Hey Mike..Totally know what your saying about your dog they are part of the family..we had our 3 for 15 and 16 years lost all of them this year a few months apart..It's so hard when they go..sending prayers for yours..stay safe out there...
I had friends that tag teamed these, wife and he had old beater trucks and she did cardboard and pallets, he did scrap. They weren't choosey, they dumpster DOVE. Aluminum cans, cardboard, pallets, they took it all. Made fair money as a team also! When I first met them they were black from heat to toe and filthy, but dirty hands makes for clean money. Good guys those two, we went to dinner a couple of times had great times, good memories!thanks Mike!

The day these businesses start to recycle all the cardboard that takes up so much space in their dumpsters will they realize that they're tossing a lot more valuable items. But so many don't see that value as Mike has and he certainly has turned their trash into his treasure. Way to go.👍👍👍💰💰💰💰

In my area you have to pay to dispose of cardboard too. So some businesses just don't bother. My brother in law uses a shredder that cuts up old boxes into packing material. It saves on packing materials and avoids having to pay for cardboard disposal
Be careful around those long lights. I heard they have mercury in them, so if you break one by accident you might me exposed to it!! Merry Christmas !!
Some of the items you picked up a few hours ago like the reduction gear heads can be used on the automotive field. You need to get a Geiger counter due to some of the industrial items like that power mixer with either 5 or 6 ports on them. I just get a dusting of snow and on NY. I would be interested in the cameras you found tonite. I found a place that dumped 4 oz of hand sanitizer. Shipping containers full of them and left them alone. The wire Loom is what we use with the transmitters and all the associated cables.
Been working a few years as tech helper in HVAC and natural gaz conversion for some years. We were instructed to remove ALL the existing piping, electrical and control "old" equipment and start from scratch so to be approved as brand new installations for City and insurance purposes. Some stuff was almost brand new but we had to throw everything away, some times in locked garbage bins. You would'nt believe the stuff going to landfill. Sreel or copper piping, brass fittings and valves, motors, wiring (no1) aluminum, you name it. All in pure waste ! If you got caught "steeling" metal, it was automatic lay off ! Same I guess with security equipment, cameras, wiring and all. Pure waste.

I was a shop foreman for 18 years and had scavengers I would see and I would save things for them had a guy that would come every other week and get our pallets 10 15 20 what ever we saved another guy collected pop cans and we had a scrap man who bought steel and copper at about $.50 on the $1.00

So just minutes before you mentioned having them leave the good scrap next to the dumpster, I had the idea of 'MTS Recycling Service". You could have your own line of dumpsters just for metal and electronics. Then you would have your own dumpster truck to just empty it they way the other companies do.
