That's really outstanding. Here we have Great spotted woodpeckers at our birdfeeders but they are very shy and immediately take off when they see us, even through the window. Thinking of feeding them from the hand? Outright impossible!

How long on average do you have to stand and practice this for them to trust you? I try in my yard often but the birds dont seem sold lol
how are the wild birds so tamed ?
This park has had people hand-feeding birds that land their hands for years so some are quite friendly. :)
