- My JEEP GLADiATOR RTR has been performing Amazing in 2020! YES, I am using my REMOTE TASK (Radio Controlled) FULL SIZE CAT 242D SKID STEER to move the HEAVY ROCKS skillfully into position. I have a bad back, and being INSIDE the machine is almost impossible for the abuse one takes getting bounced around. Changing the rocks is something I like to do every year so I keep my skills sharp (I know, it is humorous) and to keep me interested! Moving these rocks by hand is literally impossible.. and the skid steer makes short work of making a new track.
The Long Wheel Base of the JEEP GLADIATOR makes it a favourite of mine. It can twist with a great suspension and is exceptionally stable! I have my suspension all stock.. and the only thing different are my larger tires and wheels. Im shocked at how many features this GLADIATOR HAS! Lots of plastic injection or molded plastic accessories.. and it ALL of it comes assembled. What do you think of the new rock course.. do you have a backyard rock or trail course?! Comment below!

Question for anyone to answer, I'm a long time RC enthusiast, with many years in racing and bashing. I've recently considered getting into the crawling game, and was looking for an honest unbiased opinion between the TRX-4 and the Axial scx 10 III. Thanks in advanced
Well BOTH are amazing vehicles my friend..and both manufacturers have similar setups. Im sure many people will chime in here.. (I cant pick a favourite.. they both kick some serious trail!) #TeamRCSparks!
Tbh man I would go with axial scx 10iii Bc back wheels can lock got portal axles so lots of clearance not top heavy like the trx got metal links and etc.
Go with Axial or Traxxas and you cant go wrong.

Honestly both are great rigs own both but hands down the trx4 has handled way more abuse vs my 10.iii witch broke front axle.in first week and was stock my trx4 has been 3s brushless for over 2 years and takes everything even brutal abuse with high kv motor for fun when bored but mainly use 1250kv tenshock 6 pile crawler motor i own 6 trx4 4 axial truck 1 carisma 2 cross rc 2 gmade just to list a few crawlers in my possession if you want a light trx4 gwt the sport builders kit and the 2 speed transmission kit and you will never be disappointed with it

Hey Medic! I work in a hobby shop, so I figured I'd give you a heads-up to look in the portals, the ring and pinion, and in some cases the transmission. A lot of the gladiators were shipped without grease on the gears. Yours sounds like many of the ones I've come across.
I'm going to purchase one soon. Do they still have this problem? Or have they fixed it with the newer ones?

I always like watching when you go for a run on your rock course.. I hope they come out with a kit really want the Gladiator And favorite question at the end a full size Gladiator would be pretty sweet but that old school rig would be sweeter😁

It really depends my favorite trail tires are 1.9 duratrax deep woods 1.9 rc4wd boggers 1.9 rc4wd micky thompson baja claws and rc4wd mudslingers
Having bought a 2nd hand Gmade R1 at the beginning of lock-down, here in the UK, i was planning on getting a Komodo as something more scale. But the won a TRX4 Sport in a raffle on Facebook, and I have to say, its awesome. I took my 7 year old out last weekend, and the stock (apart from cut tyre's) TRX4 was so much more capable than the R1, I think I need to spend some more cash on metal beadlocks and better tyre's as a start!!
As for my favorite, as long as I'm having fun, who gives a rats? The smile on my sons face made it worth while.
What he doesn't know yet, is hes getting an FTX Mauler as first car of his own for his birthday in a few weeks. :)
Love the new rock section. Youre so lucky to be able to walk out of your door, and have that, literally, on your doorstep.

Followed your channel since 2008 . Owned the original scx10 and decided to get the gladiator after watching your unboxing video. Loving it so far. Also from the best city in the world cow town as we call it.

I wany the RC skidsteer!!!! The fun would be endless!!!! I swap between ottsix KLR-Ms, Hyrax, Landmines, or Modified Traxxas stockers. They all work great. We have 5 jeeps and I love them all.
when I was 16. the nt before I took my driving test to get my license i practiced parallel parking w my rc to get the concept of what to do in a real car
Now Sparks, you know my story. I'm just sitting here down in Tennessee at the old folks home...haven't owned or played with any RC cars and trucks since the 80's.... hell no, not the 1880's.. but after trying HO trains, golf,fishing etc.,RC is by far the best hobby I ever had. Tried the grandson on some toy RC cars but he absolutely destroys them in a matter of hours. All my RC's were Associated kits but I always liked the Losi RTR Trucks so maybe I might try and pick him up something like that and see how long it last. Man, I sure hope your back is getting a little better every day. Caught your last video with Lyle trail riding in the woods ( if you remember I said that spot looked just like Tennessee ) so tell him I missed him in today's video. My first Crawler is a Redcat Gen8 Axe edition. So far, it has been everything I wanted ( tough out of the box, no immediate upgrades needed ), and I have been trying to break it on our new course. It has not failed me yet.

I love rc crawling. And I DO own full size 4x4s in fact I own a 1983 Jeep cj7 and a 1989 ford ranger 4x4 and I own a 2007 toyota sequoia 4x4 and I take them all off roading. It's a blast especially when your done playing in the mud with the big toys and pull out the rc version and keep on playing in the mud. Lol
I use the same mud slingers but you're right for trail I like the Duratrax Deep Woods then I only crawl if something's in my way I love trails, mudd sand I'm gonna go play in my backyard, yeah I put 100mm shocks on all my axial rigs I have axial JLU, Gladiator, Cherokee, 69' Chevy K5 blazer, 1980 K5 blazer, 2014 Chevy HD crewcab, 6x6 UMG, redcat gen8 axe, Wendigo with a 67' chevy C10 body, Traxxas TRX4 Mercedes Benz g500 and Defender I think that's it for trail trucks thank's for sharing Medic take care 😎👍

I posted in your comments section a few months back that I'm building a 8x8 (4 / 8 wheel drive) truck.
I now have the 3 gearboxes, the 4 axles, a 3:1 gearbox to slow it down if needed and some of the suspension parts on the way.
The truck is a challenge for me to build and it will help me with my depression and anxiety disorders.
P.s. I've got 4 winches for it so if it gets stuck it should be able to life it's self out of trouble. 😀

Love what Axial is doing mechanically with these 3rd gen rigs though. Bravo! They don’t seem to need much as far as upgrades out of the box as version 1 and 2. Visually the sky is the limit of course lol.
I like the goat busters sticker. Nice to see the rocks moved around new challenging lines. I use mud slingers, tsl swappers, I rocks, even the old gmade bighorns, trepador, Mickey Thompson Baja claw and the J concepts renegades.
@RCSparks Studio I'm wondering about tires for this exact model which I can use on a huge 7km hill climb with rocks, streams, loose dirt etc. This trail has literally everything besides a lot of mud and I need a tire that will grip the rocks while still grabbing the loose dirt and wading through streams with the performance I know the SCC 10.III can offer With the right set of boots. Anyone got some suggestions? Thank y'all so much in advance!

Hello there! I was wondering if anyone could recommend a crawler in the 200-300$ rang.I am not ready to build a kit but I do know the basics of rc,I currently own a traxxas slash so I know the basics but I really want to get into crawling.If anyone has some ideas please do reply, I also am looking for a crawler that can be upgraded down the line if a servo or the motor breaks and I want a range of body’s to be able to use as well as custom bumpers.Ty very much if you can help.

I love my Proline Interco 1.9 Super Swamper Boggers! Some people think cause they’re taller=easier to tip over, but they add more unsprung weight lower that counters the “want to tip-over”. 👍 recommend those tires to everyone that wants more clearance and unsprung weight where it counts! 👌🍻🤘

I absolutely love the gladiator. And axial looks like they did it right. 3rd times a charm lol. I have an og scx10 on austar punmatic 2.2s duel shocks 2in lift with drop basket for driveline. I havent been able to drive all summer because of very cheap servo and 25 tooth servo horn. But my boy has a backwoods truck he loves. The adventure of rc is always out there. Love your show love your people. Keep it up medic.

I make traction chains for my trail truck because honestly good tires can sometimes be a little expensive.
That's what's nice about rock piles, you can rearrange them in a countless ways. I just found a landscaping supply co that have all kinds of rocks and I'm getting more. I like using proline tsl swamper tires for crawling.
Im liking my pit bull rock beast tires on my trx4. They grip great on everything

I use ripsaws also on my comp rock bouncer.
personally I'd go for the old one! always loved old vehicles and that would look amazing on trails! I'm actually doing up a custom trail rig!

I love to crawl that course!! Like that jeep..may need to get 1!! My main crawl is Axail scx1.& I'm running at least 7yr old Axail Ripsaws!! Best tire I found,& couldn't afford ,ithink last set on planet..but mine are doing fine!!

You should make a remote control truck that has your remote for the skid steer on it so it isn’t hard on your back. Have like a 4’ pole then mount on top. That would be a cool build

I'm loving that truck! I run proline TSL Swampers on my 82 pinched and bobbed Chevy on SCX10-II chassis and I'm fixing to put proline TSL Boggers on gen 8 axe.

Love your videos. I just ordered the Jeep Wrangler RTR and it will be my very 1st RC car. I had to choose the Wrangler cause i have had 2 in real life and loved them. I am still waiting on delivery of my wrangler but if I love it I will probably order the gladiator too. I am a Jeep person and always will be.
