It's amazing to see women taking part of that building process instead of only 'driving' or 'accompanying' part of overland stories. It indeed looks like a proper overland tour truck now with all the mods. Congrats!

I just put an Ironman 4x4 front bumper on my 99 Lexus LX470 and I love it! I upgraded to the LED fog lights and they are well worth the extra 100. For that matter, I also have their Foam Cell Pro suspension and it's totally transformed the LX. I give good props to Ironman 4x4! It kinda seems like they get overlooked because of OME, Fox, Icon, King, etc.
The sliders with step are a great addition. My rocker panel protection has the same thing and even more than protecting from underneath - it keeps the body protected from the rocks coming in from the sides.
Ironman Bull Bar looks great. First time I’ve seen those bronze Fuel wheels on a 150 variant and they look as better than I could have imagined .
This is an inspiration for my 18 GX. You guys have everything I want on my GX. We might have a twinsies in the future

Ironman 4x4 bar looks great, Australian style, very strong, great approach angles, I've got one on my Ute ( Aussie for truck ) 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I used my Smittybuilt winch a couple weeks ago with the help of Jason Shry, pulling huge logs out of our creek. Worked flawlessly and we pulled some huge logs up a bank and out of the water. Great video as always.

I knew my wife was a keeper when we were dating and she replaced an alternator for me on my van. So much more rewarding when the ladies take part in a build. Especially if it's their rig.

I am having a 2022 GX460 coming. Wish one day I will get a system like yours and towing a turtleback overland.
I just got a 4runner and really excited to see what these guys do with their rigs
Have same bumper on my '16gx. One thing I want to share is watch power steering line clearance on bumper. Mine was occasionally touching and wore a hole in a year.
We spent a lot of effort reworking those lines for that very reason. Super tight in there for sure!
Finally! The first video of saw of your was the first GX video. Would love to see another video just detailing cutting the bumper and other adjustments in getting it installed. I eventually want a 470 once my Audi project is completed.

Glad to see Victory 4X4 changed the design of the slider lights. The first ones were not good. But the sliders are great.
They forgot to send the lights so those are trailer lights from Turtleback 👍
Awesome install. We just got our first 4Runner a 2016 in part from watching you guys! Ours is only 2WD though but we'll be able to tow our Spyder and explore, which is our goal!

Such a great video with so many important takeaways for young players. It's great to see your wife getting involved and learning also because as you said, knowing your vehicle. Learn about your vehicle even if you are not installing it, learn about your vehicle and be ready for fixes on the trail. You couldnt of said it any more accurate.

I’ve been watching your videos for the past couple hours and I’m taking notes...I really am lol. But I gotta admit the only thing I’m not happy about is that front bumper it doesn’t compliment the front curves at all. Have you looked at the “expedition one”? Or possibly ditching that top bar all together. Best of luck guys! Keep up the great videos!

That zinc powdercoat is a good idea...the only other thing i could think of that might be more durable would be to get them dipped (hot galvanized)...plus looking into some carbide burr bits to take care of when slots don't line up.

We had a great shot of Caroline pulling the piles on a pallet jack but the editor (no us) didn't put it in. Maybe I'll do some outtakes later.

Jeez that looks good. I asked my wife to buy the Lexus and she got an Acura MDX instead. After I showed her this video she understood why. Nice build.
The mdx is nice look into honda garage they make the lift kits
The GX's look good but aren't very functional for an overlander...and super expensive to outfit. I've got an 80 and a 100, and my wife has a GX. I thought 80s kit was overpriced until we started looking at GX kit. The MDX I looked at in SC not too long ago was a beast but mostly custom

Went to TAV and had my auxilliary fuel tank installed on my 4th gen 4runner last week.Going to t estt to see if Ican go 1k before refueling. Lifeis an adventure live itto the fullest.

I loved seeing you cut the bumper off that Lex. I hated that spindle grill, I would have blacked out the whole grill Lexus badge and all. Not sure I could bring myself to buy anything newer than the 2013. Ironman made significant improvements! Nice Video.

Looking good. Noticed you have wired the parkers in the bull bar up to the blinkers though.. Whites next to ambers in bull bar shouldn’t flash.. (going by Aussie regs anyway) easy fix thankfully!
Not a requirement here. Was disappointed they weren't totally amber honestly. We hooked it together for maximum visibility.

You guys a while back inspired me and I am currently building out my GX👊🏼!! That is the exact bumper I ordered 👍🏼. I went with Prinsu rack instead but very similar.

Did you determine if a body mount chop is necessary to avoid tire rub in the front, did you have to do any other mods in the back to accommodate the back tires, and what are your thoughts on the necessity of a gearing change? What's the overall ground clearance now beneath the lowest point in your under armor?

Quick question, for the winch, did you have to relocate or move radiator hoses? I just installed same bumper, but are waiting on winch and noticed several aluminum lines there. I would appreciate advice and help. You were not kidding about bumper taking time to install 😳

Nearly took out a 500 lb heifer 1 week after installing this. Not sure how it would have held up... But it's nice having that extra height for deer, etc.
