Nice video Evan and im glad you asked him in the end about horsepower. The current Kicks has a 1.6 liter engine, not 1.4 liter engine like he told you lol. Also 141 horsepower is not class competitive lol. Corolla Cross gasoline model has 30 more horsepower and hybrid model has 55 more horsepower. Honda HRV has almost 20 more horsepower. The fact is that this new Kicks is 500 pounds heavier than old Kicks and will actually be slower than old Kicks, even with the upgraded engine. Expect a zero to 60 of 12 seconds
As a 2022 Kicks driver. I can promise you none of us kicks drivers care about speed. We like technology and comfort. It has awesome mpg. I'm a doordasher and drive 300+ miles day. The kicks are amazing and honestly built like tanks. My kicks has already saved me when a guy pulled into a road right in front of me when i was going 40 mph and the car managed to hault to a dead stop with about 3 feet of clearing. I will always stay with nissan. Maybe old nissans were shit but the new ones I can personally are not. Nissan kicks is great for the value and no one can dispute that.
I recently rented a 2024 Nissan Sentra that uses the same engine and CVT transmission that this car will most likely have, it does seem underpowered on paper but I was pleasantly surprised while driving the vehicle. Obviously you won't beat a 5.0 Mustang, SRT, BMW M340i or Red Sport Infiniti off the line, but the acceleration was smooth and responsive, not laggy like some of the older Nissan models, and the car did great merging onto the freeway and passing other vehicles, perfectly good for a daily driver
@@andresnider4926 Keep in mind though that a fully loaded 2025 Nissan Kicks SR AWD will be a cool 300 pounds heavier than the Sentra you drove so that will make the Kicks feel sluggish compared to your Sentra
@@johnkonde1975 True, but I would probably go for the SV FWD anyway, which is a dead on match in terms of curb weight according to Nissan specifications.
I would have never bought the 2018-24 Nissan Kicks because I found it was just too underpowered and cramped inside, but this looks promising, I would definitely check it out when it hits the dealership lots. It seems like Nissan had the Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-30 and Hyundai Kona keenly in mind when designing this new Kicks
Where are you getting those figures? Go to the website and you can build them, the top trim with all the features is just over 30k, and it comes with so much. Yeah, it’s a little underpowered, but I think it looks bad ass, the features are sick and I would rock one any day.

Awesome design improvements. Great Japanese car quality

This new 2025 Kicks is actually slower than the last gen Kicks. You're not considering the increased curb weight
I think the new Kicks may end up replacing the Qashqai/Dualis model sold outside North America.
Excellent video! How tall are you?
cameraman, you made me dizzy af
This or CX-30?
$42k after dealer ‘markups.’ Base Kia Telluride, base Honda Pilot, base Toyota Highlander territory for that price.

What is the MPG?
31/city - 36/highway
Nice rig but we'll have to see how that engine moves this heavier Kicks. The previous model was a notorious slug.
Beginning of video, sucks. Too long
