- Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre has built his reputation as an outspoken critic of the Canadian federal Liberal government and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Now, the party is trying to showcase Poilievre's softer side, looking to capitalize on the Conservatives’ growing lead over the Liberals in the polls.
Mackenzie Gray explains how Poilievre's family is a part of this advertising blitz and the key voters being pursued.

But how about an actual Maple Leaf for Green Party of Canada? An actual Maple Leaf would never send millions of Canadian's money overseas for weapons, military or war. It would never give subsidies to big business and certainly wouldn't incentivize ecological pollution and destruction. An actual Maple Leaf would be a great leader of Canada, far better than any mainstream politician or party that I am aware of.

You do know that Pierre is a career politician and supporter of the market capitalist system, which is structurally unsustainable, right? If you understand that and are okay with that, and it goes sideways, as easily predictable, then that's your choice. Just be sure you are more informed about how economics, social systems and the environment works than the politicians you are endorsing. Otherwise they rule you.

So they are torn. Do they vote NDP? Well, maybe locally there are good reps, but they might not agree with the leader. Do they vote Bloc Que? Well only in Quebec and that could take 50% of the votes that could never reasonably elect a PM out of that. Do they vote Green? Even if it is a principled vote and they aren't excited by the leader, they might do it, but like human beings who don't like to be 'apart from the group' they may think it isn't worth it.
If I was in America and had any sort of decent values, it would be obvious to vote for Dr. Cornel West for their Green Party because he is about unity for the whole world, peace, justice and fighting for the rights of the least of us, not the corporate interests. Now, that could make a big difference to all nations.
The Presidential election is in late 2024, where I believe the next Federal election in Canada would be 2025. Imagine what even a big result, even without winning, that a Green Party Cornel West campaign could do to influence the minds of Canadians. They could look for that sort of candidate to vote for in Canada. One who has a long track record of fighting for the oppressed and exploited, for standing up for justice, peace and truth. Could be a big deal.

What policies of his do you like? How will they support the needs of the most struggling lower and middle class Canadians instead of the needs of the corporate elites and their drive to maximize profits?

@@ReNCaTzZz I don't think there are any significant Liberal party policies that do what I've said to address the core issues. That's why I don't support the Liberal or Conservative parties. They are really more aligned with corporate, capitalist interests and little bit of change to the poor and working people to try and appease them. Not nearly enough.
Solving poverty and homelessness are technical issues, not something a profit-seeking privatized industry can solve. When you have a economic system that commodifies basic needs and puts the control of access to that in private hands for their own profit maximizing interests, we are going to face more and more mounting problems with cost of living and the negative externalities of poverty, homelessness, mental health and crime, etc.
We need a new social system to emerge and then we could push for candidates that reflect those values, maybe because they were actually part of the new social system building themselves. Take Michael Tellinger, for example, he's an author, historian, musician and many more titles. But he tried to get an Ubuntu party elected in Canada. A party about social change. Ubuntu Contributionism, a cooperative, collaborative approach to community self-reliance, abundance and prosperity. But he found out the corporate-captured political scene is a cesspool. Not a viable way to actually make change, for the most part.
So, he developed the One Small Town model. The website and platform for communities to choose to create their own prosperity and abundance, step by step, project by project. Now already started in Lebanon and South Africa, and ready to go in many towns around the world. Canada has multiple communities that would benefit from this model, just needs some starters, Ambassador and volunteers.
If you have any better ideas, I'd be open to hearing them.
@@coolioso808 For me it would be axing the carbon tax, removing the red tape that is holding up home building and even offering incentives to cities that build more homes. I like giving Red Seal tests to immigrant doctors and nurses (over 120,000 in Canada right now), to have them prove they are up to Canadian medical standards and help our mental system. I also like repealing things like the Liberal policies that allow for the 20% of repeat criminals that are doing over 80% of the crime with bail reform and removing that stupid idea of all sentences being minimum and having to work to get a maximum sentence. Things like having a mass murderer actually stay in max and never be transferred to medium security. More rehab and less "safe supply" that are being funded with tax payer to give addicts drugs they sell to kids and use that money to buy harder drugs. I can give you more if you like.
The winds of change is here, people will vote him to be the next PM.
Voting Conservative is the only way out of this mess we're in. The out of control spending needs to stop.

As eager as I am to be rid of Trudeau, I've thought that his desperate clinging to power is probably in the long term a good thing, as it further damages JT's legacy and makes it less and less likely that the Liberal party will feel the need to eventually run in his failed ideas again. It also gives PP time to build support and widen the gap at the polls. All in all I'm hoping that Canadians in our wisdom give Trudeaus liberals the '92 Mulroney treatment and the liberals are never enticed to pick berries on the quasi-commie path they've been on, again.

I was hired as a contractor for the FJC in Ottawa 4 years ago and I had my position cancelled when they found out that I actively support the PPC (name changed now). They didn't like that I was in 3 Conservative election war rooms and even was a GOTV ride in two of them. Pierre , please save our country !!! FJC is a liberal cesspool and they never gave a response to the challenge from the director of the agency nor did Trudeau ever address a letter sent to the PMO as no valid answer was ever given for the termination.

60 Minutes Australia uploaded an old interview with Margaret Trudeau three years ago. It explains a lot about Justin's upbringing.
I met both Pierre and Anaida in North Bay when he was campaigning to be the Conservative leader. Both were available for photos and one on one questions and discussion after the rally. My take is both are direct, serious and intelligent. Two ladies in line in front of me were grilling Pierre for being under the influence of the WEF, and Anaida spoke up and made it clear they never have been and why it was not possible. This is the kind of leadership Canada needs to get to the top of the G7 again.

Pierre has to speak of investigating senior RCMP officers for criminal links to Liberals and CSIS too. There needs to be a 5 yr pause in immigration so that services and infrastructure can catch up.
