I agree about RMs voice, it does have something entrancing about it and I think it's the contrast to what we normally hear with auto tune and a set style and sound that we often hear now.
However, the thing that Youjeen and her mic, is actually something she does whenever she sings, the hand flutter is mainly a reduction on the stress on her vocals apparently, since her fingers that are moving are the ones at the base and not Infront of the actual microphone.

This song makes you feel. Full stop. When I first saw the music video, I sat frozen. I agree with you on future awards for this song/album. This album deserves more commercial success than it is currently getting. Radio can’t use the “it’s not English” excuse. Closer is all English. And while I am on a roll, what about the low numbers for Still Life music video? Only 11M!? It’s such a great song and the lyrics so meaningful. Ok. I’m done. Off the soap box. I’ll see myself to the door.

I love this song even more so Live. And them together on the song is just beautiful. INDIGO is a fantastic album and should get so much more recognition and commercial success than that right now. His collabs with legends like Erikah Badu, Anderson Paak, Yoojeen, and Honne really make this album unique. NAMJOON is the most prolific songwriter of BTS (with Suga and JHope). He has co written a majority of BTS songs. The depth of his lyrics, the play on words, even in English, is extraordinary. It makes you think and feel. He is an underground rapper first and foremost not a vocalist but his voice is SOOTHING. Much more so than the other members’. His 2018 album MONO was brilliant.
Well, I don't think Neil Diamond has a great voice but I love his music and singing... it is a certain charisma and he has personally lived the words he is singing - therefore as a musician you know you can love the character of his voice. On the music video only - of Wildflower, probably my favorite line because of his delivery recorded is ... " I do wish me a lovely night" the way he sings night - reminded me of older rock and roll songs and it was the first tone I heard that made me play it over and over again.
Bob Dylan sucks as a singer in my opinion but he has that unique sound I guess which made him famous.

Or maybe her voice is actually like that. Some people have talent naturally. She doesn’t need to manipulate the mic or anything. It’s insulting to her talent to say she’s manipulating the mic to create a sound she has naturally.
