My wife has been fighting a losing battle with a rare chronic disease for years, and we are unfortunately nearing the end of her journey. I've been by her bedside 24/7 in the hospice unit since we have been here, and have watched this trilogy of videos as they have been released. As absolutely gut wrenching as they have been, they have also been amazingly helpful as an emotional outlet (I don’t think I’ve cried this many tears within the last year combined).
From another man in his 30s, thank you for sharing your reaction and showing that it is OK to wear your heart on your sleeve, and show emotions and cry when you need to. I've spent so much of my life trying to keep everything to myself, embarrassed of what others might think, only to realize that everyone I've ever encountered is completely supportive and it's been such a weight lifted off of my shoulders.
Love ya man, keep up the excellent work🤘

Man, I’m sorry for what you and your wife are going through. You sound like a great husband and that you’re there for her.
And I feel you on the keeping emotions to yourself. I went through a lot of life like that, and it’s way easier to just be vulnerable and express your emotions freely. I feel like it’s a lot healthier, too.
      Stay strong, man!

The dude who did the acting in this was fucking incredible. The face he's making at the funeral is so accurate for me. He's not listening to anything. He can't hear anyone. He is in his head with the darkness, and there is no light anywhere. He genuinely does not care about anything anymore. In the first video we got what felt like genuine happiness, and then concern. In 2, we got what looked like a tormented soul.
So for me... I lost someone who was like a sister to me, to really horrible diabetes (dialysis every other day, and she had also gone blind due to it(diabetes, not dialysis)). I was in her hospital room, trying to come to terms that she wouldn't be around for more than a couple months. Everything he displays (aside from things that happen in PR2) are emotions that I've gone through.
The breakdown when "and bury me" comes in, is when I can't hold them back anymore. Walking into an empty house is so shattering, and you just feel nothing but dread, and numbness. And then the resignation to entering. The video... the music... it is perfect for that emotion. That whole buildup I can just feel my eyes starting to burn. And naturally I completely lose it at the outro
I have absolutely nothing but praise for this album, and especially this trilogy. 32 years old, and it took Lorna Shore for me to get excited about deathcore. DEFINITELY my album of the year. After this came out, I honestly forgot who released albums this year. I've been looking forward to this one since they dropped the first single. As of now the only other albums that I've liked this year was Scoring the end of the World, Tekkno (I'll have to check out the new architects and nothing more albums, and also wtf wednesday13 released an album???)

This trilogy has brought to the surface a lot of feelings that I have repressed and did not allow myself to process, as I have always tried to man up and shut up. I have had too many loved ones delete themselves, and I just lost my father to cancer, who went by MAID medical assistance in dying, as he was literally suffocating to death with COPD and Stage IV lung cancer.... F@ck it, time to get some mental health help, before I end up adding myself onto the pyre. Thanks for the awesome content, and your push for people to address their mental health and seek help. This trilogy is immensely powerful in its ability to elicit an emotional response and hits like a freight train. Damn, this trilogy and your reactions to them will end up saving lives, and that is something else entirely...

Lorna Shore singlehandedly proved what deathcore can be, and what emotional strings band can pull without sacrificing their sound. It sounds so cheesy and over the top, but this album is breathtaking. It really is. They deserve every bit of credit they have coming to them, and I hope they can show the new generation of extreme metal bands that you can include authentic emotion in your songs without "selling out," going soft, or including clean vocals. As long as it's authentic and not an act or gimmick, it's going to win fans over. LS has been my favorite band since I heard the whole Nothingness EP and they haven't moved from that spot since. It's going to take a lot for them to lose that title for me, because I don't know how many bands can pull off something like this so seamlessly

I had no idea who Lorna Shore was until the 14th when that reaction popped up, and now I am obsessed. The art direction of the videos, the orchestration, guitar, drums, lyrics and vocals are all amazing. Will has very good enunciation for the genre, which brings me to my only criticism. They need to get the lyrics in the closed captioning because they're too good to miss out on.

What a journey, man. You pretty much touched on everything I felt as per usual lol. I can’t give this album enough credit for how profoundly impressive it is.
I won’t even touch on the vocal minority of haters not singing it’s praises because it’s honestly not worth it, this is a time to celebrate. This album has and will continue to shape the direction of deathcore from here on out.
And can we just talk about how epic everyone is on this album? Will’s obviously a good reason this album excels, but Adam’s writing, leads, solos and contribution to the trilogy, Andrew’s orchestration, Austin’s absolutely insane drumming, obviously bass goes unappreciated but it’s clear Michael has contributed a ton to the weight of the album, not to mention him filling in for Austin while he addresses his herniated disc in his back, this band has nowhere to go but up. It’s a great time to be alive, being able to witness such an incredible piece of music for us all to share.
Finally, man, this trilogy is special. I’ve only ever cried during one song, and it was Aftermath by The Ghost Inside, because that song was them overcoming a near fatal bus crash, and that song had so much emotion to it, I couldn’t contain myself.
This trilogy has overshadowed it in ways I didn’t expect. A deathcore band somehow locked in such a real, visceral concept, and executed it with surgical precision. Adam Welch’s acting, Andrew’s orchestration gets credit again for adding that much more weight, it just all became a perfect storm that tugs at me every time I watch it, even more so as I’ve watched reactions to it, especially yours.
Thank you again for tackling these and expressing yourself man. I’m so sad I missed your album stream, if by any chance you can get it up on twitch I’d love to see it, the album as a whole has so many powerful swings of the hammer, I just can’t get enough lol ❤️

Even some of my absolute favorite records have songs that are either forgettable, or ones that I tend to skip passed or tune out. But this record... My GOD. I listened to it front to back TWICE on a flight from Toronto to Las Vegas the day after it was released. Every single song is phenomenal. And this trilogy? Yeah. Top three favorite songs of 2022. I won't lie, I sat in that plane seat and sobbed like a child for the last third of it. I adore the way they tied all three together at the end both with the tie-in of the melody from Pain Remains I and with the lyrics being the song titles from each of the three. The story of the record is about a person who early on realizes it is lucid dreaming. creates a world - thinks it is the god of the world(Icarus, I am the one etc.) and later realizes that they are alone in the world resulting in them wanting to tear it down.

Every time a new Lorna Shore song drops, I say that is my favorite song by them. But I lie. THIS song is my favorite, by far. I love the gorgeous symphonic music and the choir and the absolutely heart wrenching lyrics.

Looks like the actor's name is Peter Welch, excellent job, by him and all concerned. Let me just say that, on a personal level, I think life is always worth living and yes, if you have kids, relatives or even a dog or a cat, stick around for their sake. I'm sure that his wife would have wanted it that way too. Brilliant song/trilogy. Cheers Tank.

Big statement here but... album of the decade for me (or the last 10 years). I cant think of a single album that's had such a profound impact emotionally and sucked me, and everyone else, into. This trilogy is an absolute masterpiece. I have those 3 songs on repeat nearly every day. I dunno how they're gunna top it on their next album but I CANNOT wait

One awesome thing I learned from when Will was talking to Nik Nocturnal about this song was that the last 3 lines of the lyrics for this song are a single line from each of the trilogy to tie it all together. That is a masterclass level of storytelling to think about that and bring the story full circle, just like you noticed how they brought back the Pain Remains I melody. There's so much cohesion on this album it's incredible.

My wife and I are getting on in years (mid 50s). This theme is very real for us. We now have fewer years left together than we have had. We constantly joke (morbidly) that the other must die first, because the loss may be more than either of us can bear, and neither of us wish for the other to be left in that much pain. This entire trilogy hit like a fucking sledgehammer.

I've listened to this daily since they released the album, only bc its the only thing that i feel fully represents what I felt and went through. Lorna Shore deserves the world, so glad they found Will Ramos bc he was definitely the missing piece of the puzzle.

The whole album is so good. But these three songs are what happens when the right group of people get together at the right time and magic happens. No other way to describe it. That ending is so fucking epic. The way the end calls back on the beginning, the visuals, just everything. This feels like we're all experiencing a genuine memorable moment that's raising the bar for the genre and just metal as a whole.
