John "Jafsie" Condon was a self-aggrandizing crackpot who submitted poetry to his local paper with the names J.U. Stice and P.A. Triot. Even Lindbergh didn't know what to think of him. His best moment was when he pushed down a bully detective who was accusing him of being involved, saying, "Keep your hands to yourself or arrest me!" When the cop told him he should call his family because he might be held at the station a while, Condon said, "They won't be worried. They know I can take care of myself." He was well-meaning...I think.
You won me over with your Billy Jack reference. When I play One Tin Soldier on guitar, it always makes me cry. I saw the Billy Jack movies as a young teen in the 70's. Those movies gave me a huge sense of right and wrong, a social justice heart.
So you're probably going to see a lot of comments from me on this one. Charles Lindbergh was an asshole he had no right to do that to his baby. I understand the mom was a little afraid of Lindbergh, come on these days we just take our child and leave back then you couldn't do that and in a lot of cases women were trapped and abusive miserable marriages😢
Anne Lindbergh was part of a power couple. A divorce would have shattered the myth of a perfect marriage. Anne was intelligent, wealthy and well-educated. Although Lindbergh was controlling and dismissive to her, she was steadfastly loyal to him, From a prominent, supportive family, Anne supported Lindbergh supported Lindbergh during his isolationist periods despite the opposition of her friends and relatives. He was hated the press even before the kidnapping.
The more I read about Anne Spencer Morrow Lindbergh the sicker I get. How could she stand by and watch that lanky nerd mistreat her baby? Her father was rich. She should have taken herself and her baby to her dad's house and stayed, filing for divorce. I know that divorce was looked down upon in those days but this called for it. She was spineless, with all her education, accomplishments....she was spineless and chose to stay under the demon Lindbergh's spell until he died.
Working as a bartender at an airport hotel across from Lambert Field and few blocks away from where the Colonel lived I view Charles A Lindbergh's picture everywhere near the bar standing next to his plane, The Spirit of St Louis. I live right off of the street that holds his name. He put our city on the universal map, but I do suspect that he was the main suspect in the "crime of the Century". It was Will Rodger who noted that Lindbergh took target practice knocking his son down. Lindbergh admired both Hitler and Margaret Sanger (founder of Plan Parenthood).
It's kind of funny in a sad way that Charles Jr. eventually caught on and plopped down as soon as he saw his father getting ready to toss a pillow at him. Sad when a baby senses that his father doesn't like him
Long John Baldry and Reg Dewight ( later to become Elton John)? " Dont lay no boggie woogie on the king of rock and roll"??. If you ever get to listen to this song, make sure you listen to the long version where Baldry gives the story for blocking traffic and causing choas.. P.S.= in regard to never letting anyone get under your skin..or " Never let 'em see ya sweat"! P.S. S.= the gold certificates were being phased out at that time, which is why the ransom was paid ONLY using Gold Certificates. The Feds thought they'd be easier to pick up on. My grandparents told me a LOT about this event. They were born in 1898 and 1900 respectively and one thing people should remember when viewing history from the 1930's with 2023 eyeglasses on. Some things that sound odd by todays standards and vice versa. You had mentioned about the child being safety pinned into his bed. This was quite normal to keep the child from rolling around and potentially dying. At the time of this "kidnapping", Lindy was a god in America. Hitler was just installed as President and had made his pitch for the holocaust. Yes, Lindburgh was tight with the whole "Super Race" so, who knows?
Very cool! I wish more people knew about LJB. It was terrible that in that Elton John biopic he led the audience to believe that the name "John" was inspired by John Lennon. Why couldn't Elton throw some positive light into LJB's direction and give him a moment? We LJB fans know that is where Elton got the "John" from.
Barn storming wasn't flying over barns. They would open the doors at each end of a barn and the plane would fly through the barn. Often, there were only a few feet or even inches to spare. It was extremely dangerous and many daredevil pilots were killed trying it.
tes, they should have had oxygen but I don't think that was an option at that time. the metal thumbguards were to prevent the baby from sucking his thumbs. My grandfather and his brothers worked for the Alexander Aviation company, which was briefly the largest aviation company in the world, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Lingbergh had ordered one of their planes, but the company was so busy they couldn't fullfill Lindbergh's order as quickly as he needed, so Lindbergh bought a plane from another company. They did some barnstorming themselves and their airplance, an Alexander Eaglerock, was found in a barn in Colorado and restored and is now at Wings Over the Rockies. My grandfather developed a technique for covering the old timber and cloth planes with metal and people were contacting my grandmother after his death in 1956 to get the plans.
Maybe Charles Lindbergh through his baby out the window and the ladder was set up to look like it broke when the kidnapper was leaving and there was a guy down there waiting fish maybe and took the baby Lindbergh hated his child it's not to far-fetched to think he might have just threw him out the window😮
I am a mother of three and a grandmother of eight so yeah if I went in and one of my children or grandchildren were missing from their crib and I found a ransom note I would read it immediately and I would freaking die of a heart attack because my children my grandchildren are my life Lindbergh didn't care he was a narcissistic butthead. would your life just shatter into a million pieces at that moment😢😢😢
My first husband was a JR and when I had my son they want me to name him after the grandpa and the dad which he would have been the third and I'm like I don't think so everybody calls you JR I'll be damned if they're going to call my child Chip😅 because you see when a parent is name say Charles Lindbergh than he has Charles Lindbergh Jr and then Jr has a child and names it Charles Lindbergh III so now you got everybody calling him chip because he's a chip box the old block and that was not going to happen to my child. The third give me a break
Why would a skilled carpenter want to make a good ladder? Wouldn't you want to make a bad ladder to show that he was not the one who constructed it and was part of the kidnapping? Hauptmann making a good ladder would point to him or a good Carpenter.
Well the suspicious part to me is how would you know by looking at the envelope it was a ransom note? Blinking neon light that was Blinking the words RANSOM. Things in life that make you go hummmmm
Unsolved? Don't you mean wrong person comvicted. For those who have not done some research, and possibly believe yhat Hauptman was giilty , it is solved.
Hauptman unfortunately has joined Lee Harvey Oswald in the Fall Guy Hall of Fame.😢😢😢😔😔So incredibly sad and tragic. May they both Rest in peace knowing that there are those that believe in their innocence. ✝️🙏💯👍
Yeah, it sure seems that way. He was an unusual guy, and kind of a nasty person, and this is the sort of thing that perhaps was right up his alley, unfortunately.
Back in the old days they used to say 19 and 2 or 19 and 3 our language has gotten lazy. It drives me crazy when people call Kentucky fried Chicken KFC it makes me crazy or when they say let's go play mini golf it's miniature golf why do you got to be so lazy about talking😅😅😅 I'm sorry I'm just an asshole
So remember when you said he put the baby was put in a sack? They had chloroform back in the '30s right? So could they have used chloroform on the baby? I mean the baby was asleep so someone could have put that over his nose for a minute to make sure he would be asleep, then put him in a sack and went down the ladder? That way they wouldn't have been fighting a thrashing child. It could have happened like that right?
I have ten children. I adopted 6, gave birth to 4. I guess I'm just a gal that cant say no.😅😅. Of course, They are all grown and duplicating..and 2 of my children have adopted children as well. One of my children is a Down Syndrome person.
At 15000 ft the air is thinner, and because of that you breathe about 45% less oxygen in per breath you take. So it is pretty near half the oxygen you normally get. If she didn't have any extra oxygen with her, it can't have been good for a pregnant woman.
Isn't a ton like 2400 lb I mean we used to buy our hay by the ton and it's like 24 2500 lb so two tons would be like 5,000 lb so it would have been about 6500 lb now I don't know if that's light or heavy I have no idea but seems quite small to me😅😅😅
I was so intrigued by the suspicion that Lindbergh killed/had his baby killed and I stumbled on this. I'm so annoyed that AN HOUR into this you gave 10 minutes of info and the rest was dumb. Talking to hear yourself talk. Sorry but dude, shush
I don't think Michael Jackson did anything I think it was all lies The guy like you said was famous from the time he was 8 years old he never had a childhood he didn't get to go to Disneyland like all y'all get to do once in awhile he didn't get to go out and ride his bike or roller skate down the road or freaking skateboard he did not have that type of a childhood. He was raised by an abusive monster of a man and the mom let it happen so all those things he missed out on as a young child he wanted to capture as a adult he never grew up in my heart breaks for him
The most incredible aspect of this whole mess was a professional madman named Jafsie that injected himself into it & then tried to run the whole show.

Lindbergh fake kidnapped his son to see what his wife would do a few weeks before the supposed real kidnapping.....that's incredibly horrific...

Yep. Charles had some issues and probably should have been arrested. It seems obvious that he was part of it.
It's kind of funny in a sad way that Charles Jr. eventually caught on and plopped down as soon as he saw his father getting ready to toss a pillow at him. Sad when a baby senses that his father doesn't like him

@@StrangeHistoryX- They were both in the same band back in the day.
Barn storming wasn't flying over barns.

From what I understand, we say "oh" when reading a zero in a date because it's how we shorten the word "zero."

I totally agree with you. Lindbergh was EVIL.

Can't remember the treasure in that song but did you see the movie with Billy Jack That was an amazing movie One tin soldier
Billy Jack was a great movie.👍💯
Billy Jack was a great movie. I love the theme song. 💯👍
It was a rock that had "Peace on Earth" on it.

You would have a hard time finding the Highfields house today let alone in 1932 no street lights and tucked away in the woods.

When I was a kid, I watched the movie about it. I didn't believe that Bruno was guilty
I listened to your first live on this.. it’s very interesting.. I believe you are mostly right.. Lindbergh was involved..

I always thought he hung out with kids because he felt like one.
Nag! Lindbergh was NOT involved. Ridiculous. More Conspiracy Crap to get video likes.
There is quite a lot of information that he did. A retired judge wrote a book about it. He was weird and cruel.
