      Awesome! Thanks for watching and really happy to hear that you could apply the stuff taught to your own project. Once you jump into patreon - please share some views of your project on our discord server - the community would love to see it :)

    I actually prefer this pace of teaching for UE5, you do a great job of explaining why you are making the choices you are making and extremely quickly. More stimulating for my brain. Lol. Thanks for the tut and keep making stuff like this please!!!

      @@DesignGoBrr The lighting and shadows are also a lot better. The light on the ground looks like it would be shining through the branches. Leaving some hightlights on the grass. The Shadows on the trees itself are also really good in the top image. Gives the image way more depth
      ALSO GODRAYS

    Great video; please can you give a roadmap as to how you were able to get to this level proficiency using unreal engine?.

    • @DesignGoBrr
      @DesignGoBrr  8 месяцев назад +3

      Sure. 2020 spring - first installed UE4 , 2020 autumn - completed first project , 2020 late autumn - held first course (students had to replicate the project I've made) , 2021 - 2022 spring - made 3 different projects trying out different things (made 3 different beginner courses about it in the process) , 2022 spring - , optimized/revisited the course from 2020 made it into an intermediate level course. 2022 summer - started learning archviz techniques in UE5 , 2022-2023 - did 8 different archviz projects , 2023 spring - released first archviz course . Learning through doing the projects and then digging deep enough to be able to teach is the best way for me to learn.

    Hello! I have seen that you have removed a tutorial on how to double performance in VR with nvidia AI tools, which I had left ready to do, it would be of great help to me, will you upload it again? do you have it on patreon? thank you so much!

      Seems like the newest NVIDIA DLSS doesn't play well with UE5, so I'm waiting for the bugs to be fixed before re-uploading the video :)

      Awesome! also, you seem very skilled in UE troubleshooting. we have an Omni Pro treadmill along with Valve Index that supposedly work with UE but I cannot for the love of god get the thing to work. it keeps crashing when I initiate VR. do you know of any resource to assist in the troubleshooting? the mfgr does not offer support for the SDK. Do you offer contract services to assist in something like this?

    Thanks for the tut. Unfortunately that PCG 'Trace complex' check mark does nothing to me - the points still don't show. Any ideas why?

    • @DesignGoBrr
      @DesignGoBrr  8 месяцев назад

      Try changing the collision complexity of that particular static mesh from "project default" to "use complex as simple"

    As I see it, of course it can be worth it if you going to monetize it. Anyway, what you didn't say, or at least I didn't hear you saying, is that PCG workflow it is also reusable, so you spend 32 hours learning as you did, and then you create your logic. After that you can reuse that logic for every project. also it is pretty easy to change meshes using the same logic, isn't it? So it is not always going to be 2 hours in the making, that is the first time, as far as I know, then you spend 20 mins changing assest in other project. With dash is 1 hour every project. IMHO

    • @DesignGoBrr
      @DesignGoBrr  8 месяцев назад +1

      That is true - PCG is reusable. But 32 hours is 32 hours.. Perhaps when it (PCG) will have better documentation, the learning curve will be better, but as it is - I cannot recommend it to an architect, as those 32 hours would be better spent elsewhere. Also one more point - currently the troubleshooting in PCG is brutal, so it's 10-15mins to adapt it to a new project OR it's a 3 hour journey figuring out why do certain areas are miss-behaving. You're basically rolling the dice with every project. Hmm as I write this - I'm putting in a mental note to revisit the PCG workflow in a year - I'm sure it'll be much cleaner and a much better deal for all non-technical environment artists.

      @@DesignGoBrr You are right.
      I am an architect, but I have learning 3d tech as a hobby, I always try to be with the state of the art as I have been for the last 28 years. So, I am not the usual cup of tea, maybe that's why I see it as I see it.

    I see Dash has huge potential, but after trying to use it in my projects, I realised it's still a very buggy beta product. The Dash team should focus on making the current tools more stable and reliable first. I will probably cancel my subscription for a while because I spend more time troubleshooting on discord than working on my projects... But kudos to them for being very responsive on Discord.

    • @DesignGoBrr
      @DesignGoBrr  7 месяцев назад +1

      I think that's the best way - try out the product for 1 month, list the things that you want to be fixed in discord, cancel the subscription (but stay in the discord) until those things are fixed. Puts good type of pressure on the developer to focus on most important issues.
