- King of Cards marks our grandest adventure yet, and we hope the trailer whets your appetite for the banquet of adventure which awaits! It has more levels, mechanics, secrets, and content than any Shovel Knight game to come before it. It’s a spectacle, crammed to the coffers with ideas- it’s the biggest game we’ve ever made, and we can’t wait for everyone to finally, finally play it. It’s so upsetting that this game got delayed. I was on vacation in April when this game was supposed to be originally released and “BOOM” just like that.....nothing.
Then fast forward to this week they finally share some news on the game only to announce that’s it going to be delayed even further to this December.
Mind you there’s still no date. 😢☹️
I’d assume it’d be before Christmas because that would be a good decision financially, but I’m just talking out of my ass.

Imagine you’re just chilling in your castle and all of a sudden there’s a King-Themed Knight ramming your door down while an entire airship full of people looks on.
That’s how King Pridemoor feels.
Certain aspects of this remind me of Wario Land, specifically the shoulder bash, and King Knight being trapped in a bubble.

Plague Knight, more like Vague Knight... Lol, because his gameplay style really isn't comparable to any game I know, even Castlevania.
Plague Knight is like Mega Man, but you're playing through it with the most OP weapon upgrades ever.
Plague Knight was always more Metroid to me. With all the movement and stuff.
Funny thing about plague knight is that there's a cheat code that makes you walk like Alucard it's awesome.

@@athan_valentine dont be such an entitled brat, they cant just wave their hand and the game will come instantly, you realize there are only 4 people in the hollow knight team and all of them has to make the animations, art style, story, balancing, gameplay, sound, fix bugs and hollow knight is a way bigger game than shovel knight and all its dlcs combined, even with a smaller team

StormishBreeze it’s the last in these og shovel knight games, but i don’t think it’ll be the last of the shovel knight franchise. Especially with shovel knight dig coming i doubt they’ll be abandoning this series for a bit.
The game that keeps giving. Honestly, this has become one of my favorite games of all time and it's going to be a gem for decades to come in the same vein as classic Mega Man, Sonic, etc. You've created a Mascot character that has been seen in a ton of crossovers already. You should honestly be very proud of your hard work.

King Knight is really One of a Kind. He can handle more than Two Pairs to serve such a Royal Straight to his foes. It only takes a Full House of soldiers to bring him down, and even then, he just Flush them away.

I just finished Spector of torment like, last week as well and the other two, and I was hoping that this would come out soon, but just looking at it, take as much time as you need.
Please make a physical set of Joustus - I would buy that in a heartbeat! Absolutely loved the DLC, it’s my favourite of all the campaigns!

The best Shovel Knight campaign. A total slam dunk. A fun moveset, lots of challenging levels, so much content, and a Shakespearian tragedy in its main character, who has everything in him to be a true king, except his true nature is that of a fool. 10/10

No not really, the levels are much shorter so it's probably on par with specter of torment. Also, DD is a board game and dig seems to be a mobile game because nitrome

Shovel Knight King of Cards: Wario Land
Hot damn, and I thought Plague Knight's campaign looked a bit rinky-dink compared to the total conversion that was Spectre of Torment.
You know, I always felt that Specter of Torment was kind of like, the calm before the performance. You know, like the feeling of butterflies before you go on stage? Might be because of the game's status of a prequel but I always thought that the main show I'm waiting for is King of Cards. Weird I know.
Its like video game cocaine ( snorts it all) HELL YEAH! (passes out)

This looks great. But frankly, since day one I've wanted to see the bard's story.
I've always wanted to be a ballerina who coplays as a king!
As far as I'm concerned this expansion is never coming out. They announced it at least two years ago already, and delayed it several times. Now, could I be very wrong? Yes. In fact, I hope I'm very wrong, because that means I'll finally be able to stop anticipating this thing that never releases. (Yeah, I'm a tad frustrated. How'd you guess?)
