Absolutely awesome, man!! Until you mentioned you are an amateur cue maker, I never would have thought it. You clearly have a talent for it. That cue you made looks fantastic!!
Now I get why cue sticks are expensive. Thank you for opening my eyes to the amount of work, time, and attention to detail needed for a single cue stick.
"I'm extremely proud of this one" You should be man, it's beautiful! Keep doing it, I'd love to have the cue with that much love put into it's creation
What I found TRULY amazing...is the design and craft of the machinery, attachments and accessories, that allow, to turn simple wood in works of art. THAT is awesome for me.
Definitely a lot goes into these cues, one would definitely have to appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into producing such a great product. Great job
This cue turned out great. I want to get into making cues, as a hobby and a side job. My father used to always tell me that I could and that I should. Playing pool was one of the things we bonded over very much. I hope to get a lathe one day so that I can being to practice this art. Until then, I will study what I need to learn, and hopefully one day I can begin.
I think this is the 6th video of yours I’ve watched. You have amazing talent! Another gorgeous, one-of-a-kind cue! I’m am in absolute awe of your skills. If I ever hit the lottery, I’ll be asking you to make me some cues, for sure! Watching your videos relaxes me, very therapeutic. I could watch them all day. So, until I can afford one, I’ll just keep dreaming and watching all of your content. ❤😊
I made thirty pool cues back in the day, using a router a drill and a box made of wood which guided my router as the drill turned the blanks..sold em all👍
i bought a 7 point joss cue back in 1997 for 400 i think... never seen a cue be made.. amazing work and so precise... and yes elephants are indeed awesome
Wow! Awesome looking cue. Your talents really showed up in the final product. It made all of us very appreciative of all the steps that goes into make a cue. Thank you! Hope I can buy one or have one made as a retirement gift for myself😊
great job, and as a german i like a black, red.yellow combo.)))) my cuebuilder is soon turning 71 and i am scared when he will retire, Seeing the young folks having fun in building cues gives me hope
If this is what a “beginner” cue looks like, I can’t imagine what a professional cue looks like! 😮 I’m getting into making walking sticks/canes and will use some of the techniques you use for the cues, but mine won’t be as intricate, and don’t need to be as straight. But I got a lot of great ideas here, in terms of design, techniques, and finishing. Great work! 😊
Wow is beautiful 😍 just a stunning looking cue man. Real inlays, great selection off woods. Impressive craftsmanship. I hope I can afford to buy a cue stick like that one day.
Realy impressive! I especially appreciated the work you put into treating the cue top with different kinds of oil. Also it was also highly peaceful to watch it all with no comments. Amature????? No pure talent!
Fantastic video gorgeous cue and you are not what I would call a beginner. That cue is well worth triple digits and probably more (USD). I recently had a cue built for me at $750.00 and that is every bit as nice as the one I have. One thing that I'm not a fan of is using the computer to do routed inlays that have sharp points. It just seems real obvious to me that they were CAD routed when the tips are rounded. It takes away from the obvious craftsmanship when people think you just pushed a button on a computer to add all that detail, but that's just personal preference. I would like to see the CAD inlays done to add a water wave pattern or some other cool design where the router bit limit isn't so obvious. Man though, very nice cue and I think you have the process nailed only thing you'll likely improve on is speed with practice. Great great stuff!
The size of the ferrule on that cue must be made for 3-cushion. The pool cue ferrule is twice the size. But you did an awesome job placing it together. That could fetch at least $500 to $900 because of the ivory. BE SURE TO PATENT IT SO NO ONE CAN STEAL YOUR DESIGN. YOU HAVE BUSTED YOUR CHOPS MAKING THAT MASTERPIECE.
Had a legend make me a full splice cue. Was a masterpiece and sadly it's gone. Had to pawn it and couldn't get it back in time. Was made for me and was a gift from my dad. Your not doing bad should hit the guy up if he's still alive he was down to part time and he's a true master
Thanks for all the comments! Email is much better for me. Any questions can be directed to studiotronicsyt@gmail.com
