weapon. But just to save me from the temptation of building pity I hope the leaks are true and he's coming in the next patch
i would personally put kuki in honorable mention, completely functional at C0 (3s downtime of her Skill) at C2 its virtually 100% uptime. And the fact that she's also a healer and provides a ton of damage with a team. Her flexibility compared to other hyperbloom triggers is unmatched at the moment. Kuki hyperbloom, and Bennett+Xiangling core - you basically already have 2 teams to 36-star abyss 😂
She’s literally just better then fischl. Neuv has better options then the bird and Kuki gaps fischl in haithem teams (you know that guy who is in the top 10 list Kek)
Shinobu is honestly such a blessing. She's the first serious healer/hyperbloom trigger I built and she's honestly enough to make me feel immortal and strong at the same time. Raiden in my experience may be the faster trigger but shinobu can hold my freedom-sworn and doesn't rely on enemy positioning to trigger the hyperblooms (it's annoying when enemies move away from the seeds while I'm using raiden)
6:57 this clip is literally the perfect example of what you are saying given that with the Bennet buff you were doing 60-70k and without it 30-50k There is a reason why a lot believe that
9:20 I feel like this is a bit misleading; the reason Neuvillette was BUSTED for that Abyss cycle was because the Abyss Blessing was as follows: "When the character's HP increases or decreases, their Normal Attack and Charged Attack DMG will be increased by 16% for 6s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. Max 3 stacks." No one is denying that Neuvillette is one of the best hypercarries in the game, but that one comment is misconstrued.
Well thats the same for every new character and the abyss they release, they gett buffs and benefits but seeing just Neuvillete tells how much of a better dps character he is compared to every other one
@@Alextl-cm4vu That's true, but the way it was worded in the video makes it sound like he could solo EVERY single abyss cycle. It's given without the context of WHY he was able to solo that abyss cycle.
I wanted both Al Haitham and Neuvillette. Have both of them and enjoy both of them. Al Haitham is one of my favorite characters and I wanted him to be playable when we first met him in Sumeru. As for Neuvillette I knew that I wanted him when I saw him in Fontaine trailers. Now I travel with both of them on my team (I'm casual and do have a team comp for Al Haitham along with Baizhu, Thoma, and Xingqui for Burgeon). I do think that Baizhu is good because he's a Dendro Kokomi with amazing healing. I also think that Xiao is good too from the aspect of him being a good damage dealing in his own right with good investment and not as many restrictions. Honestly though I think that any character can be good with some work and investment.
I slapped on Alhaitham iron sting and mediocre artifacts I farmed within a week a year ago, paired him with Kuki and any other character that were available and he performs just as good as my other units with much higher investments (bis, cons, supports etc). He may not survive being alone, but with a good or at least okay team he's a beast.
Baizhu is a really good substitute for Nahida that gives healing, interruption resistance, and buffing Dendro reactions. With enough ER he does constant Dendro application. Shield also absorbs Dendro core damage for Bloom team. There's a reason whales have included him in Abyss speed runs even before Furina.
his shield isnt really a must have now, unless you need interuption resistance, which other shielders can also do, though his elem resist shred is nice, i dont think its good enough to propel him on a top 10 spot
@@user-wm3cc3bk6k "his shield is not a must now " ,, also neuvillette the best dps in the game needs a shield or some kind of interuption resistance lmao couple of teams also do appreciate zhongli like (hutao, lyney , navia , alhaitham spread ...) He is usually in top 5 most used characters in abyss , so he deserves to be mentioned, if not top 10 , it should at least be an honorable mention
People tends to ignores that Zhongli can provide some nice buffs too on top of his strong shield (-20 res shred , + 20%atk or +35% dmg buff depending on the set) And I don't think Zhongli has less value over someone like nilou for sure
@@ImagineCats9339 neuvillette only needs a shield at c0, at c1 he doesnt need one at all lol, heck if you play on a good device you dont even need a shielder at c0 since he is mobile enough while doing his ca, so yeah, zhongli shield is a good quality of life but is certainly not a must have now With most meta teams running furina nowadays, party wide healers like jean baizhu and charlotte has more team value than shielders like zhongli
For new players, "what to" goal What to Roll for: 1. Nahida 2. Furina 3. Neuvillette 4. Alhaitham 5. Yelan What to Re-Roll for: 1. Bennett 2. Xingqui 3. Fischl 4. Sucrose 5. Yao Yao In no particular order
Don't reroll for Yaoyao, she's perfectly fine at c0 and barely gets better with constellations. Just pick her from lantern rite and then you never have to worry about her again.
I have Xianyun and it's so fun to explore with her. I also paired her with Klee for now until I get my Diluc weapon from the Battle Pass and I can tell you, slamming enemies with Klee is fun
People seem to forget that hydro is the only element that interacts with *every* other element. Given that this game very heavily relies upon elemental damage, and particularly elemental reactions, this is a huge advantage to being a meta pick. Hydro also has many high rate of application characters. In addition to that, hydro resonance granting an additional 25% hp bonus also makes the HP scaling hydro characters synergistic with each other, essentially making hydro also react with itself. Furina may be the worst offender for this, because she pairs extremely well with any non-hydro HP scaler, like Hu Tao, but she also has Neuvillette, Yelan, and even Kokomi within her own element. Heck, you can even use Barbara and quickly max fanfare.
People overrating Fischl like crazy. The only team where she deals good damage is not even good and still has major flaws such as inconsistency and no sustain...
I used to say Yaeggravate (Yae/Fischl/Baizhu or Kirara/Kazuha) was competitive, until the 3.X era was over and blessings weren't designed with dendro in mind anymore. Now it just doesn't compete compared to my other teams. I guess she still has Chevreuse teams (which are actually very competitive (but she can be replaced with Yae for a similar performance in ST and far better AOE capabilities along with frontloaded damage)), and Navia teams. Obviously she's viable in almost every archetype, but not necessarily the best option, or maybe BiS in stuff like Taser but Taser ain't competitive.
@@luisestevan3272 Both of them are the type that look at your eyes and say : "Don't look at other things, your 1 and only job is build perfect supports for us, roll our weapons and constellations, go find us the perfect artifacts and you can make the other teams look like insects compared to us." So basically if you want to use those characters, as a F2P, you will need to invest every single bit into their power and support, especially the dps since they will do the majority of damage and increasing their power means a massive increase to damge of the whole team.
I just realized that you now only need to pull for three 5 star characters to make 2 complete decent teams for Abyss that also make the game easier to play: - Raiden Shogun: in the Raiden National team, one can never go wrong with this - Neuvillette: He is THE team, the only downside of him only at C0 is the lack of resistant to interruption, but that where - Zhongli: will come in. He literally reduces the game difficulty from 100% to 10% As for the 4 stars: Benny, Fischl, Xinqiu, and Sucrose are the only 4 that you need to pull, whereas the other fine 4 stars like Traveler, Barbara, Collei, Xiangling, Kaeya are free
I will never understand why people put honorable mentions at the beginning. It just takes away potential options and makes the list even more predictable. Putting them at the end makes way more sense
Since Neuvillette came out I'm using him solo in every cycle and he never let me down. I even cleared the current worm abyss with him alone on first half and just Yelan and Furina on second half. Those 3 are the most broken characters imo
don't forget Yaoyao as healer option for Furina, that that plush doll of her heals ABSURD amounts of damage both skill (single target healing) and burst (on field team healing), while also making her an amazing Tenacity Of The Millelith or Deepwood set user depending on what you need.
But Raiden is just better? At c0 you have a tier 0 sub DPS and tier 1 support (already better than Fischl) and at C2, you have a tier 0 main DPS. That's no being overrated, that's just the numbers
@@saimfaisal6795 Raiden is just a carry. Fischl is an off-field support fulfilling both the "niche" role of being the best battery for electro characters, and is one of the most flexible off-field dps in the game usable in almost every archetype and often a strong option. Have y'all still not learned that supports or off-field dps in general (especially if they are flexible) is more important than just a carry ? You could replace Rational by International or a HT team and you'd have a better team. Raikou is good, but it's not mindblowing either. I've been surprised by the performance of Chevreuse teams at C0, so maybe at C6 she could have an argument against other carries, otherwise I really can't see it. Raiden is just a carry, guys. And she's not Alhaitham or Neuvillette level. Not like Fischl isn't overrated too, though. Both are.
I blind guessed 9/10 correctly, didn't expect Fischl over Raiden TBH, but Fischl definitely has higher upside in certain teams. Good list and solid quick analysis.

this is an interestin ranking. Though if i were to rank them i would probably have alot of units share the same spot 1. Yelan, Furina and XQ, all three are good no matter what, XQ isn't damage ceiling but he is the most comfortable, Furina is the damage ceiling but she's not the most comfortable and bit more restrictive. Yelan is the middle ground. no matter all three are just broken with what they do. 2. Nahida, i don't think i need to explain why. 3. Kazuha, same as Nahida 4. Bennett. if you have a character that scales off attack he's one of the best buffers in the game, Stupid broken, the only bad things about him are Circle impact and elemental enemies that hard, and that he doesn't buff those who don't scale off attack. 5. Nilou, yeah her team building is restrictive but it is extremely effective unless if you are up against cryo shields. her teams are cheap Nilou only wants HP, whoever is triggering the blooms are built full Em no need for crit or stuff like that, like it's just Her+Flex Hydro+Flex Dendro+Healer. 6. Raiden and Fischl they both are pretty comparable, they both deal a sh*tton of damage, Fischl with her A4 and Oz and Raiden with her Burst, Not to mention absurd battery potential. 7. Neuvillette the best Carry in the game. he can Sustain himself and can be pseudo healer with PTA. deals a sh*tton of damage, and also pretty flexible all around. 8. Alhaitham the only other dps besides neuvillette to be here, Alhaitham is probably the 2nd best carry in the game, since in his case his teams have more than one instance of damage, like There's his damage and then the hyperblooms or whatever. he has pretty flexible rotations, good damage, and just like neuvillette also cheap 4 star BiS slots with Alhaitham with Iron Sting or HoD and Neuvillette with prototype amber. another i like about both Neuvillette and Al is that you don't need their archons to see those big numbers the archons are helpful and provide big buffs but they don't feel neccesary at all. 9. Kokomi, serviceable healing, Good AoE off-Field application with no ICD, Decent damage if you build her as a half healer half damage dealer. also pretty flexible like she can be used in Burgeon, Hyperbloom, Nilou, Taser, she's good in alot of teams 10. . XL. I was wondering if Hu tao, Childe would fit in. like i said it's hard. but i think XL takes the cake here since she can dish out insane damage, apply a ton of pyro with no ICD, her only bad thing is that i think she's too tied to bennett and without bennett well good luck with your ER reqs Honorable Mentions Childe:A unit that has really good AoE potential, his international is one of the strongest teams in the game, i doubt it's top 5 anymore with all the new stuff, but no matter what internat will still slap amd can get better the more you invest into it, he's also somewhat F2P friendly since can also help with saving more valueble hydro characters for the other side. -Hu Tao for an old Dps unit, she has aged pretty well however compared to Neuvi and Al she does take some getting used to but if you get the combo right then you're gold. Xianyun and Furina are pretty strong buffs for her. -Shinobu, Hyperbloom is a godsends and only needing full em to reach that damage is great while also sustaining your onfielder, she's probably also the best hyperbloom trigger in the game. Xianyun: i think this might be the most suprising one here since she's new. but her plunging buffs are pretty strong if you wanna incorporate plunges especially when paired with other buffers like bennett or furina. Baizhu:the highest amount of healing in the game, ofc there's Nahida who is better at applying dendro off field, but Baizhu is also good driver and i find him to be better than Nahida on field since she herself is so frail unlike Baizhu. also furina buffs him even more since he heals so much which means you can achieve fanfare alot more. Zhongli: probably the worst one here but he's in the honorable mentions because of how good his shield is to help for survival and comfort a decent res shred which is ok. even though it's not cutting these days. and if you don't feel doing some big brained stuff and don't wanna die then ZL is for you.
@@saimfaisal6795 Nilou because of how easy she feels and how strong her teams are ofc their ceiling isn't as high as the other things, but they still work, not to mention how easy it is to build them, i.E Nilou just wants Nilou+dendro+Hydro+A healer who is either dendro or hydro. it's also probably the number one AoE team in the game. it's either that or Internat or whatever Neuvillette's highest damaging team is. Fischl is because of her flexibility and good all around off field electro damage dealer through Oz and her A4 passive that has no ICD hitting everytime you trigger a electro related reaction and not to mention, being a pretty good battery yeah not as much as shogun but still ok. she's basically like the off field version of Raiden shogun and golden troupe buffed her even more. her only real weakness is that she's single target locked. i guess if she was aoe then she'd be too broken. i could probably put nilou down a few pegs to number 10 or put her in as a HM. since cryo shields are a bane, and almost made shinobu be in the top 10 beating XL, though maybe she can go to the top 10, Shinobu is extremely strong in HB but it's like her only good comp outside of that when it comes to her as a defensive option in another team(except maybe spread), you're better off slotting in someone else as a defensive option. Aggravate:The electros matter alot so you're better off making the dendro or the anemo as the defensive option then slotting in kuki. E-Charged:well from what i seen. E-Charged teams are weaker than Slotting in things like Yae/Beidou+Fischl or Raiden Double Hydro, though she is nice if you have trouble dealing with rough enemies. Chevreusse teams, well you already have a healer in Chevreusse and overload damage doesn't matter since the reaction is obviously just a means to an end Raiden hyper:uh... i don't think so since she the slots are constested for that spot.
@@antihmota4625hard disagree. Shenhe only buffs one element, Xianyun is universal and has access to stronger teams, Hu Tao/Bennett plunge for example
@antihmota4625 What makes her meta is that plunge attacks have the highest damage multiplier for almost all characters' normals attacks. Even most characters who prefer charged attacks, elemental skills, and/or burst damage can implement a few plunges in their rotation for bigger damage. You can even forego certain characters' innate playstyles all together and focus purely on a plunge rotation, and because of Xinyan's buff, still do impressive damage. Basically, any unit in the game can now be a decent main DPS. That's the opposite of niche. Not to mention, she's an anemo catalyst user who can shred resistance with VV and grant another attack buff with TTDS.
Here's something funny I noticed: if I had to pick four (4) characters who were the best in the game, they'd be Kazuha, Yelan, Nahida and Furina. I think we can all agree those were kind of meta defining, closest to "must pull" characters we've had. I just think it's interesting that each on came out in a different version. Kazuha in 1, Yelan in 2, Nahida in 3 and now Furina in 4
Same picks for me just change Furina to XQ or actually just add Yelan/Xq 1. Kazuha 2. Yelan/Xq 3. Nahida 4. Furina Sadly I dont have furina but hopefully soon.
@@isukipuri987 I was mostly just talking about the 5 star limited, but still yes, I agree. Of the power 5, I think he's the best, or at least the most versatile and fun to play I wish you luck on your eventual Furina pulls ^_^
I would personally replace Yelan with Raiden, Xingqiu already does her job almost as good and with some bonuses too while no f2p character really do what Raiden does for her team
Finally someone who see Nilou for how powerful she is. Sure, she's niche. But it took me thrice less effort to make her stronger than my Rational who carried me through floor 12 in older patches. (Even against ST enemy) And even to this day, rival my Furina vape comp. (I barely build Furina tho. She's busted. Maybe I'll get her cons) Getting Nahida also solves her ST enemy problem ( My Nilou team's artifacts that are just okay too, because the bountiful core spam has more than make up for it. )
@@osmano8498 require a rather aggressive playstyle where I constantly switch between Nahida and Full EM build Barb (I don't have Kok) with a C6 Collei. Have to make sure Collei is always ready to unleash her Q so I can constantly get that Bloom Cores spawned from her Frontloads. Barb will do the rest of the job. Granted, I have TFD for Nahida while I don't have EL for Raiden. Perhaps my Raiden isn't just at full power yet. (I use Skyward which a lot of people on r/Raidenmain say are better than R5 Catch tho. So I stop considering farming Catch) Than and I heard you're supposed to unleash Bennet's Q before XL so that she don't lost her DPS capability. Although XL always run into energy issue so I always unleash her Q first, and I guess, could have impacted my overall result?
@@silverfan9611 Oh boy lmao. Firstly TFD doesn't make a huge difference for Nahida, it's not that much better than the 4* options, so no big deal. And yeah, Skyward is a bit better than the Catch if you manage to perform better charged attacks combos with it. Secondly, uh.. yeah, you NEED to use Bennett's Q before XL. XL's burst snapshots, TLDR it means she keeps the stats she has at the activation of her burst through the entire duration of it. Meaning if you activate XL's burst before Bennett's buff, then XL is never getting buffed by Bennett. And XL is the one doing the most damage in this team (yeah, not Raiden). The Catch R5 is actually one of the best options for XL, competitive with even 5* weapons like Homa. You should farm it for her. It also takes care of most of your energy needs if you use it along with 4p Emblem. I'd advise 180 ER+ when playing her with Raiden. Trust me, normally Nilou Bloom is NOT beating Rational in ST lol.
@@osmano8498 I see, I see. I suppose XL's dmg should have been my priority then? I totally forgot what my XL's ER was. But I'll try and get better artifact for her. And ofc, R5 Catch is if it can get better overall result (since u said she Leash out most of the dmg). Although I also got Nahida to C2 this patch and Nilou bloom has just become more destructive. Maybe I'll farm for Raiden National just for fun again one day. Would be nice if Rational at full power can come at a clutch, assuming more boss like Wenut appear
Can speak from personal experience that when I luckily picked up Haitham as my first 5* DPS unit in the game as a relative newbie last year that it was a game changer, and similarly, getting Neuvi on release (as my favorite character in Fontaine after our first awkward introduction in game) was an account changer. He made so many of the domains I often spent time struggling on so much more doable, and as someone who is objectively BAD at combat (and knows it) - he helps, a LOT. His ease of use definitely made the more challenging aspects of the game (even if Genshin at baseline is a relatively easy game) more comfortable. For comfiness though, easily getting Kokomi and Zhongli were both game changers for me as well.
I agree with most of the characters except for Alhaitham. Yes he's strong but I would honestly put Baizhu instead. Even without Furina, he has basically replaced my Zhongli for survivability. I think he's underrated and is only talked about when paired with Furina. You just press a button then you're insta-healed party-wide. What makes it even better is that it's an elemental skill which makes it easy to spam.
Something that I think is worth mentioning when it comes to ease of use for new players is how far into the story you have to go for their ascension materials.
Nothing surprising, the usual suspects. You can't go wrong with any of the Archons and then there Xingqiu/Yelan, Xianling and Bennet which basically work wherever needed. Last but not least Kazuha Mr. easy and fast elemental def shred and grouping. Personally I wouldn't set Fischl before Raiden Shogun. Raiden National still clears the boss sides of the abyss in easy mode and Raiden Shogun consistently seem to have a higher use rate than Fischl. Did the new Spiral Abyss today and got 36 stars and used Raiden National in several floors... I also used Nahida Hyperbloom a lot but in that team I use Kuki for electro because I do not have Kokomi. But honestly that is just flavour.
as a f2p who only mildly pays attention to the meta, i was not expecting to have so many of these lol. i usually just pick who to pull based on what role i feel like my team is lacking, but i've managed to end up with everyone on the list except alhaitham and neuvillette (and i've been saving for their reruns for a while now). good to know all my grinding for freemos hasn't completely gone to waste... that being said i do have c2 qiqi so go figure
year ago i decided to pull for every dendro and hydro unit. just for the sake of collection. now i have all hydro and dendro units and the game is too easy for me, lol. you can throw any hydro and dendro unit in abyss and auto-pilot it. i love hydro units so much that i actually play mono-hydro team and it is one of my favorites
I never pull for meta reasons only Fun and vibes, yet I am lucky because I have so many “meta” characters but also uh don’t really build them that well so 36* is still way too difficult
I think one interesting thing to note about Nilou is, because of her need to have a Dendro unit in her team, she can also fight things like Hydro Slime and Hydri Tulpa. More easily because spamming cores are easier too now lol
Totally agree with Fischl, but may I ask your opinion on Raiden Shogun? In my opinion she’s still very broken, so I was a little surprised to not see her on the list haha
I disagree with the fischl placement it’s all very on paper feelscraft. Aggravate c0 is just aight and Neuv has far better teammates then fischl, including four stars like charllote. (Yes charllote Kazuha does more damage)
U clearly haven't played shogun. Out the box, you have the best electro sub DPS and a tier 1 support. After some fishing for the catch, you have an even stronger Raiden. At C2, you have a monster of a DPS. Raiden is a tier 0 main and sub DPS and a tier 1 support, whereas fishcls is probably a tier 1 sub DPS , so yeah, Raiden is still broken. I don't see how you think Raiden is complete crap @@Grass_rock-kb7gi
versatility means nothing when you aren’t good at anything lol. This is why niche units tend to be just as good if not sometimes better. (Look at Kuki. Only used for HB yet she gaps other versatile four stars in raw power)
Nah tbh I don’t think anyone can argue this list validly. Yea you can have you personal favorites but when you really break it down as in characters that really just improve your account across the board these 10 go without saying and it’s not even close.
I think a video on the top most versatile units could be interesting. Not necessarily the strongest in their role or element, but enables a lot of teams and keep them competitive.
The only change I'd probably do in this list is Xiangling. I'd probably change it to Sucrose or Raiden for unit that's easier to use/build Not saying she's bad but she's so reliant on having enough energy while also requiring the best stats possible. Other than that, I basically have the same characters in mind, especially with Alhaitham.
Raiden is a Lot more utility. Her energy restoration is one the best support you can get in game. But You probably have no idea what No ICD elemental application means. Fischl also has quite decent energy generation herself. And with Golden Troupe she has the HIGHEST subdps numbers in electro. (My only gripe is she needs her C6 to be broken, so you're realistically better off with Raiden anyway)
@@letsgo1572 So what? If a character that strong doesn't make the list that just shows us how strong characters have become, though I'd argue she should have made the list, her numbers are insane.
Honestly, pretty good list. Only thing is probably Fischl being here, Shogun kinda beats her in the sub DPS field. Still, solid list. Here's mine 10. Alhaitham 9. Bennett 8. Neuvillette 7. Zhongli 6. Kokomi 5. Navia 4. Kazuha 3. Furina 2. Nahida 1. Shogun If i had to choose honorable mentions, i think id go with xingqiu, hu tao, yelan, Xiangling, Lyney and baizhu I'm prepared to get slandered btw.
But i only consider neuvillette in that support tier. Simply cuz u can slot him in any team. A dps who can be sloted in anything is as valuable as a support who can also fit in many comps. He doesn't need healers or a atk buffer. Can be used in both ST and AoE situation.
f2p nilou team: barbara-dmc-collei-nilou. Required stats: hp, some EM. YEah... super hard to put together.. jesus vars... ANY hydro/dendro char can make it work and it's not powercreepable at all. What are you talking abut
its interesting how he mentioned nilou in honorable mention but didnt do childe or xiao who can easily surpass her in aoe with decent investment and not having any team restrictions
@emiliabaran6830 I don't know where the narrative comes from that if a unit needs less investment they're better like just no. Like unless u don't plan to play the game long run, having units which perform better at high investment (high ceiling) will always be better than units who perform better at low investment (high floor) cause at the end game you will eventually farm artifacts for you're characters anyways so they will end up surpassing high floor units. Edit: Also childe needs way less investment as according to gcsim, he literally does only 35% of team dps compared to xiangling who does 46% and remaining by kazuha and bennet so even if u invest kinda less on childe, team dps won't be affected that much
@@emiliabaran6830 another thing i forgot to mention is how hard nilou falls off in st compared to xiao and childe who although do fall of but not as much as nilou teams
I think that Navia would be another honorable mention just because she deals a lot of damage with f2p friendly builds. Fontaine characters are so good💧
funnily enough both benny & kazuha have dropped from their spots in the top 4 most used characters for a bit (mostly by the addition of neuv & furina) but kazuha in particular was down to like 12 spot for 2 patches. Benny is easy to justify as slowly being brought down by alternative scalers but how & why kazu dropped so far down is flummoxing, i guess it had to do with what enemies from what i can see cuz currently he's back to spot 5/6
A lot people use dendro teams. Furina kinda took over his spot as buffer in a lot of teams. Grouping isn’t as needed. Bigger enemies, bosses, or already spawning in close proximity. Also more People are learning to position themselves in abyss to manipulate a.i. movement as pseudo grouping.
Its actually a feat that even if the abyss doesn’t cater to him + inclusion of dendro and more niche playstyles he still ranks a lot higher even with new units and thats for how many years already into the game. He is the most consistently used since version 1.6. and thats something. You can see mihoyo constantly making more niche supports just so you can play other supports outside of him and yet to this current abyss he is dominating and even if its not in his favor within top 10 at most.
I'd argue nilou > alhaitham and that not all three of xq / yelan / furina can occupy the top ten, as having three nearly identical units devalues the uniqueness (ie pull value) of the other two. One should be demoted to honorable mention.
Calling Furina nearly identical to XQ/Yelan is a huge stretch. XQ in particular has very little in common with her aside from element. But I agree with you that either Yelan or XQ could have been moved to honorable mention.
@@georgemacdonald8667while they have some differences in their passives, they apply hydro off field in a small aoe. I think OP meant that they serve the same purpose in the team structure. Also I got called names for suggesting to drop yelan to honorable mentions lol yelan mains would not have take that
Yes Nilou>alhaitham she’s more convenient due to not having to stay on field (you’re able to reapply nahida’s mark more easily) and her speed runs are also better iirc (although some low cost nilou speedrunners use alhaitham lol)
Bro, Alhaitham is way better. I guess I like spread more than bloom, but nilou is NOT better than Alhaitham. Alhaitham is the best DPS behind Neuvillette, and nilou struggles against other sub DPS, mainly the hydro trio. Nilous personal damage is also not the best, u ain't using her as a main dos
@@saimfaisal6795nilou is better in both speedrun clear times and field time, and her teams are much more dominant than his teams. When I started this game to till this day, I didn’t play for the meta I just pulled whoever I liked and I hated how the word meta insulted my favs while other characters overshadowed them but now funnily enough the new characters I’m interested in are now considered meta And I look like a meta enjoyer just because I keep using them😭
Fischl I think is overrated a bit… Her teams are so so limited, and feels a bit very replaceable, like she has only Quicken which fall very hard after the release of Quickbloom, and her real team is with Neuvillette, and you can replace her with Zhongli, or Navia; in that team, and her A4 is only strong only with double Electro. The best Electro unit in my opinion is Cyno, like literally no electro character can do the strongest Aggravates on top of having the strongest, and the fastest Hyperblooms.
Not only Melt is just Vape but worse, she's also a bow charge attacker and as such is very weak to interruption and could be stuck with the likes of Zhongli or Dehya forever. Ganyu is doomed.
Zhongli is THE only character I'll always recommend any Beginner trying to get into Genshin Impact. Easily your most longevity Open world, weekly material boss, Domain, and Spiral Abyss unit worth having under your sleeve. Who'll get anyone through unprepared/unknown hazard situations or just straight up overwhelming weekly/material boss offense or burn DMG! Can easily be built compared to so many, cus you've already probably noticed this game's got a fetish for 2 particular sub stats. Defense & HP where unlike Star Rail you're allowed to have an off piece to resolve main/sub-stat constraints! Just start off slapping Instructor with as much HP before going for a support unit Millelith 4pc upgrade. Without being bombarded by the early start up difficulty spike forcing you to wait a week before getting a reasonable grasp of things. It takes people a few days to realize what resin/Abyss is, and that's fine! Given how invalid some attempts usually feel anyway, cus you're long term gonna grind some frustrating times till luck sparks. Also NEVER use Primogems to resin refresh even if it's a 50 cost. Unless you're a whale off the bat who values time over IRL currency. But even then it's pointless, cus the RNG is just plain brutal with 7 layers of stars aligning. I even think Strong box is a waste, cus you're giving up 3 5 stars that could've been fodder for 1...knowing how stupidly unbalanced Artifact EXP scaling is post lv 16(another 16 amount just to see if it's ultimately trash or ok). Hey if you got that 1 godly piece after sacrificing 300 pieces, then awesome! Let's hope it doesn't all roll into 1 unwanted stat or gets power creeped by another build. Anyway! Zhongli doesn't just have a 40 cost Geo AoE nuke, but that same burst has Petrification for 4 seconds at Lv. 10. If you've been there! You'll know a second can feel like a minute sometimes in these rotation heavy moments. So having unhinged enemies stuck in place can be a massive deal! He's still the only character who exclusively has this instant freeze like function! 2 things other than big boy digits are important in Abyss! Especially with today's gimmicks. Grouping and consistent stability. His E skill with a massive Geo AoE activation radius while shredding barrier bars(even Geo), and undoubtable the best shield to date(off how it insanely scales). Can also give you an up close 20% Elemental & Physical resistance shred. Provides solutions to nearly every issue presented here 8:42 on a count you're not too worried or wasting time getting interrupted by an off screen lunge/shot during prep. Focusing more on milking reaction damage during tight windows. If you run 4pc Millelith & Favonius Lance, then your Construct becomes a great ATK boost & battery against a lot of mobs swarming anyway. While his pulses generate a consistent shard rate for say Navia. People whine about the construct affecting reactions, but you can always IDK move away from it? Why would I wanna sacrifice my hyper carry resonance for Zhongli? Well good luck Touhou rain evading everything and anything during that set up, and hope 5 things don't come at you in sync. It's not like they can carry you to the wall during burst frames, and just get wallcombo'd to death! Or can't switch if the enemy is pressed towards you. Did I forget how some of those Floor 12 elites can 1 shot Units like Nahida, cus people are used to hyper focusing all sub stats for Crit ratios. Double edge Glass cannon > Stable consistent unit with a Geo resonance comp who makes up for the reaction damage loss. I also like not needing to be stressed during Floor 12-3 36 star re-attempts. Trying to take my burst ready team with as little damage done, cus miHoYo thinks it's better to add a silly attempt at a loadout. Than to add a chamber select option once you've cleared them. Fortunately my Navia, Charlotte, Shenhe, and Zhongli comp handles current boss rush Abyss phase great. In summary don't sleep on the Geo!
I think including Fischl in the list without including Raiden is super goofy, like, not even honorable mention somehow? I don't really care if you think Fischl is better but to not include Raiden just makes the credibility go down, even when Raiden functions better in a Neuvilette team and is by far a more general unit than Fischl.
75/167 crit, 1/10/8 talents and lvl 90 Fischl and i still can make her work, i farmed for her so she can have 170% AR and she still doesnt have permanent up time... I just can see her being better than kuki or shogun I try to use her in every team i can, and saw every guide for her and she is just so underwelming in both dmg and utility since oz simetimes focus anything but the anemy i attack, and yes i respwan him close to the zone im fighting and still feel like freaking gouba has better aim

@@someonlineidiot3595 he’s just an alternative for tighnari. I’ve played Alhaitham is too overrated, he doesn’t and never deserves to be in the top dps list. And Dendro team would perform exactly the same without him. Even if it’s just 3 characters in the team.
@@advaitraut33 Maybe check your builds and talents if you think Tigh is better than Al. I find Tighnari to only be better in quicken teams while Al in other dendro based teams, not to mention Al helps with AoE more than Tighnari who is purely single target. also the same can be said for alot of these dendro characters even you don't need Nahida, Baizhu or Tigh because dendro teams are busted. but to say he's not a top 3 dps is odd since 1 he is dendro and he can mix his own damage with other sources of damage. edit: i forgot to add his dendro app also strong as well.
If i am not mistaken, c6 sucrose is equal in power to kazuha c0 in terms of damage amplification, however i dont think she should be on this list considering Kazuha ease of use and overworld exploration aspect. I am just pointing it out to not forget her as a unit. The only teams where Kazuha is just better are teams with no reaction main dps, like Liney or Nouvilette.
sucrose at c6 only gives 20% elem damage buff, while kazuha gives 40% given that he has at least 1k em, i think even with the atk buff from ttds kazuha still buffs better than sucrose, not to mention she needs her burst for it
Her C6 buff is tied to her burst which lasts for only 6 seconds, not to mention it doesn't absorb the element right away so the buff will be even shorter. Good if your units can snapshot it, if not then it's pretty terrible considering it has 20sec CD w 80 energy cost.
I still think a bit that Cyno is better than Al-Haitham… The only buffs that Al-Haitham gets in his best team (Al-Haitham, Nahida, Kuki, and Furina); are only from Furina, and Nahida, meanwhile Cyno; he gets buffs from his best team (Cyno, Furina, Baizuh, and Nahida), are from Nahida, Baizuh, and Furina, which’s more than Al-Haitham, and let not forget that Baizuh maximise Furina's Fanfare way more a lot than Kuki. And Cyno does have Res to interruption, and also Res to interruption from Baizuh's sameless shield, unlike Al-Haitham who doesn’t have even a Res to interruption. And Cyno trigger Hyperblooms way more faster than Kuki. Yes you can say that Al-Haitian have a bit of front-loaded damage, but I can say that Cyno has more uptime, and 100 EM from his Burst. And Al-Haitham's A4 increase the damage output from his burst, and skill, like you get me *Burst,* which's not a favourable thing to him; like the Normal attacks, while Cyno's A4 increasing his Normal attacks, and his skill damage; which his source of damage…
i'd argue Al is somewhat superior because unlike Cyno he has more flexible rotations and you can still have a full EM electro unit to proc hyperblooms. Cyno may have the highest damaging quickbloom, but his burst reliant damage, his field times restrictions kinda makes him feel worse than Al. Kuki also isn't the only healer in a team, we also have pseudo healer combined with PTA Nahida. don't worry about the damage loss Furina can make up for that. ofc idk if it's better than Cyno's damage since he also has baizhu's buffs.
@@cosmicnm2543 His skill with his A4 deals like 60/65k; with Kitain Cross Spear; in total, and his does more NA damage than Al-Haitham; due to having him a passive that increase his NA based on his EM, unlike Al-Haitham. So the more buffs he gets; the more damage he can get more that Al-Haitham. And he gets more Fanfare (thanks to Baizuh's insane healing.)
@@usmanya5110 Cyno is Electro; so instead of use another Hyperblooms trigger; you can just use another buffer for him like Baizuh, which Al-Haitham can’t have… And Al-Haitian is also a burst reliant . And being his burst duration long doesn’t make his bad; his best team: Cyno, Furina, Baizuh, and Nahida; are having the same duration as Cyno's burst, and Baizuh’s buff lasts for 21 sec, and Nahida's burst also have 21 duration of buffs, and Furina has 18 duration, and 30 skill. And yes I heard about the PA healer Nahida, but I mean Cyno's Nahida is dealing more damage than this one is this case, and it’s still not as good as Baizuh’s healing. And thanks for sharing you opinion tho, my brother it was so detailed!
Y'know, I can't give Vars crap for putting Fischl as the best Electro. The reason I don't need Yae and I can field Raiden in another team, is because Fischl so much better as an off-fielder in my teams.

Anemo: 1
Cryo: 0
Geo: 0
Yeah Hydro is so fucking busted…
Cryo's main problem is the lack of meaningfulness right now:
Hydro and Dendro have the best reactions.
Anemo , or, at least, Kazuha, Venti and Sucrose, have VV , Crowd Control and support abilities (Venti can be a battery, Sucrose can buff EM and Elemental damage , Kazuha's buffs etc.)
Pyro has Pyro Resonance, plus Melt and Reverse Vaporize, two amazing reactions given how easy it is to apply Hydro or Cryo off field, plus Chevreuse that buffs Overload but we'll see how good that turns out to be with Arlecchino or even Murata.
Electro has great reactions too, expecially after Dendro.
Geo is Geo.
Cryo has, in theory, good reactions in Freeze, Reverse Melt and Superconduct, plus the ability to benefit from VV, a great set in Blizzard Strayer and a lot of good characters in Ganyu, Ayaka, Layla , Rosaria etc.... buuuuut
Freeze is a good reaction but boring and it doesn't deal damage unless you Shatter the target, something only a few characters can even do.
Reverse Melt needs you to play a Dendro character for Burning, the worst Dendro reaction.
Superconduct in theory has a lot of potential, but Hoyo refuses to release good Physical damage dealers or supports, so we're left with Eula and Femboy Eula.
*Tl;dr- We need a Dendro character focused on Burning, a Cryo character that can buff Superconduct or Shatter or maybe a character that can turn Freeze into a damaging reaction for the element to be meta again.*
Most definetly the Tsaritsa.
I love my cryo characters but the only reason they keep up with my other characters is because my Ganyu is c6 and Ayaka is c4. I dont expect majority of players to have that luxury.

I appreciate that Genshin is a game where you don't feel punished for not having the best supports or the best DPSs, so I rarely care much about Tier Lists or things like that, but it's still fun to see how the game's META evolves over the years.
I also notice that compared to other games,I don't care for the meta heroes that much.I just play what i like and still perform fine.
Definitely not dps characters but you will get punished for not pulling for supports.
@@letsgo1572 Most of the best 4-stars are completely functional without constellations, only the more niche ones like Faruzan and Gorou really rely on them

the way genshin handles powercreep is truly something i admire and appreciate. the only instance i could think of "powercreep" was hu tao with diluc, but even diluc has a chance to compete thanks to xianyun and being able to abuse diluc's highest plunge multiplier in the game. kazuha doesn't make sucrose irrelevant, as sucrose excels as an excellent anemo driver; yelan doesn't make xingqiu irrelevant, as XQ offers a bit of QoL defensive and healing utility. Wanderer and Xiao are both anemo hypercarries, but have different playstyles, and one doesn't necessarily outclass the other.
i cant place enough emphasis on it, because other gacha games have taken the pure money-making route and added new characters that completely overshadow the previous ones.
it feels like the devs truly care about every character they design (*ahem* i can't speak for dehya pls leave me alone)
Edit: someone in the replies corrected me on freminet having the highest plunge multiplier, and not Diluc. but i haven't seen freminet used with xianyun as a plunge dps. diluc's damage shines with her, while freminet has his niche playstyle that doesn't have anything to do with plunges; but thank you for the correction regardless
all i can think is the dev and animators was having fun making the dehya`s kit when they remember murata should be a pyro claymore and (probably her) kit based on her status of god of war and the resurection ("when dehya reach 40% hp or below regenerates 20% instantly and etc."), realize they dont have time enough for change her completly and nerf her, didnt hear the beta testers and throw her on the standar banner.

@@f4llenleavesyay I am going for C1 too . Though it's a 50 50
i would personally put kuki in honorable mention, completely functional at C0 (3s downtime of her Skill) at C2 its virtually 100% uptime.
Her problem is she's completely useless without dendro

I just lost my 12th 50/50 but I need 10 more wishes for guaranteed Nahida so I will put this on the background while I farm chests
I only lost one 50/50 in my entire time playing Genshin impact. I'm extremely lucky regarding that.
People overrating Fischl like crazy. The only team where she deals good damage is not even good and still has major flaws such as inconsistency and no sustain...
uhh tbf though shouldn't baizhu or yaoyao be sustainable? and is her only inconsistency in AoE, since that's fischl only big weakness.

I just realized that you now only need to pull for three 5 star characters to make 2 complete decent teams for Abyss that also make the game easier to play:
- Raiden Shogun: in the Raiden National team, one can never go wrong with this
- Neuvillette: He is THE team, the only downside of him only at C0 is the lack of resistant to interruption, but that where
- Zhongli: will come in. He literally reduces the game difficulty from 100% to 10%
As for the 4 stars: Benny, Fischl, Xinqiu, and Sucrose are the only 4 that you need to pull, whereas the other fine 4 stars like Traveler, Barbara, Collei, Xiangling, Kaeya are free
Oh boi here we go
I will never understand why people put honorable mentions at the beginning. It just takes away potential options and makes the list even more predictable. Putting them at the end makes way more sense
Since Neuvillette came out I'm using him solo in every cycle and he never let me down.

Fischl A4 just too good
But Raiden is just better? At c0 you have a tier 0 sub DPS and tier 1 support (already better than Fischl) and at C2, you have a tier 0 main DPS. That's no being overrated, that's just the numbers
@@saimfaisal6795 The downplay on Raiden is insane. Raiden over Fischl any day of the week.
If you wanted THAT much to include Nilou in the top ten you really could have just put Yealn and Xinquo under the same segment.
this is an interestin ranking. Though if i were to rank them i would probably have alot of units share the same spot
3. Kazuha, same as Nahida
4. Bennett. if you have a character that scales off attack he's one of the best buffers in the game, Stupid broken, the only bad things about him are Circle impact and elemental enemies that hard, and that he doesn't buff those who don't scale off attack.
9. Kokomi, serviceable healing, Good AoE off-Field application with no ICD, Decent damage if you build her as a half healer half damage dealer. also pretty flexible like she can be used in Burgeon, Hyperbloom, Nilou, Taser, she's good in alot of teams
10. . XL. I was wondering if Hu tao, Childe would fit in. like i said it's hard. but i think XL takes the cake here since she can dish out insane damage, apply a ton of pyro with no ICD, her only bad thing is that i think she's too tied to bennett and without bennett well good luck with your ER reqs
Honorable Mentions
Childe:A unit that has really good AoE potential, his international is one of the strongest teams in the game, i doubt it's top 5 anymore with all the new stuff, but no matter what internat will still slap amd can get better the more you invest into it, he's also somewhat F2P friendly since can also help with saving more valueble hydro characters for the other side.
Is it ranked? Cause if it is, it's criminal to put nilou above neuvillette. Only nilou and Fischl I'd disagree with. Still, I respect that
@@saimfaisal6795 Nilou because of how easy she feels and how strong her teams are ofc their ceiling isn't as high as the other things, but they still work, not to mention how easy it is to build them, i.E Nilou just wants Nilou+dendro+Hydro+A healer who is either dendro or hydro. it's also probably the number one AoE team in the game. it's either that or Internat or whatever Neuvillette's highest damaging team is.
Chevreusse teams, well you already have a healer in Chevreusse and overload damage doesn't matter since the reaction is obviously just a means to an end
Raiden hyper:uh... i don't think so since she the slots are constested for that spot.
Xianyun has definitely become another top-tier support unit. The plunge playstyle increases the damage ceiling for most teams
She is definitely not. She is on par with shenhe. And is shenhe concidered top tier? No, just niche
@@antihmota4625hard disagree.
Shenhe only buffs one element, Xianyun is universal and has access to stronger teams, Hu Tao/Bennett plunge for example
@@antihmota4625 Shenhe? That comment alone tells all I need to know about your Genshin knowledge.
@@rendition55 hmm, then maybe elaborate on your argument because She being your main doesnt make her meta
If by any chance bennet had teamwide healing, he would have power crept every support in the game lmao😂
Kazuha in 1, Yelan in 2, Nahida in 3 and now Furina in 4
Same picks for me just change Furina to XQ or actually just add Yelan/Xq

But honestly that is just flavour.
as a f2p who only mildly pays attention to the meta, i was not expecting to have so many of these lol. i usually just pick who to pull based on what role i feel like my team is lacking, but i've managed to end up with everyone on the list except alhaitham and neuvillette (and i've been saving for their reruns for a while now). good to know all my grinding for freemos hasn't completely gone to waste... that being said i do have c2 qiqi so go figure
electro is the best element bc the damage numbers have the prettiest colour 😎
year ago i decided to pull for every dendro and hydro unit. just for the sake of collection. now i have all hydro and dendro units and the game is too easy for me, lol. you can throw any hydro and dendro unit in abyss and auto-pilot it. i love hydro units so much that i actually play mono-hydro team and it is one of my favorites

Fun and vibes, yet I am lucky because I have so many “meta” characters but also uh don’t really build them that well so 36* is still way too difficult
Kuki benifited more from dendro then fischl i would say
I think one interesting thing to note about Nilou is, because of her need to have a Dendro unit in her team, she can also fight things like Hydro Slime and Hydri Tulpa.
More easily because spamming cores are easier too now lol
Totally agree with Fischl, but may I ask your opinion on Raiden Shogun? In my opinion she’s still very broken, so I was a little surprised to not see her on the list haha
she is balanced
shes an above average dps, and then just has worse hyperbloom teams then kuki
She is far from broken
I don’t care about meta, chide and cyno always will be in my heart (but I love furina and Kazuha too)
Why not do one for both: one for the most versatile and ones that do most damage
Because the best character needs to be both
versatility means nothing when you aren’t good at anything lol.
Yoimiya is the best character in Genshin, because she's my favorite
By that logic:Amber is the best character in the game because she's my favourite.
As a Neuvi main with support furina, I agree with this list
2:26, what did u do to our kazuha baby D:. can u pls do an episode about what happend to ayato or is ayato still worth pulling
I think a video on the top most versatile units could be interesting.
Not necessarily the strongest in their role or element, but enables a lot of teams and keep them competitive.
Kazuha, Furina, Yelan, Nahida, Fischl, Bennet, Xingqiu. There you go, list done.
The only change I'd probably do in this list is Xiangling. I'd probably change it to Sucrose or Raiden for unit that's easier to use/build
Not saying she's bad but she's so reliant on having enough energy while also requiring the best stats possible. Other than that, I basically have the same characters in mind, especially with Alhaitham.
The automatic RUclips chapters are so funny: Shincho, Kassa, Shang Ling, Nala, Nita, Yan - My favorite genshin characters
fischl over Raiden is mental bro does not know what he doing fr fr 💀💀
Raiden is a Lot more utility. Her energy restoration is one the best support you can get in game.
But You probably have no idea what No ICD elemental application means. Fischl also has quite decent energy generation herself. And with Golden Troupe she has the HIGHEST subdps numbers in electro.
(My only gripe is she needs her C6 to be broken, so you're realistically better off with Raiden anyway)
I appreciate that you included fun-to-play teams with your assessments.
Qiqi will always be the best in our hearts
Nah
Yes
Yeah she always appears in our 5050s
When characters like Sucrose, Navia and Raiden Shogun don't even make the honorable mentions you know that power creep has really hit the game.
Navia literally came out month ago what are talking about
@@letsgo1572 So what? If a character that strong doesn't make the list that just shows us how strong characters have become, though I'd argue she should have made the list, her numbers are insane.
Bro literally said in the intro, just cause a characters not on the list doesn't mean their bad
Honestly, pretty good list. Only thing is probably Fischl being here, Shogun kinda beats her in the sub DPS field. Still, solid list. Here's mine
10. Alhaitham
9. Bennett
8. Neuvillette
7. Zhongli
6. Kokomi
5. Navia
4. Kazuha
3. Furina
2. Nahida
1. Shogun
If i had to choose honorable mentions, i think id go with xingqiu, hu tao, yelan, Xiangling, Lyney and baizhu
I'm prepared to get slandered btw.
wait is this ordered? cuz aint no way neuvillette is behind navia and raiden lmao
😭😭@@theep89
Shogun in number one is clearly wrong but arguing with Raiden simps is pointless
this is HORRID
objectively dogshit list if this is ordered
It'd be really cool to hear your thoughts on how much potential you think some characters have, well, at least in comparison to their current state
Before the vid, I rate supports higher than dps units, they simply age better overall.

What are you talking abut
its interesting how he mentioned nilou in honorable mention but didnt do childe or xiao who can easily surpass her in aoe with decent investment and not having any team restrictions
the thing is you need way less investment for Nilou teams, because Childe and Xiao are DPS characters who care about crit while she doesn't
Edit: Also childe needs way less investment as according to gcsim, he literally does only 35% of team dps compared to xiangling who does 46% and remaining by kazuha and bennet so even if u invest kinda less on childe, team dps won't be affected that much
Nilou simply better@@brutalterminator3868
Okay sorry I didn't mean to offend.@@brutalterminator3868
I think it's still partially from version 3 bcs most dendro teams don't want him, apart from maybe aggrevate, but even then it's difficult to fit him
A lot people use dendro teams. Furina kinda took over his spot as buffer in a lot of teams. Grouping isn’t as needed. Bigger enemies, bosses, or already spawning in close proximity. Also more People are learning to position themselves in abyss to manipulate a.i. movement as pseudo grouping.
Shocking isn't it? New character are more used than old ones crazy
@@thebrigade7684 say that to lyney, navia, rizzley and cloud retainer below kokomi
As for losing to "the hydro trio", thats a silly idea bcos absolutely nothing overtakes niloom in large aoe. In what sense do u judge "way better", dont throw fanboyish words like that, you have nothing to back it up.
Neuvilette…and…Yelan???
Baizhu absolutely has to be in this list
bro does NOT play genshin impact 😭😭
Honestly it's sad how far Cryo has fallen. Ganyu needs a pyro furina or kokomi to be a powerhouse without the most circle impact gameplay.
Maybe knave can be energy efficient pyro support replacing xianling and at the same time provide dmg bonus like yelan then cryo can became good?
I really hope she gets a buff soon.
Not only Melt is just Vape but worse, she's also a bow charge attacker and as such is very weak to interruption and could be stuck with the likes of Zhongli or Dehya forever. Ganyu is doomed.
@@osmano8498 i heard that charged attack playstyle botched her capabilities with shenhe.

ah yes very foolish to pull and use anyone but neuvilette

You DARE put Raiden Ei behind someone who just talks too much
5 males and 5 females in the top 5, its a perfect balance, yet 4 hydros is an overkill of such element good lord.
I just can see her being better than kuki or shogun
I try to use her in every team i can, and saw every guide for her and she is just so underwelming in both dmg and utility since oz simetimes focus anything but the anemy i attack, and yes i respwan him close to the zone im fighting and still feel like freaking gouba has better aim

Alhaitham was undisputably the best c0 dps in the game before neuvilette. I think he's deserving of being on this list.
@@someonlineidiot3595 he’s just an alternative for tighnari. I’ve played Alhaitham is too overrated, he doesn’t and never deserves to be in the top dps list. And Dendro team would perform exactly the same without him. Even if it’s just 3 characters in the team.
@@someonlineidiot3595 Btw before neuvi the best c0 dos would be raiden shogun any day. But tbf that’s also an unfair comparison cuz she’s an archon.

Yelan are my aims in Genshin right now
Definitely want to get furina when she gets rerun. I just like the aesthetic of having allies/things on the field while I fight.
And Al-Haitham's A4 increase the damage output from his burst, and skill, like you get me *Burst,* which's not a favourable thing to him; like the Normal attacks, while Cyno's A4 increasing his Normal attacks, and his skill damage; which his source of damage…
even if cyno gets more buffs, it doesn't matter cause al still does more damage.
i'd argue Al is somewhat superior because unlike Cyno he has more flexible rotations and you can still have a full EM electro unit to proc hyperblooms. Cyno may have the highest damaging quickbloom, but his burst reliant damage, his field times restrictions kinda makes him feel worse than Al.
Kuki also isn't the only healer in a team, we also have pseudo healer combined with PTA Nahida. don't worry about the damage loss Furina can make up for that. ofc idk if it's better than Cyno's damage since he also has baizhu's buffs.
alhaithams just does more damage. also has more flexible rotations so he can function in multiwave, isnt single target locked,
@@cosmicnm2543 His skill with his A4 deals like 60/65k; with Kitain Cross Spear; in total, and his does more NA damage than Al-Haitham; due to having him a passive that increase his NA based on his EM, unlike Al-Haitham.
I personally believe there should be a top 10 4 star, top 10 5 star to highlight more units since some get overshadowed the longer the game runs
