The Ford Capri was a British Ford. They had Mk1, Mk2, Mk3 models. They came with a variety of engines from 1600 straight 4, 2000 V4 to 3000 V6. They were also built by Ford Germany. (Hence left hand drive) Zakspeed was a German racecar builder. They used Cosworth engines. Those Zakspeed Capris dominated in Europe. In South Africa a company called Pirana put out Capris with a 302 Windsor. Those also dominated race tracks for years.

@modelcarvideos5829 No probs. Also, The Zakspeed Capri was replaced by the Zakspeed Mustang. There is a photo of one on your friend's shop card. I think they built these for Racing in the States because nobody knew what a Capri was.

Oooooh, that Zakspeed Capri is sweet!
A fastback coupe built by Ford Europe using the mechanicals of a Mk 2 Ford Cortina and intended as a European pony car to try and replicate the North American popularity & success of the Mustang.
Capris had a lot of success in touring car racing and rallying.

Edit! I went back and looked for that Cadillac. It wasn't a Caddy but a Rolls Royce.
You ended up with one after all!
My favorite big kits were made by Entex. At that time, I was detailing the daylights out of 1:24 and 1:25 kits. I was over the moon when I found these large-scale kits.
Later on, when I was working for a foreign car shop, I would see a customer's car and get a kit to build just like the real one. Originally, I displayed them in a glass case in the office, but the owners started to want to buy them. One thing led to another, and soon, I was taking orders and custom building kits. I usually could get enough out of a build to buy four more kits.
      Ah, those were the days.
      Cheers
      Terry

Karl Benz invented the three-wheeled Motor Car, known as the “Motorwagen”, in 1866. It was the first true, modern automobile, and that's why many name him the actual inventor. Benz also patented his throttle system, spark plugs, gear shifter, water radiator, carburetor, and other fundamental vehicle elements.

There's a testor's kit with similar box art Boyds hauler, a OBS Chevy pickup 1/24 scale that's pretty cool looking and I can't figure out where it originally came from.
I been wanting to learn how to lace up some Wheels, I wonder if there's a jig in the kit for that, it would be cool see a video on that

FYI: De Dion Bouton is pronounced "day dee-OHN boo-TOHN".
I built that1:48 scale 1931 Cadillac kit back when I was in high school as an art class project.
The French saying on the Panhard kit box means "The ancestor of the automobile."
    7/16" = 1 foot translates to somewhere between 1:27 & 1:28 scale
    3/8" = 1 foot translates to 1:32 scale

If I remember right, the mercury Capri was built in Germany and imported to the u.s. in the early 70's. The ford Capri is british. Very much the same car. I had a friend that put a Capri front clip on a mustang. Guess it bolted right on.

The 70-78 Mercury Capri was made in Germany. The 79-86 Mercury Capri was based on the Fox body and was made in USA. Most likely, your friend bolted that front end on a Mustang because they are essentially the same car. The German Capri didn't share any body panels with the Mustang.
