@@codymifsud2448 I agree. I think the idea of these temporary tracks tho is to bring racing closer to where the market has potential to develop further.
Honestly this was some amazing racing. It was one of those tracks where it was hard to pass but in the good way, ya know? Awesome short track showings. Reminded me of watching late models run around the local 1/4 mile paved tracks.
Especially when the sport essentially has done more fun out of the box stuff lately mixed with the new cars, probably hard not to want to be in the car again
Logano wins first dirt race at Bristol and now first clash at the coliseum. Remind me to put some $$$$$ on Logano when Nascar tries another type track that's not regularly done.
Oh yeah once that happens, it's over for good !!!! I'm actually shocked that to this day, they are still ancient carbureted pushrod V8's. Those are REALLY old schooled engines they have in them. I would think they would have done like a 3.0L Twin Turbo DOHC V8 or something more of a modern V8 by now, but nope... WHICH IS STILL GOOD. 👍🏽

Good Point! After growing up in the 70's and 80' following the sport, NASCAR has lost its swag and the ratings show it. I will probably watch the Daytona 500 and then not watch 10 laps of any other race.
Unfortunately most people have no idea what you are talking about, and that is their loss. To me, NASCAR is on life support, and "races" like this, complete with rap music "entertainment", could help speed up it's eventual demise. A shame really.
This event was a travesty. What made it worse was fox announcers continually trying to convince us that what we were seeing was the greatest thing in the history of Motorsport.
Really not what I had expected. Great idea but not really the best venue choice. Short straightaways, tight, tight corners and crazy weird pits. However, if you look at it from an engineering standpoint, short race equals no major use of pits, no fuel transfer, no tire changes and no carnage. I’m going to go get a tall beer and something to eat
Apparently I don't get it coz I'm not a yank it seems. But this looks like the slowest saddest affair in motorsport to ever take place. I imagine every race car driver aspires to race at a "Road car" speeds 😂
Hated that race Sunday. I can't even tell you who won, because it was so boring! Absolutely no room for any maneuvering by drivers. I cannot imagine the money spent by the stadium as well as NASCAR. Totally a waste of time. And since when is Rap music for NASCAR. Dale had to be turning over with his fingers in his ears.
It was just to emulate the success of the Super Bowl. Unfortunately the Clash has not been good for the past decade (remember, 2020 was the last straw for the Clash at Daytona)

Logano winning

Fox is getting so much lazier in their broadcasting. They're still uploading their stuff in 720p like it's 2010 too.
