But question, I used Wholesale batch calculator when am working out my Ingredients (testing a 4oz size) do I add those additives as well or is there another batch calculator you use and can recommend? Yess!! You are definitely on the right track! Based on the calculator you are using you would take out 5% of the oil you use and add 5% of the IPM. Does the calculator you use state percentage of each ingredient?
Whole Sales Suppliers Plus has a great calculator. You type in all ingredients and what percentage you want for each. It will generate how much is need for oz or grams. Here’s the link: www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/calculators/batch_size_calculator.aspx
I’m sorry to be a bother but I’m a little confused. So I’m using 2% arrowroot, 5% IPM and 10% stearic acid. Then how much % for the butters? Am I using Shea, cocoa and beeswax?
No bother at all!! 🤗This would be the full formation. If you are adding in fragrance take up to 5% from the coconut oil depending on the fragrance. Shea Butter 42% Cocoa Butter 10% Unfractionated coconut oil 25% Beeswax 5% Stearic acid 10% Arrowroot powder 5% IPM 2% Vitamin E 1%
I tried the level 4 and thought it was great! I want to add justtttt a tad bit more of the greasiness just a little. Would I increase the Shea and take away some of the stearic acid? Also could I add mango butter and just make sure my percentages equal out? My formula also was heavy scented cocobutter, nutty smell lol. Loving this testing phase!
I'm glad you like it!! I would do just that. Add more shea and take from stearic acid. You can definitely use mango butter! I will bring back the oily feel your looking for!! Test is soooo fun!! I think it's kinda the best part lol 🥰

It's still a body butter. There's no water added so no preservative isn't needed.

😊🥰 Hey Luv!! You can definitely do that. You can keep you same formula, but add the arrowroot, IPM and stearic acid.
That’s the question I wanted to know also if I can still used cocoa butter and mango butter

I took always from the solid butters to add the stearic acid. Because it give the butter feel without the greasiness.
