Painting in VR looks awesome, however feeling the brush on my fingers, the texture of canvas, the smells of the colours, the excitement & happiness when you get a stroke just right can never be replaced by painting it virtually. But I do appreciate the video and an insight into what can be done in VR. Much love & likes on the video.
Definitely doesn't compare to the real thing, but it's good that something this accurate is just accessible for a few clicks For lazy people like me it's perfect
I'd love to see an experiment where someone new learns how to paint only using this, then they have to paint a painting in real life and see how the pictures compare.
That sounds like a great idea. This could be an excellent learning tool especially for oils! I've never used oils before so technically this was a first. I've since discovered I have to let it dry (in the case of this app you use the layer features)
@@iamasquiddlecan you tell me what it is? I just bought a quest 3 about a month ago. I don't know of anything quite like this on psvr2.. I've searched.
Oh I have a frame TV!! I should totally do that! Thanks! I made a video demonstration your idea :) ruclips.net/video/Z_w_gq-dIVE/видео.htmlfeature=shared
okay but how do I transfer my digital paint into the real world so i can have everyone see it? Or just have it on my wall without having to put a headset on every time. Is there a way to print it and have a high resolution file?
My wife says that Paint VR feels much better and more naturally with the brushes compared to this Vermillion. She also said that it's harder to do small and tiny details in Vermillion compared to real life.
I noticed that too, Ibut there's a button I press to stablise the hand so I can do fine strokes, not as natural but it works ok. Haven't tried paint VR but now I would love to give it a go! Real life obviously still the best but real life cost alot more paint and money haha.
@@MeettheTingsyes I totally agree about prices etc. I’m not a painter, but my wife is a professional painter and she told that Painting VR drawing feeling is much more closer to realistic feeling, she could do small details that she couldn’t achieve in Vermilion. I have both apps on my Quest 3. And yes, my wife tried stabilization you are talking about

I agree, but in VR you will never run out of white or burnt amber hehe!

This looks incredible, need to buy this.
Id love it if they added google street view as an option for backdrops, so you could paint real life landscapes.
Hmm I wonder if I can actually use google street view cos there's a built in browser
@SteveDavies80 your the smartest person I've ever seen

I wonder what Bob Ross would have made of this, you should do a Bob Ross Impression! 😀
Yea I should! I might do some next week actually, great idea!

This looks amazing! Got me considering this headset. Wish PlayStation VR2 had something like this.
This is so good. I love just sitting there and painting in the cool of the afternoon
It actually does

Very cool! And good job great painting at the end!
Thanks! I was just mucking around but sometimes that's what happens! The feelings just come out on canvas!
Impressed
Should try to overlay the vr on top of something real so there is physical contact
Combo this with a Frame TV and and you can display the stuff you make.

Once a painting is completed, you can export the file in order to create physical prints of your artwork
@@Creslin321 Do you know what the resolution is?
@@PhotoJohn80 not sure, I just read it on a website, I haven’t had a chance to play with it yet.
@@PhotoJohn80 just read up to 8k
cool thanks for the reply!@@Creslin321
