- Welcome to the World of Ursi, a reboot that is loosely inspired by the Bionicle universe! For eons, biomechanical lifeforms have thrived across Ursi's six distinct biomes. But when an ancient demon emerges to destroy time itself, the island must rally together or be destroyed!

This sounds like the start of a Bionicle TTRPG that's trying really hard to scrub copyright, and I'm all for it.
There already is a TTRPG, look up Doronai Nui. There’s also an older one but I don’t remember it’s name. Both have rules and their own systems. Both are fan made but amazingly well made. The Doronai Nui is made by Red Star Games.
I already love this reboot! I love the entire backstory. I'm really looking to seeing more of the entire world in action, and interested to see what is coming next in the world of Ursi.

This looks really great, just similar enough to invoke that Bionicle feel but still distinct enough to avoid coming off like g2 with the serial numbers filed off.
Ahahaha it is fairly similar at the core. I didn't want something so off-putting that it felt unfamiliar. There's definitely quite a lot of variation in store. This is not a happy go lucky Lego world. There's some heavy stuff.
A part of me is like "aaah it's similar to what already exists, just use the previous names" and then another part of me is like "No, it's okay, it's different, let it be different".
A lot of those concepts are pretty similar to my own ideas for a reboot/reimagining of Bionicle, though I'll admit I mostly was reimagining G2.
Completely respect the sentiment, Boise. There are indeed numerous similarities between the existing IP and mine. This video is the most introductory look imaginable of what I have planned. My hopes are that, as I develop this world, you'll come to find why it's in fact so different. For example, the tribes never quite recovered from their dislike of one another. The Wardens do not exactly help in this matter either. The name of the game is flaws, and Ursi is a flawed world full of flawed people.
@@PlayStippling I find that those themes fascinating. Bionicle G1 and G2 were about, well, Unity, Duty, and Destiny, so having a more fractured world with different themes and motifs sounds like a breath of fresh air.
I also love the animation. Did you do it by yourself?
Great to hear! Yup I did most of the animations myself. A few of the more technical bits are licensed assets that I got permission to use.
@@PlayStippling That's really impressive! Must also take a lot of work. I assume other Ursi-verse videos won't have the same style of animation?
@@BoisegangGaming I didn't plan on it initially but I had so much fun with it that I did another easier one for an upcoming video. So I think I'll be continuing doing these when I can.
Welcome back Stippling, this was such a great start and I LOVE this story!!! It warms my heart to see my all time favorite Lego series to recieve something like this. I do hope for the best and may this World thrive through the Unity of Bionicle Fans alike for this idea, the Duty you now hold, and revive Bionicle...as it is your *Destiny....*

Hey thanks so much for the comment! Absolutely quite a number of them will slide in pretty seamlessly to this world. I can say with certainty Yalgarok, Plague Beast, and Rakkar (+Alpha) are canon to Ursi. I may dive deeper into their stories and there's definitely others that may slide in. Any thoughts on what you want to see?
@@PlayStippling I don't remember what its name was, but the Sky Warden would be really cool to see again. Aside from that, though, maybe some of your customs would be nice to see.
@@jordanianstudios Yeah, he did say somewhere in the comments of Eirowar (the sky warden)'s video that the wardens had their own lore. Excited to see what it is.
This is really cool! Interesting choice to start off with practically a beat for beat remake of the original 2001 arc. I couldn't have resisted the impulse to put some new big spin on things.
I'm excited to see where this goes.

Thanks Daniel! You're absolutely right. There is a pretty terrible plague infecting the marshlands of Dahlu. Will definitely explore that more in the future!
@@PlayStippling Awesome! I love Plague Beast, it's a great MOC and it'd be cool to see hordes of them across Dahlu and go against that regions Warden. I hope you bring back the Baroness of the Skull Spiders in some form as well, see her terrorize the people of Iski, perhaps if the Baroness had a function where she could catapult Skull Spiders or other projectiles that should could use against the villagers and Wardens?

I like all the varying colors of the masks also glad you didn’t just rehash the og 6 again good decisions obviously mostly everyone here probably wants a reboot to happen but if they ever do it again they have to be smart about it and not just assume the consumers would buy out the entire stock

Wow. I actually am making a very large story. I started the story in second grade when I created two random Bionicle MOCs. As time went on, I created all of the main parts of the just by messing around with my Bionicle MOCs and making new ones. It now would have to be a thirty-part novel series to tell the full tale. It also has nothing to do with Bionicle's story. It's entirely unique, but I have Bionicle, Hero Factory, and many other things I love to thank for it. I wonder if your villain could beat mine.

This is the best timing ever, I used to watch you in middle school when I had a bionicle fase, you grew my passion for custom builds so much sadly it died out for awhile but I just got back into it as well I ordered bionicle sets for the first time in years and started building mocs again. I'm so happy I rediscovered bionicle and I'm so glad you're back with it.

I like the idea of the island being frozen in time
It's a cool thought, right? It's something I'm going to have to work on explaining better. Time definitely isn't entirely frozen thanks to the Fragments of Mahri, but it does not flow consistently. There are glitches to the Matrix that are an ongoing issue.

Wow that Was perfect especially the wind creature I forgot the name but it is kind of strange to fight at everything else it was it was animated but yet this creature looks like shadows or fog just moving It's still nice though

You know i hope for good being or beings of the shadow world and one of them become the 7th warden of light and shadow someday after entering ursi the first time in their lives
To be honest, I don't think I like the idea that much. But it doesn't mean I'm not here for it, I really want to see how it develops and expands. Who knows, maybe it's just a bad first impression and maybe with time it'll actually become something very big. I mean, some things started as not really looked at as promissing at first but once they were actually made they became actual great hits that nobody expected to do that well before they lunched. So anyway, I hope to see it grow and expand. Even if I'd end up still not liking it in the end I wish good luck with the idea man.

I love the concept of this world and its ideas, but it feels just too much like g2 with some names changed. I think maybe if you looked to people like jangbricks, with his creations the rilovians and the ptah, or maybe even lego themselves with slizers which were very unique yet similar to bionicle.

Yes! Yalgarok is absolutely a mythical figure in Ursi. Many others too.
