Thanks for watching and I appreciate the positive feedback! The Siser Juliet took about 25 seconds to cut that design. The cutter was designed to compete with industrial cutter machines. It’s very fast🏎️

Thanks for Watching! I don't own a Silhouette Cameo cutter machine, however, Cameo just released a new cutter machine that seems like its very competitive with the Siser Cutter machine. I would say the software Siser Cutter machine is faster and does not make nearly as much noise as any other cutter machine in its class. The new Cameo seems to be the same however I've never used it. Long story short... The Siser Cutter Machine seems better than any desktop cutter machine on the market, however, I would also check out the new cameo also before making a decision. I hope that helps.
Do I need a heat press.
Yes and No. You can use an easy press, you could even use an iron. The problem with using an iron is you won’t get consistent heat and pressure. The vinyl may stick to the shirt but it will probably fall off the shirt. It will either fall off during wash or while you wear because of improper time and temperature. Best suggestion is heat press for proper time temp and pressure. I hope that answers your question. If you’re just getting started you don’t need an expensive heat press either. Sorry I’m late with responding. I know the Siser website will show you everything but the price. I thinks it due to the company working with a lot of Distributors with all different sale prices. Siser also has a book with all time, temperature and pressing instructions. Heat Transfer Warehouse has pretty good pricing on siser products. I have a link in the description below. Heat Transfer Warehouse also has a pressing instructions all vinyl options they have available. Just be sure to double check and see it the application instructions change due to the color.

3:51, placing the vinyl on the mat. Is there an up or down side to the vinyl? Like is there a “matte “ side and a “glossy” side? Or does it not matter which side is “up”? Just being curious…thx
Great Question!
Yes, the vinyl comes on a roll with a transparent (clear) carrier-sheet that can sometimes be hard to tell which side is the vinyl and which side has the carrier-sheet. The cutter machines are setup to cut through the vinyl but not the carrier-sheet. Even though they can. Usually, you only want the blade to cut the design with just enough force to cut through the vinyl and not the sheet. If I use the same force with the machine and I had the carrier-sheet on top and the vinyl side on the mat. It would not cut through at all, and if it did the image would come out backwards.
