- Lego Pirates stop motion battle between the French Bluecoats and the British Redcoats and their tropical island fort under siege. This is a continuation of the war between the two factions over control of the Caribbean islands.
A huge thank you and credit goes to @StanleyQBrick for helping me improve the condition of a lot of the footage. Please check out his channel to see his amazing film projects!

Fantastic great unspeakablely good 👍👍👍👍👍🤌🏻 masterpiece good job 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿👊🏻
Well thank you so much for all the nice comments, I really appreciate it, I worked very hard on this one so I'm glad you liked it! More on the way!
Love this, thank you so much for doing this with the classic vintage minifigures
Thank you, I love the retro figures the most, they are so fun to do videos with. I also used mainly vintage parts too to really give it a vintage feel and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out
One day I wish I will have a old Lego pirates collection as good as yours 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
It’s always fun to come back and watch these films again! :)
Thank you, I really appreciate it, more are on the way, a lot goes into these as you know. I'm glad that you think they're good enough to come back to!
What I appreciate with these videos is how much effort goes into them.
I've tried stop motion before, and it is a length and tedious task.
One minute alone can take you a minute or two. A whole scene, much longer.
Great work here.
Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it. Yes a lot of effort goes into the making of these videos, lots of tedious movement and frustrating things that can mess up shots and waste time. And then there's all the other stuff like trying to keep continuity correct etc. It took a ton of work, but I'm very pleased with how this one turned out, thank you for your comment!
I love and enjoy your videos 😄😄😄😄
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
Bye for now in till next video peace ✌🏻

Great video, it’s nice to see a new one. I wouldn’t have seen it if you didn’t make that community. That sword fight was epic!
Yeah someone has a bad cough lol. Thanks for the comment, glad you were able to see the stop motion, and glad you liked the sword fight. I would've liked to have a little more sword combat but the filming of this thing was really dragging on and I wanted it out, but I'm still very happy with the finished outcome. Thanks for the comment
I love how you bring pirate battles to life with Lego
Nice video!
Thank you! It took longer than expected but I am happy it is out now!
Nooo the redcoats lost 😞
As someone who prefers the redcoats, it was hard for me to film this outcome believe me, but I had to for this one, in the future we shall see what happens 😉
Comeback season
Yess the bluecoats won 😀
I’m happy that the blue coats won because they lost 2 times
This is amazing! Nostalgic and well animated! You earned a subscriber
Thank you so much for the comment and sub! I really appreciate that, as I really tried to make this nostalgic and run smooth. Glad that you liked it!
So cool! 🙂
Thanks so much!
Oh yes this is what we need for entertainment ❤
Thank you!
Amazing stop motion!! I see the bluecoats had a victory!!! We have been waiting for this for a while!!! Really liked the sword fighting you did!! Keep up the good work!!!
Thank you! Yes, I had to give the bluecoats a victory! Thank you for the comment on the sword fighting, it was quite tedious to film but I'm very happy with how it turned out in the end. It didn't help that I filmed it on an older baseplate that didn't give the figures much traction so it was kind of hard to do, but I got through it and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. More films on the way!
It was hard to do the sword fighting in the stop motion series we did on our channel. It is called "The Edge of the Sword," but we like how it came out 😊😊
@@windowcatproductions I'll be sure to check it out, I always look for inspiration when it comes to difficult animation such as sword fighting
@@FrightBricks We have to!! Can't wait for your next video!!!
Dude, this was incredible! I love the set design, and the sound effects are spot on! Great work!
Thank you so much! A lot of work went into this one, I tried to get it out way sooner but it was stuck in development for quite a while. It feels great to finally have it released, and it ended up being longer than initially planned so I'm very happy with the final result.
It was so worth the wait!
We're did you get the sound affects from?
@@Roberto0_vr I got them from several places, but almost all of them are from youtube. So for musket sound I just search "musket sound effect" or "cannon sound effect" etc for whatever it is that I need. Some of the sounds are multiple sounds edited together like when the cannon hits a wall, thats several sounds mixed into one in the editor to make for a bigger more realistic sound. But yeah almost everything from youtube, if youtube doesn't have what I'll need I'll sometimes check random sound sites but that's about it
@@FrightBricks thank you so much 🙏 now I can make stop motion again
Omg
I’m praying you’ll never stop 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Me T pray 🙏
Animation is cool, but I had a really hard time figuring a geography of this place. Some wide shots to announce where is what could fix it. Or maybe even something like a drone you know, shot from the sky. Like maybe make a miniature version of this fort and opposing army, just to let us know where is everyone
Geography of who in particular though? I do wide shots of both sides. The bluecoats have artillery in the back centre, line infantry to the right (also attacking the right side of the fort, facing the fort), and light infantry skirmishing in the forest to the left, which characters or units did you have the most trouble with for future reference? I usually try and make the geography clear because it bugs me too when it is not clear so I am very curious to see where I can improve in that aspect. Thanks
Omg 🙀🙀🙀🙀sooooooo good 👍
Chefs kiss 😘
I love these nostalgic old style stop motions with simple classic figures and builds
Thank you so much, I really like this aesthetic as well and I'm really glad with how it turned out
Try making a colourbearer, drummer or a fifer to add more detail (for line battles) and an optional thing is to make infantry fix holes in line formations, examples could be “big line formation, man is shot in first rank and falls over creating a gap, soldiers remake the line to fix the hole so they aren’t as vulnerable” but that could be hard so I’m fine if you dont
Hi, thanks for your suggestions. I do have a bluecoat colourbearer in this film, but because of the weight of the physical lego flag piece, it is hard to animate them walking with it, so I have them by the General instead. I may add them in the line in future if I can have them "walking" out of shot and then the next shot just be with the line. Not sure. As for drummer, fifer, etc, good point, I need some musicians for sure. The fixing the gap in the ranks thing is quite hard as the minifigure usually falls directly where the next guy would need to be standing, and making that takeover look good in animation can be tricky, but something I will try to do in future if I can make it work. Thanks for all your suggestions.
Cool vid
Thank you!
you should do voices for som guys on your next one so we know what there thinking but other then that i loved it the way it looked and was set up looked great along with the short story
Voices are a possibility in future, thanks for the comment!
Ngl, the Redcoats should've won easy, all they needed was suppressive fire on the enemy, with Peopls with Sabres actually at the front Gate. The Fort Commander could've easily taken down 2-3 enemies as well. They could've all lived and escaped aswell by using the ladders to bring wounded out of the Field through the back
Yeah you're right. I was torn between making the redcoats and the bluecoats win, but I let the redcoats win the past 2 and so I wanted a bluecoat victory (I'm biased towards the Redcoats). Besides, the project was taking a long time and by time I got to filming the interior fighting scenes I just sort of wanted the project to be completed so a bluecoat victory was finalized. If/when I do another siege battle stop motion I may do it quite differently and have way more casualties on the attacker's side, even if they end up winning. Thank you for your comment!
@FrightBricks Nice, I agree I also favour the Redcoats and I have a much bigger Redcoat collection than a Bluecoat collection for that reason 😂
Good Video I can't lie I've watched all of your videos like 3-4 times now they're so good
@@RoyalBricks97 Thank you, I really appreciate you watching my videos. I work really hard on them, and if shots are deemed 'imperfect' I scrap them, sometimes even if I have been filming one shot for over an hour and I bump the camera, or move a weapon on the ground by accident, I will scrap the shot and try again. I was having weird light flicker near the end of this one so it took even longer to film the end scenes, which was another reason that I wanted to just finish this project. I have more ideas on the way but right now it will be Halloween releases.
19 /34 👍
Yay the French finally won, good job frenchies 👍🏻 and also good job on this video😃
Thank you, I am glad you liked the video! The French fought hard to take the fort and took high losses, but they won in the end!
@@FrightBricksjust like the one hundred year wars😮
Cool 😎
I have slightly different minifigures.
Nice. Yes these are more colonial era but I have can configure lots of them to be napoleonic as well.
How did you collect all the older Lego
Mainly bricklink. Sometimes I just buy torsos because they're cheaper and slowly build up figs instead of buying complete figures, but I do both
What are the torsos on the soldiers called? They look awesome!
@@LoganMotion They are called "imperial soldier" torso on bricklink, sometimes "vintage bluecoat" on other sites. There are newer versions than these, made in 2015 and 2023. These are from the 1980s pirates sets.
And the muskets where can I find the muskets
Bricklink is usually the best place
Will you do Lego review. If so do 10305 . Please reply me back
I remember plaiyng with the old castle and pirates sets
Love it
Thank you so much!
@@FrightBricks no problem I plan on making my own stop motions because you are inspirational
Fantastic - love the classic feel of the set design and minifigures. Great work! Happy I could help you finalize it!
Could not have been done with out you. Thank you so much for your efforts in putting together this video.
Amazing
Thank you so much!
Cool
Thank you!
Great stop motion love the minifigures wish I had them
Thank you! You can get figures for better prices on bricklink usually.
The creativity here is off the charts, literally.
Thanks so much for your comment, I really appreciate it!
so underrated!!!!!! fantastic
Thank you so much!!
How do you get these
The figures?
Yes how did you get so many classic Lego pirate figures
@@DeutschlandGuy13 Mainly bricklink and ebay
