This is a quick introduction to metal stamping/impressing in case it's something that people may want to try. I think the style of this goes well with leather and has potential uses in lots of different projects.

Liver of sulfur would be a nice alternative to the sharpie. It would put a nice patina on the rest of the metal as well as outlining the stamps.
Whyzbros1222 yep as far as I know it does a good finish I haven't tried it as I don't want to stink the house out with it! I mentioned it in there though so people are welcome to try it if they want to.

Enjoying your vids. Back in my toolmaking days we used sealing wax to highlight the stamped text, a nicer finish i found.

Very cool. This would work for dog collars. I am doing one for a friend and was thinking about attaching a dog tag. Just need the metal stamps now.
Just a quick tip. Use a little rubbing alcohol on a cloth to remove the excess ink before polishing. Saves your polishing cloths and no need for as much rubbing.
