What's funny is I was looking at "Lego pirates stop motion" on search yesterday after I posted my video to see what other types of videos were out there, and as I was scrolling I came across your full length pirates film and added to my watch later, I saw from the preview you were using classic pirates stuff too and when I have time next week I will watch it. Can't imagine how much work that must've gone into it, longest stop motion I've ever done is on my other star wars channel and was just shy of 7 minutes. As for those early lego 2010 videos, I used to watch those and I loved the classic simple aesthetic and the simplicity also of the videos, which I tried to replicate here, including most of the parts in the video. I plan to do more story formatted things as well, but there's a special place in my nostalgia for basic battle videos like this. Thanks very much for your comment and I'll tell you what I think of your film when I've seen it.
I get them almost all from youtube. So I'll search for example "musket sound effects" or "cannon sound effects". If I can't find anything on YT I'll sometimes search google in general - hope that helps
Thank you very much once again! I'm really happy you found it enjoyable, I worked really hard on these films and made them as best as I could, deleting and re-doing shots I found to be subpar. That added a lot more time to the project, but the result is something I'm very proud of creating. More films on the way!
Thanks so much for the comment! Yeah it took quite a while, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. This has always been my favourite era and so I'm glad to have made a worthy entry into that sphere. I have a redcoat/bluecoat siege battle I'm currently working on, hoping for a late July release but we'll see, they usually take longer than expected.
I just started making my own blue cost army from scratch already have 8 regular soldiers 3 different commanders and 1 or 2 coming in future brickling orders
Thanks so much, I love your videos, means a lot. I was almost done all the combat scenes and tired of filming but then I thought it would be really cool if I added the surrender scene and I'm really happy with how it turned out, especially the feather quill writing portion. I really appreciate it!
great work! amazing animation, good editing, good sound design, and over all a fantastic video and a pleasure to watch! thanks for the amazing content! and keep up the good work!
Hi thanks for the support, I'm glad you like it. As for the music, some stop motions are better than others with music, will add some in some future projects though for sure.
@@KnightProductions14 I bought lots of them a few years ago before they got super expensive but still a little bit. I have more of the blue guys than I do red and also more of the full blue guys with the shoulders, backpacks etc than I do of the red, so to fix this I just bought some redcoat torsos and took off the bluecoat accesseries to make it fair
@@KnightProductions14 Yeah I really wish I got more when they were cheaper, and the vintage sets go for so much money now. Still, I pick the odd one up every now and then for the right price
Thanks, it hasn't quite been a year but almost. Will post far more often now. I bought a few more soldiers for this yes, but mainly I used ones I already had and then took off the backpacks and epaulettes to make it more balanced as I have more full bluecoats than I do redcoats, so I got redcoat torsos and I had lots of the tricorne hats so it worked out
I love the classic feeling of stop motion and it's rally smooth!
Thanks I really appreciate it, I really tried to give it that smooth, classic feel so I'm glad you liked it!
this is the 2 best lego pirate vid i have ever seen
Hey thanks so much for the comment, I really appreciate it! I'm glad you liked them!
Thanks for commenting on our stop motion channel! Amazing stop motion! Good job!
No problem keep up the great work! And thank you for stopping by here!
Thank you for using the classic vintage designs, it reminded me a lot of my childhood, watching Lego animations on RUclips in the early 2010’s
