Any child prodigy can play a technically sound musical piece. But this kid, George displays very keen sentiment and and rich emotions as well! I'm no expert, but if I were just listening to this Concerto and not watching, I'd swear this was an accomplished adult playing it.

I bet I've listened to this concerto 1000 times, and this KID is showing me things I never knew were there! Plus, IMHO it's the badge of courage to drop a note in that impossible C Major cadenza at the beginning. So many play it "safe," but George played it "exciting."

Ole Nielson I had a student like that a few years ago. He had many dreadful habits and an undeveloped technique and his playing was messy.. but it was too late.. he wouldn't really listen to me. I could do nothing. The mould was already set. George on the other hand HAS listened to his teachers and applied himself brilliantly!!

In addition to that, his current world touring videos show his adult light and pleasant personality, humbleness and incomparable British humor. I have no doubts that George and Alma will become musical icons of this century.
