I'm Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and RUclipsr who's been to 55 countries. I've been travelling around the world full-time since 2017. So far, my trips have taken me to Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
I have travel series' from many of the world's best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This trip marked the start of my efforts to make a RUclips full-time job.
After that European trip I went heavily into exploring Asia, visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan (seeing me cover a lot of Far East and Southeast Asia in particular).
I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Israel and Palestine.
To date, I have not yet been to Australasia or South America. Though I am hoping to visit the latter sometime in 2022, along with a first stop in the Caribbean.
I've travelled to North America just once as a RUclipsr, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was as a child on family holidays.
So far in 2022 I've taken my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting both Kenya and Tanzania, before making my way to the Middle East, stopping in Dubai and Lebanon. Europe followed, starting with Cyprus, covering both the Greek and Turkish sides of the divided island.

Have always enjoyed your vids and especially this one. I first traveled to Palermo in 1985 in the midst of the Mafia wars...it still looked like a city emerging from WW2. The port area around La Cala was still surrounded by the rubble from the Allied's bombing. There was no nightlife, the main streets that are now pedestrianized were choked with traffic during the day and empty at night. La Vucciria was the main outdoor market (unlike now its Ballaro and Capo). There seemed to be police on every corner, especially around gov. buildings. I dont think I saw more than 10 tourists the 4 days I spent in Palermo. In the Palatine Chapel, I was the only visitor....and like you I had no idea what to expect when I walked i in and was blown away. Despite all that it was, along with Napoli, one of my two favorite cities in Italy during my post university backpacking days. I returned for 2 weeks for Christmas 2019/New Years, just before the pandemic with my extended family...including my father (like you). The city sparkled, I fell in love with Palermo again and my family were enchanted. I returned again in Spring 2022 for a week and then walked one of the cammini that start in Palermo and end in Agrigento (I highly recommend for those who want to visit the relatively unvisited beautiful towns south of Palermo....recommend Spring or Fall). Visit Palermo now before it becomes overrun with tourists.

Hi. I visited Palermo for the first and only time in October 2022. I didn't expect a city so full of joy and life. Like you said, the pedestrian zone in the city center/Vucciria is now a major nightlife (and day ) attraction. It's basically a 24/7 hangout spot.
The people, the weather, art, buildings, food, everything it's magical in this city.
One question though: how would you compare the people now with the people then? Were they already so friendly and outgoing, or there was more tension in those days?

it is a strange coincidence, both England and Sicily, both Islands and both were ruled by Norman kings in the same time period. In England, the Norman dynasty was established by William the Conqueror, who became king of England after defeating Harold Godwinson at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. William was succeeded by his sons, William II and Henry I, and later by his grandsons, Stephen and Henry II. In Sicily, the Norman dynasty was established by Roger II, who became the first king of Sicily in 1130. He was succeeded by his son, William I, and later by his grandsons, William II and Tancred

God loves you so much that He sent His Holy Son Jesus from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins, and to be put into a tomb 3 days and rise from the dead the third day, and He (Jesus) went back up to heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, & murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today & please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus & stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?

Love your videos! I really liked also your videos on Naples. It seems like such an undiscovered or underappreciated treasure. I’m curious how you would compare Naples to Palermo? I’ve been to the East Coast of Sicily , I especially loved Siracusa. I love the Sicilian culture. But I’ve never been to Naples, and I’ve always wanted to explore the bustling and slightly chaotic streets.

No.....Non regge proprio il confronto !

Happy Birthday 🎂 to your dad’s 70th birthday. I hope if I get to 70 my daughter will celebrate my birthday abroad somewhere. Even though I don’t know your dad, your dad had you at the age of when I had my daughter, so I feel some connection, as we’re both fathers who have had a child in our 40s.
