Sam's town is a masterpiece despite the taunts of the specialized press in 2006. If Brandon hadn't said in an interview that this album would be one of the best of this decade, the press would have reacted differently. The truth is that this album is really very very good...

I was there and everyone wanted to just hear him! It was a mad day. Me and a friend were visiting Tahoe from Scotland and saw Obama was speaking randomly in the lake when he was president and they were playing as they are Nevada’s state band. We got there and listened to Obama and there must of been like 2000 people more or less and then after Obama finished about 1500 got out there seats and left 🤯 So I swear there was like only 300 of us getting to see the killers live. One of the most amazing days of my life. We were so lucky to just get to enjoy this!
People usually sing along during the original rockier version at concerts and also when Brandon wants them to when he points the microphone at the audience.

I hope they do more acoustic versions. Very rare for some singers/bands to sound better live and keep improving 10/12yrs later.
