I feel opposite about the felt hangers, as a lady most of my tops and dresses have wider necks or tiny straps and the felt hangers are sooo much better to prevent slipping off. Maybe offer both?
This list seems to be curated for male guests and not female. For example: I would not book or rent a house with a shower head like in this picture! Women only like rain showers if you can switch to a normal additional shower head that can be placed lower or one that can move down! It's a nightmare if you have to wet your hair with every shower you take.
I have two bedside lamps on the night stands. They are both controlled by a on/off wall switch. In addition, I put an in-line dimmer on each lamp. They can turn each lamp off and dim to desired brightness. Guests always tell me how much they like these extras. They expect the basics, but the extras is what makes them leave the 5-star review. And while I am at it, dimmers on ALL lights in the condo. Nothing more that I hate is a VRBO with no dimmers! And high quality LED's that are warm color temperature and all the same color temp. Most places ignore this, which give you uneven and uncomfortable lighting. Guests may not notice this feature, but they will know the place looks great. Excellent video with good info too!
thx for the video. Flocked hangers. At my home I have them with 0 issues hanging shirts. But I put the hanger through the neck area not try to pull the hanger from bottom of shirt. May give that a try. We have plastic hangers in our STR. Totally agree about keys! We stayed at a place recently with keys and it was so annoying plus felt less secure since I don't know who there previous guests were or what they might do. It is too easy to reproduce anyone's keys. Ridiculous to still have keys. For the digital lock we use a Schlage Encode which is great! 3 years no issues. We can set the timing of every codes use. change the codes from my phone. Every guest gets their own cde. Give a cleaner a timed code too. We do set up 3 *burner* codes for emergency like if wifi goes down at the minute someone needs a new code. thx again!
Induction range is a winner. Most guests don't have them in their own homes and are thrilled to use one on vacation. I've had a few guests tell me they are going to buy one after using mine! Totally a 5-star review for that!!

The American Medical Association has never listed induction cooktops as a risk to those with pacemakers, despite listing many other everyday devices that can interfere. The magnetic wave of an induction stove only extends about an inch off the surface when not covered in a pot or pan."
I used to travel myself with a white noise machine but now there's apps for it so as long as your phone is plugged in next to the bed, no extra machine needed. I don't know how to effectively communicate this to guests though!
I was debating getting a nice blue tooth speaker. Now I will definitely get them. ( I am afraid of them disappearing, though). I will also make the switch to larger shower head.
I've converted all my units over to Alexas. They're like iPhones when stolen - they become bricks - thus reducing the risk of being taken. Alexa's offer "multi-room music", "white noise machines", self-adjusting clocks, and hold "Bluetooth" functionality. Cleaners like to walk around homes with continuous tunes too. Guest unplug them if they don't like them
I use the Schlage Encore WiFi deadbolt. Super easy to install, each cleaner, co-host, exterminator, Culigan man, etc has their own specific code, SET BY ME. I get notifications each time the deadbolt is opened, or even touched (has a tamper mode.) In fact, the house is very “air tight” meaning, even when someone opens the BACK door, the pressure moves the front door slightly and I get notifications, essentially having “door monitoring” on BOTH doors, emergency battery backup. I would highly recommended!!! Ps. And I live 1,900 miles away from my air bnb.
number one complaint anywhere I go is an uncomfortable BED! Why do people think we like to sleep on firm beds? I am a side sleeper and cannot sleep on a firm bed.
If there's an amenity that you know that guests love, put it down in the comments ⬇

great point!
I agree
I usually slide the hangar through the neck not the bottom of the shirt, never had an issue with cloth hangar.
I don't want bacon neck
@@OptimizeMyAirbnb lol, I had to google that, never heard that term before.
Fan.
So many travelers have told us they are thankful for the fan we provide. Many people like a fan just because of the white noise it provides.
Great tip!

Great point! Is there other amenity that you think might favor the male guests?
Rain coats or umbrella….highly appreciated
Great idea!
And then they will be upset you didn't provide rain boots !

Seems like we have a seasoned host right here! Keep up the good hosting!

Thanks for the value comment! But putting hangers through the neck gives you bacon neck..
Luggage rack even if you have drawers or hanging space. They are not expensive and I always use one when traveling so I have several in my STR.
Yes! Good
I think that the induction stove and an electric oven, all these do not heat the house and help the guest experience a lot.

I avoid Induction hobs as they shouldn’t be used by guests with diabetes pumps or heart pacemakers.

I think that’s a more of a remodelation than easy to install amenities but good idea !
Larger sized coffee mugs! White noise machine.
Absolutely!

You could install a sound system, that’s not getting lost. Or just get a model that if gets lost it wouldn’t hurt too much

Umbrellas, clocks with white noise, check in snacks, sunscreen/bug spray
🙌🏻🎯
For me, the purpose of the cloth hangers is that the clothes don't slide off of them easily and end up un the floor.
Valid, not my preference though

Oh wow! Will look into that
Night stand power block with usb and usbc port's .Noise machine
I’ll have to use one of those to judge for myself 😂
Pura life!
A water purification system is definitely a surprise and delight feature
Those shorts fit just right
😂😂
As others have stated: fans and larger coffee mugs
Absolutely!

I feel you, hosts can provide certain pillows to help with that, not ideal though
I buy highly rated 20k-reviewed mattresses. But, personally, I love me...a firm mattress...
$125 for an amenities checklist. Not happening.
Well, you get this video for free!
