Bridle Riding Up Roller Muzzles | Unrolling The Rollergun

- In this edition of Unrolling the Roller, I cover ‘Bridels Riding Up Roller Muzzles.’ This is something that happens when there is too much gradient on the rail of the muzzle which lifts the shaft by the notch or sharkfin instead of freely releasing the shaft. This lifting of the shaft causes inaccuracy and or wobble which also reduces the shaft speed.
In this video I show you how to fix or modify your muzzle to eliminate the bridle riding up and lifting the shaft.

I have a mvd g2 roller head on my rob Allen and it is shooting low and since the rails on the roller head are metal I have no solution, any ideas?
In my next video I will show you an alternative solution👍
Here is an alternative solution ruclips.net/video/7ano5v0UyZA/видео.html
Thanks. Struggled with this very thing while spearing on Guam. Nothing more frustrating than loosing a doggy because of issues with an inaccurate and unreliable gun - especially after paying extra for the best new mod. Look forward to seeing your solutions.
Second
If possible always try to test your gear before a trip - ideally in a pool, which is not always possible.
Fuck me thats genius, simple fix id never have thought of
I learned so much watching your videos how setup my speargun
How about shafts with sharkfins and shooting line looped and crimped to front sharkfin? Same effect?
I dont think the line attached to the sharkfin will have an affect on the bridle riding up.
It will have more to do with the angle of the muzzle rail and how far back the sharkfins are raked back.
Makes perfect sense. Thank you.
that's very smart idea , thanks Coatsman!
Thank you so very much for always sharing your wealth of knowledge with us all. Always keep safe and God bless🤙🤙🤙your # 1 fan
AWESOME TIP
that would not work if using sharkfin spear. the shark fins would cut the wishbone. do you know of any fix fr shakfin ride height? im thinking about shaving the fins down 1mm to avoud this
Great input 😎🤙🏽
Will this also apply to metal stopper tubes on wooden guns?

I have a rob allen roller head does this head has this problem?
No, not unless you have a very old muzzle.
Can that roller head work as a replacement for the Rob Allen gun?
Not this specific one it is an old redundant design. See my newer designs at coatesmans.com 🤙
Does Rabitech roller heads have this problem?
Rabitech have accounted for stopping the bridle. But check where your bridle would be in shaft and if it will ride up or not.
Do the same basic test as I did. This will give you an indication if you have a problem or not.
Have you ever experienced this riding up problem with a mannysub roller Coates?
No Mannysub are good 👌
I think Pathos Sniper Roller does NOT need this mod … Is that right?
