Thomann and especially Harley Benton have great deals
just got a Harley Benton Dr. D and a Dealbreaker from Thomann a few days ago, and especially considering what they cost they're great - hard to beat a perfectly fine sound for a little under $20!
Bought Harley Benton's Fusion-III HSH Roasted a couple of years ago, the one that's sort of based on Guthrie's signature model. Well built and super comfortable roasted neck, no buzzing anywhere, perfect string height balance, stays in tune (also with tuning lockers), whammy and coil splitter. Only around ~350€ I believe. Elbowed its way to being one of my main axes even though I have several more expensive alternatives, that's how well it plays. Can't comment on other models but this one delivered on that price/quality ratio...and more.
@@bonaqua123 Got me a Double Cut LTD in Gotoh Black with a coil splitter as well. Even being B-Stock, it was in near new condition and plays phenomenally. Plus, the black and gold look great together. Can't complain when the price before shipping was UNDER 200 USD.
Have a pink Fusion-III, it's an amazing guitar regardless of price, selling it since it has more of Mexican fender C neck which is a little thicker than I prefer and I mostly play 7 strings now but I highly recommend it
Now all of the pedals on Temu just went up in price.
Budget gear is so much fun. Yeah, you can spend 2K plus on a guitar. But the gear that’s made me the happiest has all been acquired for under 500 bucks.
You just need to have the right selections to have the best for the less

It’s almost like basic guitar pedal circuits are exactly the same and don’t offer any variation until you start building off of those simple circuits to create something unique. Shocking stuff.
I do like these companies coming in and making affordable pedals to help keep the boutique brands honest. Things were getting pretty crazy for a while. “Hey we’re a boutique pedal company. Our pedal has an overdrive AND a boost!!! $599 please!!!” 🤦♂️🤦♂️
That $16 chorus pedal is awesome, I have the same one and I like it.
I've had a US Dream for over a year and it's actually one of the best od pedals I've ever owned.
I've had that exact Chorus pedal for a few years... I love the sounds it makes. 10/10 would recommend.
I think OD pedals are your best bang for the buck for cheap stomp boxes. I wouldn't run a 20 dollar reverb, but I have a $30 OD pedal on my board right now
I think there could be some fun to be had in a budget guitar shootout between Temu/AliExpress Guitars, Indio and Harley Benton guitars - just to see how they match up. The pedals were awesome though!

i can't wrap my head around a guitar pedal that costs 7500. I bought a G1XFour and although limited i've been having tons and tons and tons of fun with it. Everybody is different. Love the channel!

I got a chorus pedal for $10, but it was used.
It’s great as a basic chorus, which I like for bass
I have a chorus I also got used, that I use for guitar
It cost more, but was < $100
It does more, so is worth it for guitar
In the 80's I made my own effects (fuzz, reverb and Wah) Electronic parts are so much cheaper now so 7500 for a pedal is nuts, somebody is getting very rich.

Funny thing, I just watched a guy take one of those $89.00 knockoff Strats. Took it apart and went through it. I was impressed with the neck pocket.
Extremely tight. Did some fret work, and cleaned it up. Sounded great.
To be honest Tyler, you have the ability to make shoestring and a rubber band sound amazing.

Sounds close to your pedals but how long will they last , thats the question?? I know Temu makes some good products though. Like some pickguards with Alnico pickups. Just have to be lucky to find a good one. ✌️✌️

Temu's boost and OD sounded a bit like they were being played in a tunnel, good but not great. But that chorus and especially that Klon clone... Damn, son! I was purposely not looking at the TV when you were A/B'ing the pedals and a Boostaur might have to find a home in front of my amp.
My favorite cheap guitar gear is actually a solid state amp by fender called mustang 1 V.2 & an fx10 headphone amp & a behringer heavy metal makes your guitar sound like a robot or kinda like Buckethead best 3 things I own
I have a donner pedal that has chorus, phase, rotary, flanger that you can choose from with a switch. My mxr phase 90 & DOD super chorus pedal have been kicked off my pedal board by a $40 pedal.
4:20 I would make the argument that any "clone" with more knobs will usually sound better just because you can tweak your sound more than how you want. In this case the clone has both bass and a tone, which is more powerful.

I think its more about the glaring fact that Klons don't sound that great and that sticks out like a sore thumb when you play it alongside a clone with some actual brightness to it. Oh and the guitar may well have stayed in tune but it's got some horrendous grounding issue.

Watching on youtube and the difference is obvious between the pedals, i can only imagine how much better the pricier pedals sound in person. Not sure if you’re just being nice to affordable brands, but you can definitely make an argument about bang for buck and return on investment. For example, the klon sounds better but not $7000 better.

The Chinese can and are making quality guitars and gear. 2021 Shijie for $1100. Custom shop level at 1/3 the price. If you've been interested in one, but are not sure, pull the trigger. You won't be disappointed.

The case is one of two things, 1. The good materials of 20 years ago to make things have become today's cheap materials which results in lower cost for a better quality item. or 2. The name brand companies are using the same cheap materials as the cheap companies and you are getting a $50 pedal with a $200 name...or in the case of the Klon...a $5000 name...

It's almost as if effects pedals aren't really that hard to make anymore, and the expensive stuff is just expensive to make gear snobs feel validated. (And jack up profits)

What was not mentioned is that these budget pedals are extremely noisy, like a quiet riot, which makes them impractical.
I understand you're just trying to make money off of this but you're lying to yourself along with us that the more expensive pedals don't sound better.
I don't think he's trying to lie. But I think he just exaggerates the point on the cost difference. Unless we're all as good as he is and as minted as he is, then these budget pedals will be more than fine.
Sometimes they do though. The Mooer tender octaver and the DigiTech Bad Monkey are just two examples I can think of ( although both have skyrocketed in price the last couple of years).
Some pedals just sound different, and especially with overdrive/ distortion/fuzz pedals, that difference is only better by preference.

the 50$ distortion delay sounds like mashed potatoes and the walrus actually sounded clear. idk if you didn't dial them to match or they just don't sound the same.
I watched an Andertons video where they proved expensive pedals sound better through an actual valve amp. When it came to solid state & plug-ins, the cheap pedals sounded close to the expensive ones.
There's a big difference, BUT not a 8 times one. For me it's around 30% of sound differences. But from 30$ to 300$, hells no, the difference is not that high 😂
