I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THIS VIDEO, while this arc was definetly short and Ufotable adapted it to an 8 episode season, this gave us more time to connect with the hashira and learn from their backstories before the storm which is Ininity castle arc. if this was handled the way people wanted it to, the anime only audience wouldnt have connected more easily with the hashira like the manga readers have. Definetly subscribing!

season 3 and 4 has been below average ain't no way you think this season is better than season 1
this season had nothing the so called "hashira arc" was a joke we got mostly tanjiro doing half a$ed training with some random characters instead of the Trio going stage by Stage in these trainings and the Training should have been a full EP for each Hashira
the Love Hashira "training" was literally 4 minutes or something

I love a good training arc, but even for a training arc I think it was pretty garbage. Not to say that other anime don't have bad training arcs too, there's other anime which also have bad training arcs. It still felt quite rushed and felt like they were throwing in a lot of filler. I think some of the training they actually did was actually just stupid like when tanjiro went to train with the girl hashira she made him do splits like 1 time or something and they didn't show you much of that. I was like umm ok so that's supposed to make him like able to defeat stronger demons now or something doing splits, pretty dumb and yes I know flexibilty matters but they could've handled it a bit different like had him doing contortionist stuff so then at least if hes stuck in an impossible position to get out of he could bend his body in weird ways to get out of it. I think there's things which could've been handled much better. Also the fact the hashirama didn't actually teach them much anyway, there wasn't a lot of verbal explanations or "teaching" actually happening it was either some sparring or a "figure it out for yourself" type of training. Or it was like exercise training... Example of how it could be handled better is like in jojo's bizarre adventure when he's learning hamon how they explain things a bit more or like in naruto when he's learning the rasengan with jiraiya how they actually spend more time explaining things

This isnt just a bad demon slayer arc its one of the worst Shounen arcs ive seen in a long time. Literally felt like a Parody show half of the time. Too many jokes, most of them were not funny either. Totally killed any tension the last season might have built. The writing has taken an absolute nosedive.

I enjoyed it but it was the hardest to care about sitting down to watch. It wasn't action packed like we've been used to for the last few years, it harkens back to the first season when the pacing was slower and it was showing the world and character development. I believe they did a good job with this, especially knowing now that these training sessions were only a couple pages. They really shown these characters and who they are, because before this, I didn't know much or care about half the hashira. Now I feel closer to them which will probably make this final arc, a tough one to watch.

My comment about your adaptation point. I disagree. The best adaptation from the original source material in my opinion is absolutely Mushoku Tensei. It has been so true to form and has done it justice in pacing, animation and characters. They've really shown how big the world of Mushoku Tensei is. The entire series goes through different regions, cultures, hell even money systems that each major country has. The anime adaptation is been a true blue love letter to the original novels and as I am still reading through the novels right now, I'm just blown away at how vivid I can see the world thanks to the anime and nothing is hitting wrong. I haven't once been like "This was a mistake not to include in the anime" or "this should NOT have been included, it's barely mentioned in the novel" none of that, it has been almost perfect. Now I've heard that episode 23 of season 2 (not gonna spoil)'s pacing was completely thrown off and they compacted everything into a single episode, I haven't read that far yet but if so, that's a shame but sometime studios are given restraints like that.
All to say, to me, Mushoku Tensei is the absolute best and truest love letter adaptation I've seen in my entire life as an anime fan. Also Studio Bind was created just to do this adaptation and it shows, it really is a one of a kind story deserving a one of a kind adaptation.

I personally think this was a good season. Was it slower pace and not as action packed "yes". However, that was kind of the point of this arc. it was supposed to be the calm before the storm. It also helps to flush out some of the characters that we will need to know for the final part of the series. I know that this season is not for everyone and there are definitely filler scenes but I think as the connection point between the swordsmith village arc and the final arc it did a good job. Also as far as pacing goes for many shows it is usually somewhere between 1-2 chapters per episode (sometimes they can get up to 3 chapters for high pacing) in many anime so the number of episodes is actually not too unrealistic. I think people who just say this should have been nothing more than a montage are missing a lot of the important story elements that they had in this arc and a lot of the important character moments in the arc. Everyone is entitled to their opinion about it but I am just saying to give it a chance and try to look at the bigger picture of what this arc is all about before just writing it off.
