    The pellet catcher/target setup I use is the best and quietest I've found so far ...I use a 12" x 12" x 18" cardboard box filled with "rubber mulch" and I stick shoot n c targets on the end of the box and shoot into it length wise. The rubber mulch lasts forever and the only sound is the pellet hitting the paper target and box. My neighbors have no idea that I'm shooting! ✌️

    Tom is a credit to Hull Cartridge, I dealt with him when I purchased a HW45 Pistol, it cronoscoped at just over 3 ft lbs, I was upset at the poor performance for a high cost pistol, I could have spent half that amount and got a pistol with more output power, I returned it to Hull Cartridge and after 3 weeks it was returned to me and once again put over the crony it was now just under 5ft lbs less than Hull stated on their test, but it was a very cold and frosty morning, on a hot day it is around 5ft lbs, Tom sent me some test pellets and nothing was too much trouble for him ensuring that I was a happy customer, Because of the Fantastic Customer Service I received I bought a HW 97K Blue Laminate, Outstanding Rifle. Thank you Tom and Hull Cartridge.

    For garden shooting i have a wooden frame that is covered in very thick wood leant against my shed, attached to the wood is a normal 14 cm metal target holder but the secret to real safety and noise reduction is to fill the holder with PLUMBERS PUTTY it will catch and quieten every single pellet plus the pellets do not penetrate the putty.

    I use a cardboard box with old towels folded up and layered inside. Behind this I have a piece of kitchen worktop as a backstop, though I’ve never had a .22 pellet get more than half way through the towels. After a session you can take the towels out and shake the pellets free, then refold the towels and you’re ready for the next session.

      Hi Matt, it's always a good watch seeing you or Rich out hunting or doing a review on air guns.. I'm a new shooter, well about a year now, so I'm learning from scratch, from how to breath, how to hold a rifle, how to put on a scope, what ammo to buy, the whole shibang 🤣🤣lol. So I've learned so much from you and Rich...and I do appreciate the time and effort you put into your craft.. so I thank you for that.. catch you on your next video...🤟✌️👍

    Hi Matt. What is the most accurate air you ever used sub 12.

    • @theshootingshow
      @theshootingshow  20 дней назад +1

      Hi Wayne. It's hard to call as airguns are at such a high level now. However, I have quite an old Air Arms S400 and a Daystate Mk3 which are both phenomenal.
      All the best. Mat

    I am lucky to have a few HW spring powered rifles, one of which is a 35 blue laminate edition which is imo really nice to look at and lovely to shoot , unfortunately as the years have gone by my permissions have been built over or had changed of use so now i am a air rifle wall flower all kitted out with nowhere to dance , ? Mat if you are going to hold a workshop anytime soon would im sure enjoy the experience, im not to far from you Somerset my home base , stay safe everyone 😊

      That's a lovely gun. No instruction days in the pipeline just now, but I might be able to line something up. Drop me a line at mat.manning@fieldsportspress.com

    Why not bring a completely new rifle instead of just a different stock bsa daystate and fx all bring new g7ns out not just a different stock its got boring now

    • @theshootingshow
      @theshootingshow  23 дня назад +3

      It's great to see completely new models, but I think the point is that the Weihrauch airgun line-up is so popular that they haven't had to make any radical changes to keep their sales strong. They just nailed it from the outset.
      Thanks for tuning in. Mat

      We all get excited by new models, but Weihrauch's approach has led to the kind of longevity that not only makes great rifles but makes them last for decades. Still hard to beat when it comes to break barrels in my view...
