People talk about KTM reliability being suspect. But their Motocross bikes have been bullet proof for me. This bike should impress. With this bike I agree KTM is back.
I'm impressed by people riding around on a sporty street bike, at a lively pace, and still tell a comprehensive story... This was on a whole other level!
I love how the track is configured. Gives you an option to hit the jumps or continue on asphalt. I have to get out of the south east and head west. So many cool tracks!
Your skills off-road are improving by the day! It is always so good to see you do a video as versed to you one of those younger posers who try to imitate you on your own channel. OK maybe not your channel but nonetheless it’s good to see you on here Adam. From a fan in Bloomington Indiana
@@grandbleu944 You want a street legal SM, that's the one to get IMHO. Much more durable/reliable than converting an MX bike and titling it for the street.
@@grandbleu944 For street use? I get it for the kart track, but for the street wouldn't you want something you don't have to do some pretty decent work on about every 30 hours? No thanks, I'll just do oil changes on the 690 and more riding.
I did a bit of supermoto racing in the mid 00' [on a 250c] and for me personally I found foot out MX style to give tighter lines and more front end feedback around corners than roadracing style kneedown. But smooth riding in the video and it definitely made me miss those days. Good review, thank you!
A while back a couple SM guys showed up to our minimoto race to goof off. One of the 150r riders happened to have his 450 SM with him. He used to race MX, but converted to knee down instead of foot out. It was less flashy for sure, but even down on power he was killing the SM guys who came out. Reinforces that there isn't a wrong way, just your way. The foot out style did make it far harder to make a pass, the knee down guy had to be far more aggressive than normal on his passes but carried more corner speed. He was down on HP so he got passed on the straight every lap (Grange in Apple Valley).
@@halfblindmotonut he's a great rider for sure, I didn't mean to say he was a bad rider. I just seen a lot of mc commute videos that were not as impressive, he's still a far better rider than I am

How can you explain the bike in the same time of rocking the hell out of it? Man that some extraordinary ability, yet please bear in mind to give 100% focus on the wheel all the time... No hatin', just a caring viewer here.
Track time on a bike like this is a blast, unfortunately not street legal to enjoy the thrill there. My modded DR650 is nowhere in this league but its still a blast to attack tight, twisty chewed up back roads on it. Light makes right and power to weight ratio equals fun.
Hahaha! Adam... Hooskvarna? Even if (in today’s weird topsy-turvy world) you’ve found that’s the proper pronunciation, please never say it like that again. :) Otherwise, thanks for keeping your reviews [seemingly] unscripted. Keep up the real-world stuff.

Lighter, quicker turning, low end torque, better braking power, goes offroad... I own a 701 supermoto and I beat alot of supersport riders on the twisties. Ride a supermoto hard and you'll understand :D
now this is what I call a commute. Impressed with your ability to rip the hell out of that bike and talk at the same time!
Yeah, a commute to the mechanic is more like it
Very nice. Thanks for the nice feedback.
Yeah.. great motor journalists is like that!

Decent lap times considering you are riding around talking at the same time!

This is why Adam is one of my favorite journos. Best commute ride ever! Awesome riding and commentary Adam!
Everyone who has ridden a supermoto on track knows how physically demanding it is. Kudo's for talking while riding on track!
Finally a review that’s isn’t just somebody doing wheelies down the street! Outstanding skill. Thanks!

Kudos to you for hooning like that and still explaining the bike! Most impressive!
these karting tracks are insane fun!! love it
It's just that, outstanding riding skills on that KTM and track.
I just wonder why there is not many views on this channel considering there subscriber count !!! Deserves more view counts
Best MC Commute ever. That bike rips.
Your handling of this bike is awesome. Congrats! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Brian. Thanks man. Very nice. Stay warm over there in the Hoosier state.
Love the vids guy’s great stuff
For $11,300 I want it to have 17” wheels front & rear and with lights and mirrors so I can go terrorize the neighborhood 🤪👍
690 SMC R
@@johnridesadv2512 nice bike, not a pure breed sm though

@@johnridesadv2512 yeah I see your point but personally I still prefer a wr450f converted🙂

Man you have the best job in the world. If you're hiring, I'd move across the world to assist with anything. Good video as always 👍
Adam you crack me up man! Well could’ve switched to second camera to see you cutting the rug on that little track. Great bike for sure! 💯

Ugh kart tracks are a riot. Bet that bike is a real treat too
Now I want you to ride the 690 street version.
Not gonna lie I've been critical of your riding before but damn you were ripping it out there well done mate
Really? Interesting I always felt like Adam was considered to be a great rider in all of the videos/reviews I've seen him ride in.

Simultaneous spirited 😜 riding all while thoughtful articulation through a product review is kinda hard to find the criticality on anyone’s riding.

One of these days, I’ll be good enough to warrant buying this race machine
Can you guys get ahold of a klx 300 sm? That'd be awesome, not much footage yet.
Anybody else already knew this track from MotoJitsu videos? 😆👍
Cool riding and must be fun to ride this bike!
why did i feel this course is the one that moto jitsu train at..
They're both in socal so it probably is
what is the purpose/benefit of a plastic bottle type brake master cylinder vs the normal dirt bike one? Is it just weight saving, or other stuff..?
This is nice, yes, but howabout KTM 1290 SMR nice?
Where in SoCal is this track?
Technically Perris. Riverside had a track too (Adams).
Dude is a badass!
Fuggen love that bike!
If that bike were his, Adam would be riding it on the street!
Ive ridden at Apex. You should have gone when the locals were out..........
That front fender looks phallic. I can't unsee it.
Thanks
Just priced one out...$14,700 out the door. Dang! 😑

I don't understand super moto racing. Just race normal bikes

What is a normal bike? MX, RR, enduro, rally, cafe?
I'm not into SM, I prefer RR. But I don't see the problem with it.
