THE PERFECT SETUP!? 2017 Raptor with SPD Loop (or trombone) and AWE 2FG H pipes.

  • Finally got the SPD loop in after months of waiting and installed it. already had the 2FG H pipe on for about 2 months. The 2FG replaces the muffler and the loop replaces the resonator so now it's basically straight pipe besides the stock cats. only other thing done is the Cobb tuner.
    Impressions:
    It growls even at very low cruise speeds and now it sounds as mean as it looks! honestly it's not very loud inside the truck, I'm not sure why but my guess is since theres no muffler or resonator for the exhaust to vibrate around in, it lowers the vibrations and volumes and everything just shoots out the back? The echoes from it bouncing off walls cars and trucks are wayyy louder than what you hear from inside. I haven't heard anything about a break in period for the loop but definitely for the 2fg, I'm sure the sound will change and the miles go in so maybe it'll sound even better with time.
    next vid will be some drive bys...

    Very nice. Do you still have this same set up? What is the sound difference between the OEM resonator and the trombone cruising and a hard acceleration?

    Did it take away the rasp from the 2FG only setup? Right now I have 2FG only and get nasty rasp when cold/certain RPM's acceleration ...not a fan lol

    Was just wondering, would this work with a remmus side exit exhaust on a 2020?

    • @highsport850
      @highsport850  Год назад +2

      Im not sure if there would be enough room to fit one of these under a hellcat 😅... The main purpose though is to equalize the length of the exhaust to get rid of that raspy V6 sound these trucks are known for

    • @splewy
      @splewy Год назад

      Hellcats (and pretty much all other V6/V8 cars) already have equal length exhausts. The whole point of the trombone loop on trucks is to lengthen the passenger side exhaust to make it equal length to the drivers side. That’s why trucks usually sound way different than cars, even with the same engine. Whether or not the exhaust lengths are equal has a big effect on the sound.
