I've searched high and low to find the Dawn of War II battle chatter dialogue, but cannot find it. The dialogue that plays from the battles such as the Guardsman's "For the regiment!" or "Brothers, return fire!". The reverb makes it sound so powerful and cool. I guess I'll never find them. :'(
Some of these quotes could work on friday night to score. Taking command, of her feeble will. Take me to the front, drive me to your house. Deploy tactical withdrawal of your string and war gear. Your deliverance before me putrid warp-spawn (in case she turns out to be a feminist).
Shut up! You probably haven't even played DoW III, so you wouldn't even know if it's good or bad. And his new armor is awesome. It shows that he is the indisputable Chapter Master of the Blood Ravens. It would only be more awesome had they turned him into a Venerable Dreadnought, like they did with Davian Thule.
@Lord Tomlluckrah the Great Mate, I don't need to even play it when I know it's shit. Multiple lore breaks in logic, including Gabriel backflipping in terminator armour no less, Guardsmen talking back to Space Marines in a backhanded manner, Eldar speaking like common humans, let's not forget the change in art style to resemble a Blizzard League of Legends mobile game, the gameplay doesn't have any of the interesting cover mechanics or intricacies of the previous two series games, the soundtrack is generic and uninspired and the most damaging is the change in the entire cast and crew from the last seven games have been completely replaced especially in the voice department by lesser voice actors. Taldeer sounding like an old hag Gorgutz now a Gretchin. You're commenting on a video defending Dawn of War 3 where we have Gabriel's superior and consistent voice by Paul Dobson. Tell me what's wrong with my logic in anything I've said?
I'm not saying any of that is wrong, but I think if you just played the game for 10 minutes you'd realise it's completely irrelevant. The only thing I completely agree on is that the voice acting in DoW III is miserable, but the rest is just superficial nonsense. And if those things matter so much, then why do you play any DoW game at all? Let's see, off the top of my head: The cutscenes in the first DoW are completely awful and they often break. Somehow you can give a Squad of Tactical Marines four heavy bolters as if they were Devastators. The Wraithguards look goofy as hell and you can field a billion Terminators and Land's Raiders at the same time as if they weren't extremely rare. Winter Assault reused Gorgutz' supposedly iconic model from the previous generic ork Warboss, as did Taldeer get the same model as Macha. Sturnn was foolish enough to fall into an eldar trap, which is extremely unrealistic, only for Taldeer to fool the Astra Militarum again later on. You can fit 3 squads of guardsmen in a single chimera in Dark Crusade and troops can shoot while stealthed (which kinda ruined the balance of the game) yet it's considered to be the best game in the series. Soulstorm is the most played and modded expansion for DoW 1, yet the Talos and Mandrakes look absolutely nothing like the figurines, Asdrubael Vect canonically dies, the Necron Lord of Kaurava III can speak fluently without lips or a soul, and all commanders use previous models and voice acting with mostly detrimental aesthetic changes. In DoW II, you command an incredible army of a total of three non-codex-compliant 3/4 men squads of which the officers are helmetless dudes who don't feel like using chainswords and bolt pistols. The story of this game is so forgettable I seriously don't even remember what happened in it, other that there were Tyranids in it and Thule dies at some point. Plus, the game is visually noisy and desaturated, and has a completely different artstyle that has nothing to do with the original or the minis, and most army painter features are gone. In Chaos Rising, somehow, this armies of 10 guys manages to completely destroy a Black Legion warband, Araghast the Pillager, a reborn Eliphas the Inheritor, a Space Hulk full of 'nids, an Eldar strike force, a few hundred thousand Orks, many ambushing traitor Guardsmen, a treasonous Avitus and they even have time to vade retro one of Nurgle's most powerful of demons. And don't even get me started on Retribution. Now go stand in front of a mirror and yell "you are being nitpicky and biased!". I have actually played the game and I can confirm that everything you said is stupid. The game is bad though, but it's not bad because it looks like a Blizzard game, or because Gabriel may have anti-gravity generators in his master-crafted terminator armor (which are a thing, but whatever). The game is bad because the campaign is boring and because the game is somewhat unbalanced. Is it not unplayable because of that, but it is definitely not as fun as the other two. The game does of course ignovate a lot over the original DoW 1, bringing things we haven't seen in either of the other games and refining many mechanics that worked well in the other two. Although there are only 3 races, each race is extremely fleshed out and replayable, which actually becomes a problem in the campaign, since you will be forced to play as all three races. The biggest grudge I have, in fact, with the campaign is that it forces you to play as the Eldar, at times, and the Eldar have a very pronounced playstyle which I simply do not enjoy at all. And obviously, the hero units are way too powerful, which makes managing an entire army somewhat pointless when a commander can erase it with a single ability. Of course, you wouldn't know anything about this since you haven't even played the game, so I'm basically speaking to a concrete wall here. You probably won't even read any of what I just said so I might as well stop being polite. The truth is that you probably haven't even played a single multiplayer game in either DoW 1 or 2; all you do is have skirmish battles against AI set to Normal in DoW SS whilst running the Unification Mod and you play as if it was a turret city managing tycoon, or a commander Boreal dress-up game. Don't complain about the models of DoW III looking like shit if you'd happily gobble up the reused 2010 garbage UA models mixed in with AI-upscaled DoW II models and more lens flares and particles than there are in a sandstorm in the middle of the Saharan desert, you dipshit! Now you are free to go. Disregard everything I said up to this point. Go post something about O'Shovah on Reddit and be happy that DoW is dead as a franchise because "DoW III was too shiny".
@Lord Tomlluckrah the Great Well, thanks for literally assuming I play the unification mod which is all I hear about from Dawn of War these days mostly but I've never even downloaded the mod or cared about it whatsoever and I have played multiplayer on Dawn of War 1 & 2 many times in fact, not too much now since I care more about the story and the setting a bit more than the gameplay, also with being busy on other things but I still have fun with my friends on it, particularly on Last Stand when we have time. I would have been happy with a combination of the mechanics of Dawn of War 1 & 2 but instead we got something completely different. The developers even said they didn't know what they were doing and most were newbies who didn't care either so you can accuse me of all sorts of things but I do love this series and want the best for it, even if you think I don't.
ah, yes. More bedtime music.

*Gabriel then proceeds to never use a gun ever again*
*waddle softly, and carry a big gun.
Seriously though it’s almost kind of cute how the astartes waddle, even the dreadnoughts do it
