In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Mike, let me add my voice to those who are worried about your knees. As a young man I worked with horses jump up, jump down. Now at 73 I am paying the price. Get a small ladder or step stool. I am not sure what the monetary benefits are but you are sure helping the planet. God bless.
My 65 year old father just got both knees replaced because of going up and down ladders for a roofing company for over 40 years. It's usage of any kind, things wear out with over use. Finding a happy medium or using it while you got it is all I can chalk it up too. Both my mother and myself need knee replacements, so genetics is also a factor. Sorry your knees give you so much trouble.
Setup the exhaust vent so if painting, you can get fresh air in the space. Ideal paint outside. But if raining, you can paint inside with a vent or just to cool the garage off. Always good uses to this NEW Junk :)
I think I'm addicted to your videos. Brings me joy and laughs in such dismal times were in. I love how you just get in them dumpsters and do your thing. Your not afraid of no covid,LOL!! Be safe my friend!!

I got caught at a large retail store last night...the employees stuck around until 2 am and actually caught me in the dumpster 😂....I grabbed the stuff that was good and hoped out...laughed and told them if they didn’t like it then get a compactor! What’s the big deal anyway...lol...I won’t shop at the store even if it were the last place open to do shopping lol...

Good to hear that we're getting through to you about the knees. I'm five months on from the first surgery and I've about learned to walk again bro. Went out scrapping the other night and the way I gotta bend the leg to get in and out of the truck slowed me down considerably. Still scored a good pile of stuff though. Take it easy on yourself and avoid the whole drama.
Scrap yards won’t take a dam fire extinguisher but they will gladly let some dodgy bloke come in with 300 cats in his truck
not at any scrap yard in my area, that would get you barred and the police called to report you. you have to have proof of ownership or be an auto mechanic with documentation. only one will take them and pay you without proof will pay you like 5% market value. Now idk about iscrap's RRcats platform which buys from people nationwide, i hope they wouldnt be that shoddy but who knows.

Yeah Mike, I live in Indiana and we've had a rash of catalytic converter thefts too. A man was just busted for selling over 50 to a scrap yard. I work for Toyota and we had several weeks where someone was sneaking through our parking lots and taking them too.
Some places have welded cages around the converters.
Sometimes it takes a min or 3 for the ac to kick in.
In watching your videos I have noticed that you bear the admirable quality of laughing aft once self it is Kind of rare but a very good quality
Good job being easier on your knees! I would have looked up if they had any recalls on the dog food. If not would have used it for my dog or donate to a shelter.

In southern Oregon they were cutting catalytic converters off cars in apartment parking areas and even in the mall parking lot. Battery operated reciprocating saws were the tool of choice. Then the scrap yards really tightened down on accepting them. They were also drilling gas tanks to drain them. Meth heads are not the brightest bulb on the string.
My daughters husband had bright lights & cameras installed around their vehicles & house & that prevented people from stealing.

In my town, there was just a catalytic converter theft spree. They went after day care busses.
Just an FYI to you brother, during the days that it is raining, go to auto parts stores and get out as many windshield wiper blades that you can. The old school type has stainless steel rods in them. Just set yourself a bin to the side in your garage, and keep throwing them in their next thing you know you will have a nice handful of stainless steel. I used to make hydrogen boosters out of them, but now I use other material. I don't have a car now, but back when I did I got 95 miles to the gallon highway and 65 miles to the gallon City

I was with Geico for years. They helped me buy my home. But they kept going up in premiums. When we finally switched our premiums were almost $1500. a year. No accidents, no claims, bare minimum coverage. Went to all state and premiums were less then half and that was with full coverage, liability, collision, and comp. We are in a new state and we pay approx $1000-1100. Just a thought.

We have a Ruling : NO Food or Drink to be taken out of the Dumpsters or the Garbage - way to Dangerous ! Overall not a bad Dumpster Diving Night - we love it ! wow I saw this portable air conditioner, I thought at the time how good it would be to do a live without spending all that heat here in Brazil ... I confess that I would be very happy to find something like this in the trash, but here it will never happen.

I work with stuff like that Lock Out Tag Out box, and yeah you are correct it's a safty measurment tool when alot of people are working on/inside of machines :)
I swear some nights I say to my scavenging buddy,"we either gonna find a gun or a body one of these nights!". We have found a ton of gun supplies, money, silver and even gold! The reason for saying what I did to my buddy is, we have found almost everything but a gun or a body. Haha. One we wanna find, one we absolutely don't wanna find! Anyways, I gotta grab me one of those Trash panda shirts, it was my old gamertag!

maybe some of the cameras might work still and have been replaced for cosmetic reasons like external corrosion, then you could wire it up with some wireage and such and catch future thieves on cctv.
Mike them cages are for when you go scuba diving to go see the sharks so they can get you so keep your arms in LOL

Saw the wax lid to that Scentsy warmer in that corner where the dog food was, too bad you didn't cause you really get some money for that. Also there were dog beds too and of course the rabbits and cat. Would have been perfect for yard sale... Too bad.
I live in Indiana too and it’s crazy what They will take I try to re-purpose donate everything I came across so I can help other people but it’s just imagine how much waste we use thank God for dumpster divers so we can save mother
You can maybe grind or sand off the find on the trailer so at least it looks even. Unless you think it will shatter or something.

Red box is cool..also old wood ladders sell good on market place..people use them for display..
That ladder might become something for the side of the truck, to help you navigate some dumpsters. both inside and out.
The ladder can be used to help you get higher in the dumpster to throw something out.
Also the latter can be used to slide things up and out the dumpster.

Lost a truck cat, found a stuffed cat. There have been reports of catalytic converter thefts in the area I am in, and I have a pickup that is easy to get under so I do worry.

The ac stuff does have some resale value but other than the fan and a cover for it I would scrap. Stay Strong, Stay Safe, and always Stay Positive! Also I would love if your merch would have 3X in shirts or hoodies. I would buy one if they did but they don’t as of right now.

You can buy a piece of pipe that goes where the cat does for under $100 and it gives you more power. It's called decatting your vehicle.

Had same problem with cat converters in San Antonio put a product called cat clamps on my tundra. They are braided steel cables that make a cage around the cat converters.
The one thing that would definitely bring some money you didn’t offer to sell Mike. When I get in those big street lights like that one I put 100 price tag on it and take the first decent offer usually around 60 dollars. I have a small thrift store and love to see them they sell every time quick. I get about 40 for those air conditioners all though you and I might think they are nasty people with no air conditioning in the summer that are poor need them a lot of the time I give them to the local church and they find people who need them. What's even worse is, knowing full well there is a string of catalytic converter thefts in your area, some scrap yard is buying them all up, and not notifying police. You got a dirty yard, or dirty yard employee, in your area.
