After just one minute into the video, I have to say this: Wirtual, you have my sincere appreciation for pronouncing the name of the track correctly (or at least, as correctly as one can possibly wish for). Thank you. Even many Germans mutilate the word, as it is one of the most standard words to "test" pronounciation in Bavarian dialect. Btw, I assume that the map creator might be from South Tyrol, as his account is registered as Italian and this region is bilingual Italian and German, with the dialect being closely related to southern German (say, Suevian and Bavarian) and Austrian dialects. For anyone who might wonder what the strange word means, in "high German" it would be "Eichhörnchenschweif" (the "ei" has become a very quickly spoken "oa" in Bavarian dialect). It quite simply means: "squirrel's tail". It is used to "test" so-called "native" Bavarian because of its two uses of the aforementioned, quickly spoken "oa" which doesn't exist anywhere in any northern German dialect. On the contrary, most people sound strange trying to say it, because they just don't get it said quickly enough, like two separate sounds instead of one sweeping sound changing from o to a. Now, Wirtual somehow managed to say it to near perfection despite not even being a native German speeker, much less one of Bavaian (and related) dialects. That means, he not only checked the language, he also put in the effort to get the pronounciation "wirtually" (sorry, could't let this slip...) perfect, quite probably by asking a native speeker and practicing. I really appreciate your sense for detail. "Measse!"

It's funny to me how people called Oach an impossible track back then, when nowadays totally regular people complete it for fun. The perception of difficulty changed a lot !
The thing is everyone we saw in this video was a regular person. They just had the determination to put in the work to get this good. They don't differ from others much, except that they share a love for the game that keeps them going at it despite the odds seeming overwhelming.

Sincerely,
SKITTLE
This is the rare youtuber that manages to combine great editing skills with great storytelling skills. The result: quality videos that even someone like me, who has never played TMNF, can enjoy from start to finish. Hats off to you Wirtual, a true entertainer.
7:22 Music choice brought a smile on my face. That must be my favourite video game music of all time from the greatest videogame I've ever played. I loved wandering around Gaur Plains listening to that piece and enjoying the scenery even late into the game when there was not much to do.
Can only agree, the world was very different back then..
What game.?
@@AbsoluteHuman Xenoblade Chronicles. If you just have a Nintendo Switch and you enjoy a game with an epic story, I highly recommend picking up the remastered version (Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition). Words aren't enough to describe how beautiful the game is.
speaking of music, do you know the name of the song that starts at 14:05? couldn't find it on the list and have been searching for years
Man I can't even imagine the amount of adrenaline you'd get from one-shotting cp12 for the first time.
Love it! Keep it up! I started playing trackmania because of you. I love the game so far!
I have never played this game but I still find this really neat. The technical skill and dedication to it is always appreciable, no matter what the game. Well done video.
I really enjoy these narrated, documentary-style videos. I don't play the game all that often, but I could watch these for hours.
Same
Christ i was actually holding my breath while watching simo do the last checkpoint. Phenomenal story telling as usual lad
You came out of nowhere into the long form RUclips content scene and are just killing it, keep it up. Glad you found such a wide audience, your content deserves it.
He was in this form for a bit now, but only recently streamers started to love his content and will drop everything they are doing when Wirtual new upload hits.
after hearing the length of the original runs i was terrified of the prospect of hearing "and then he had this run"
Wirtual, I adore your content in basically every regard, but I honestly think that your choice of music is among the top aspects, matching my feelings extremely well for 35 minutes straight!
Ive never played this game, and probably never will, but i am obsessed with your videos. You documentary skills are so good, it makes me become very invested in a game i know nothing about. Awesome videos. Keep it up
I have never played this game but I really enjoy these videos , keep up the good work
I LOVE these history lessons! I haven't touched Trackmania in a decade and only ever played casually but this is just so interesting and enjoyable to watch
It's funny to me how people called Oach an impossible track back then, when nowadays totally regular people complete it for fun. The perception of difficulty changed a lot !
The thing is everyone we saw in this video was a regular person. They just had the determination to put in the work to get this good. They don't differ from others much, except that they share a love for the game that keeps them going at it despite the odds seeming overwhelming.
people call Final Enigma an impossible track now heh
@@MuMuKuh it will stay that way. Mark my words hah
@arutek Jere?
Those videos might be the greatest of RUclips, so much quality ! Ty Wirtual :)
The best storyteller in entire youtube. I do not like racing games, but still here to listen to the way the story is presented.
The hardest part isn't doing it flawlessly, it's saying the whole name flawlessly
I'm from Bavaria, for me it's the easiest part 😁
"This seemed like it would be the end of oach speedruns" Famous last words of Wirtual
If Wirtual was a normal Trackmania player 10 years ago watching this, he probably wouldn't have believed that this was real, but it was. Great video, keep the pace up!
Dude, I’ve never even seen this game before…I wasn’t signed in on my Xbox, so I ended up with a random recommendation…
I am engrossed in your content! You put so much behind these videos and all I can say is, keep it up!
I’ve never been so interested in a speedrunning community; hell, I’m ready to attempt it myself lol.
Please..I couldn’t care less how often you upload so long as it’s done with this level of quality.
You’ve taken a person with little to no consideration in a given genre,.. and completely sparked their interest in it. Kudos
I really love how you build up the suspense in your videos. The storytelling is truly unique and well thought out. You constantly make my jaw drop at the "critical" moments in your videos. Thank you very much, wirt.
The trackmania players are one of the most dedicated kind of players i've ever seen
After watching a few of these, the entirety of Trackmania speedrunning history can be summed up as "but wait - there's more"
here's a joke: czechpoints

@@LukaWydhe’s getting there
Why am I so addicted to these videos? I haven’t ever played this game and still I cannot stop watching these. Testament to a fantastic video creator.
I feel like I was watched a 35 minutes documentary on a small country slowly growing to become one of the biggest one there is, I love every single one of your videos, please keep onmaking them untill the dawn of TrackMania.
The transition from Tortugo to Adam Kajumi is somewhat reminiscent of Anakin Skywalker to Darth Vader
I have never played this game but Ive been following Wirtual for over a year now. You know he's a master story teller when he can make me feel nostalgic for a game I haven't touched or even heard of 1 year ago. When the music hits, it gives me goosebumps every time.
30:34 i love that overview so we can see how long the map really is
I don't even like this game (cause I suck at it) but man, I was smiling like crazy when I saw the sub 30 minutes time at the finish. Which is a great proof of how incredible your stortelling and videmaking skills are. hats off to you my guy, great video.
man your videos are just bonkers. Really enjoy watching them with your voice
Bruh, Oach being the origin story of Nixion - the person who made Plasma - is wicked.
And he was first time trying to beat it together with Simo_900, who, of course, created Final Enigma. Double wicked
0:01 you tried 😂
Can't really expect to get that right though, "ch" is kinda hard to pronounce for many... Thanks for the laughs 🙃

This is high quality stuff! I do not play track mania (and probably never will) but they way you and your editor put these world record history videos together is simply stunning. The song at the end by Beik Poel has been stuck in my head for days!
man your composition is beautiful always makes me emotions go crazy
Idk why i always get emotional over these videos. Wirtual man, you really know how to make good content

“and then, hefest got this run.”
As an Austrian the pronounciation of your Oachkatzlschowaf is funny af
What’s it mean?

Why I am addicted to watching your videos, yet I have no idea about track-mania at all. Keep up the amazing work!
Gratz to all the contenders and huge work done there in editing and I really enjoyed watching this video, thank you!
Just curious, how many tries did it take for you to say the name of the map in the intro?
you can actually hear him hold his laugh while saying it lol
at 30:20 i thought hefest will suddenly join the competition and 1shot it all :D
as a Czech i am very proud of him, finaly something good he did, he is very controversial in czech republic... it's sad
Why is he so controversial? Just wondering.
@@KineticManiac Last time I checked a Slovak RUclipsr roasted him, then he had a gimmick of making puns of his name. Then he released a mid- to low-tier song called "Emoji". And then he went to TikTok. I can only imagine what happened next.
@@KineticManiac sorry for the late reply, he is a tiktoker... all you need to know to kinda guess how cringe and controversial he is.
Thanks for the history lesson. the way you make these is awesome. I have never played or really heard of this game until recently. But this is awesome to watch.
Your documentary videos are why I watch you channel. Great video.
imagine getting through to the 17th checkpoint and then giving up on accident
The guys who made this track is obsessed with walls.
Not gonna lie, I was expecting the words: ”The Fastest Way Only decided to take a crack on Oach and found this possible shortcut… Then… Hefest got this run.”
I love the style of your videos; the history, explanation, and edits all work to create a feeling on immersion in the Track Mania world. Very well done
I've never played Trackmania but still im waiting for your videos Wirtual!! I think that the time has come for me to start playing Trackmania. Thanks for your videos!! Keep up the good work!

I've never played trackmania but i'm becoming addict to this channel. Not only great work, but super entertaining.
