I'm very surprised by the use of piano and harp in the same time as solists! But it's very original and this concertino worths to be better known. Thanks for sharing!

The combination of the piano and the harp is very unique and should be used more!

I have longed to hear something of his since Berlioz mentions him in his wonderful Memoirs as being the "Liszt of the harp" This gives a flavor of what he must have played like-as well as being a fine piece of mid-nineteenth century romantic music-many thanks, as usual, for your post...

Another piece of neglected magical music - thank, you, KD. I'd also like to know who painted the astonishing picture that accompanies this piece.

It's called "Rockets and Blue Lights" by William Turner.

@@KuhlauDilfeng2 Turner's dramatic, proto-Impressionistic style of painting reflects so well the Sturm und Drang and other early Romantic music of his lifetime. His fellow Briton Parish-Alvars's music is absolutely beautiful.

Marvellous instrument combination and concerto. The composer deserves far more attention.
