Wow, that is one of the coolest things I've heard. Thanks so much for watching. I can't believe these are being shown in Indonesia. Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks Mr. Norris, The TAP readings would be tedious, but now I've discovered your videos. This might sound like a product testimony, but the way you present the material is ideal. I have a test tomorrow in APUSH and I think I'l do well on it, partially because of the videos and the great work you put into them.
oh my goodness, you just saved me, i tried reading the text book and answering the Discussion Questions, but it got tedious, and im already lacking sleep. So i just looked up ur video, and now im done the hw, tho its late, im going to bed way earlier than what i would have been going to bed if i read the text book. you are a life/sleep/grade saver. thank you.
I want to thank you on behalf of my classmates and myself especially. Your videos have helped many of us develop a more through understanding of the curriculum and have become a part of our review process for quizzes and tests. Thanks again and keep doing what you're doing!
Thanks so much for taking the time to write this. I really appreciate it. I'm glad the videos have helped you and others in your class. Best of luck to you all this year.
Thanks for these vids!!!! It's helping me out so much. I'm living in Jakarta Indonesia attending an international school here and I've shared your video's with my teacher and class mates. It's really rather impressive, thanks for your hard work in making these!
I have a test tomorrow over chapters 22-27. Just watched 25-27 so that I have a complete understanding. Thank you so much. These help me so much! Ready to ace that test tomorrow.
If you can could you make a video for students to watch the night before the AP test, with just a quick review and the memory aid acronyms? My classmates and I would really appreciate it.
I've made two big videos on the entire curriculum. You can check them out here: APUSH Review: Final Exam Review Part I (Colonial America - Civil War) APUSH Review: Final Exam Review, Part II (Reconstruction - Present Day)
gah why are barely any of my homework questions on here, any other site, or even in my textbook?! i didnt notice any mention of "alternatives to war available to McKinley in 1898" on here or even in the american pageant book and ive been on my APUSH homework for hours
Hey, try to think of the insular cases and Puerto Rico as two separate things. The insular cases simply means non US citizens are not guaranteed the same rights as US citizens, even if the US controls that area. Hope this helps.
this is very helpful even though you went through not only chapter 27 but chapter 28 also in this video i got a lot of information from your videos thank you so much.
What's the hay-pauncefote treaty again? Who grants the US right to the canal? Is it from the British, over-riding clayton-bulworth? Or am I completely off. Thanks a lot for these videos, one of the only reasons I'm doing well this year
Hi, I'm so glad the videos help. I hope you did well on the exam. i do not teach AP gov., but check out Keith Hughes' channel. He teaches AP gov and does a lot of good stuff.
question, isular case ruled that the new terrory only can be subject but not protect as the state. so is that repel after the puero rico was granted to the cizenship or it still effective to day?
Around 2:40 , who established the tariff ,and why did the Cubans react so harshly? Also for our imperial gains, Didn't we just get Guantanamo bay, but not actually Cuba?
Didn't Japan feel like they got the raw end of the deal at the end of the Russo-Japan war, which lead to the bitterness that was held by the Japanese all the way up to WWII or am I mistaken? Love your videos, lots of help
the best videos I've seen so far they are really helpful. my ap test is tomorrow and I spent the whole day watching your videos. do you do ap government too?
Hey so I'm reviewing for my 9 weeks test and I was getting the presidents confused.. when is Hay president? Is he ever president? because I know he establishes the open door policy in 1900.. and he also has to do with the canal stuff but i dont remember if he is actually president at some point in time
Hi, good question. John Hay was the Secretary of State under McKinley and Roosevelt from 1898 - 1905. He was part of both the Open Door Policy and the Panama Canal. Hope that helps.
I suck at history(don't know how I'm in AP) I get big ideas I guess I'm just really bad at taking the test! What do I do?? And these videos are helping a lot btw like a lot
What I do is I watch the video 3x before a chapter quiz and I usually get a b. (12/15). For tests, I watch all the chapters on the tests again and review using quizlet and sometimes the Crash Course US History videos just for fun
When studying you should focus on the causes and effects rather than memorization! What I do is I go through my teacher's power points and I talk aloud as if I'm explaining the material to a class. Connecting everything together like that helps me a lot! Hope this helps, good luck :)
Thanks for the help everyone! My teacher just says read the book at home and come in knowing it so it is kind of frustrating. He makes us do these thematic learning objectives but that doesn't really help. It's just busy work.
Great videos! Thank you so much! My APUSH teacher loves these videos and shares your fascination of Henry Clay!! yes, he does get uglier! Thanks again! Keep making videos!
That's awesome that your teacher shares the videos and admiration of Henry Clay. Thank you for watching and your support, I appreciate it. Good luck this year.
Didn't the cause of the US joining WWI was the sinking of a submarine and Germany sending a note to Mexico to form an alliance with them to attack the US? Is that "The Boat and the Note"?
You may be cool, but you'll never be Teddy Roosevelt riding a moose cool. Made my day.
Haha, I'm glad. Thanks for watching.
Adam Norris what good points are there to bring up that American imperialism was wrong or a bad thing?
You are iconic at my school, we talk about you all the time and you're known by name! Thank you so much for these videos!
Whenever you ask questions beginning with "who else did _____ ?" I automatically think Henry Clay LOL. Thank you for your videos!!!
Wow, that is one of the coolest things I've heard. Thanks so much for watching. I can't believe these are being shown in Indonesia. Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions.
You really helped me understand and review the chapter. Thank you so much!
I'm an honors student learning from the ap American pageant book. I have unit tests every six chapters. Your review videos help a lot thank you
11:39 Oh mah god Henry Clay YASSSS
You think you're a fan? My class has a big pink heart with a picture of him in the middle!
"In Henry we trust, In Clay we must!"
Target Locked. Activate Fangirling.

Are you going to do the APUSH reviews for American history: a survey??
Your Henry Clay comment at 4:46 made my day.
You are helping me through my apush class this year thank you.
The year of rebellion in Panama (13:46 in video) was actually November 3, 1903!
gah why are barely any of my homework questions on here, any other site, or even in my textbook?! i didnt notice any mention of "alternatives to war available to McKinley in 1898" on here or even in the american pageant book and ive been on my APUSH homework for hours

11:10 when you said that Roosevelt was chosen does that mean there was no election for the vice presidency before?
Roosevelt was an accidental president because Mckinely was assassinated
Thank you so much this was extremely helpful!!
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
I have an FRQ tomorrow on chapters 27-29 I always do badly on those and I need to do well, any advice on how to study?

Ohhhh ok thanks.. I realized I was getting him confused with Rutherford B. Hayes in the gilded age xD
Just a question if we had a study guide and shared it, would you go over the topics?
I can't promise I can go over all of them, but if you want to give me a few topics I'll do my best to go over some of them.
Thank you!
