The two of them cover "Ascend", They also cover one of Jason's songs. The mastery exhibited by both, especially TheDooo, who was on top of his game, will blow your mind. Herman does a great job interviewing TheDooo, if you want to learn more about him. Also Davie504's legendary bass vs guitar battle with "the biggest guitarist on RUclips," aka, TheDooo, are at once hilarious with phenomenal musicianship. At the end of their second battle, both put the jokes aside and jam on "Ascend".There are also videos out there of students playing it at their recitals. It's a modern masterpiece.
Thedooo added the crazy train riff to pay homage to the song because it was one of the first songs he learned on guitar. It is not on his remastered version of the solo sadly due to copyright.
listening to this makes me appreciate how much cleaner and fuller the new versions of his songs sound. Three of his songs are on the 'guitar solos but on the new guitar' video, including this one.

I honestly think he's just a random guy. He started his channel I believe just sharing videos of him playing video games. Then, after a bit, he started playing music. Actually, I believe the vast majority of the videos he does are gaming videos. He plays with these 3 or 4 other guys and they crack stupid jokes all the time. I mean stupid jokes in a good way, as in silly. They are actually REALLY funny. However, some of their humor is crude, which I personally have no problem with.
I agree, he isnt a "name" outside of social media - I'd put money on that. He just loves what he does right now, but he could be touring the world with top tier artists if he wanted to - i just dont think he wants to
there have been worldclass level talents in any branch for like forever. nobody really knew them either they had never a lucky break or didnt really wanted one. its just these days they get more on the surface. plus informmation was never so good accessible. young people can learn anything on a world class level these days in their living room if tghey really want. in the past if your music teacher sucked well good luck for you. by the time you discover the next level youre probably to old to develop fully
