I think this is pretty impressive, would have loved to have been able to see the pyrometer read out of that Ford (considering the heat discoloration on the stainless stack from start to finish).
Today's Dift ploughing race was brought to You with the generous help of Titanium Tractor Parts, Dual Power Hearing Aids and Carbon Neutral Sweden! Ha ha, total madness!:)
Dad always told me to plow at 3mph,said it worked soil better. When ever he wasn't... around I was plowing as fast as tractor would pull plows. My logic was the sooner you get seed in ground the more bushels per acre,as long as equipment is not getting beaten up all is good.
On the signs in the vegetable shops: "New exclusive kind of vegetables, potatoes and flour from Sweden with a slightly taste of diesel, just as pure and clean as it can be from traditional Swedish agriculture! 24euro/kg!
that's been know to happen. a friend of mine used to race combines in the field with his neighbor. he would bump his ground speed up a bit, then the neighbor would, and back and forth til somebody plugged up their combine.
Wow O wow! Match a small ploug to a high powered tractor & a driver with attitude & you've got speed ploughin'... One dangerous sport (but a lot of skilled required) "Don't try this at home folks..."
Thats right. nobody uses plows anymore. chisels and cultivators and diskes is all they pretty much use. Have you seen the Case IH Turbo Till cultivators before. that shit is awesome. makes the dirt real easy to plant in.
Brilliant, If my mate Fred let me do this with his brand new Massy Fergy spaceships, it wouldn't last half the time as that old Ford did, but it would be mass fun trying to find out,
i love tractors myself and have a little compact so no offense pls :) but wanted to ask something about this sport....is it about 'painting the sky black' or 'fastest plowed patch?' :D
HAhahaha det der var helt utrolig rått!!! Sinnsvakt!!!! Noen som vil komme og ta jordet mitt på denne måten? :D :D Men hvordan overlever motorene på traktorene med så mye krefter over så lang tid?
yes. most of what is visible as "smoke" coming from the exhaust is, in fact, soot. this almost pure carbon will settle harmlessly back to earth. diesel engines work on slightly different principals than gasoline burning engines, and are much more efficient, as well as cleaner. it is the emissions you cannot see that have a lighter molecular weight that rise into the upper atmosphere and cause damage, such as those exhausted from gasoline burning engines.
That's true, but the worst thing with wind power in the Nordic is even worse. The blades are kept warm using electricity from an outside source, including when the plant is offline, typically at the times the power would really be needed elsewhere. Wait, that wasn't the worst part yet. The electric heating is obviously not enough in all conditions. You know how they thaw those when they're covered in ice and need to be cleaned before reactivation? The thawing apparatus arrives in the afternoon on a heavy truck, and a several hundred kilowatt oil burner starts. The following morning the tank of water has warmed enough so they can warm the turbine blades by spraying.
Oh, there's one more detail I forgot. How can they reach the blades? No problem, they actually use helicopters to spray. No, I kid you not. Yes, that's how taxpayers' money is spent in Sweden. (Wind power is obviously not profitable. Anywhere.)
It also doesn't constant power supply, you see when the wind stops there the windmill stops, power use is quite constant, but how do they solve that, a coal plant needs a start up of about half a day, it's not a diesel generator where you just hit the throttle, so a lot of electricity is just wasted cause due overcapacity to prevent a lack of power.
Black smoke from a diesel running fast under load is diesel fuel that did not combust because the injectors are pumping more then the engine needs. Look up over-fueling diesel.
I wonder how the plows ground contacting wear parts last when pulled at 20 mph? I better not let my son see this video because im afraid I'll actually find the answer to my question.
nowa days most of what they do is no till min till and strip till or for some farms that do any heavy tillage its with a ripper or chisel plow sure there are a few guys that plow but most plows you do see are old antique ones that are all shinied up for sale or actual work horses that are all rusty sitting out of the way in the weeds
I like the fact that it shows the might of tractors and the power of FORD!!!!!!!!!!
International1066 definitely not but Ford tractors were good. Maybe not International or Allis good but still good.
Ford was case ih for those who don't know ford just has their name on it use to work at a case dealer sold case parts for ford tractors on the daily
@@badazz2969 i was probably 13 and very immature, i am still a ford fan, just I've done research now
@@badazz2969case ih = Ford 😂😅
This probably has to be the best video on youtube.Great job

Wow, I've never seen something like that before! Cheers to lovely Sweden
Farming, Top Gear style. :D
... this was strangely satisfying to watch.
*LOVE The Turns LOL! !!*
The Tractors Love to be run like that!!
'Cause sometimes you just don't have all day to tootle around getting that field plowed.
Haha this is the best thing ever! i can see the o zone layer literally thinning and i dont care!
Dad always told me to plow at 3mph,said it worked soil better. When ever he wasn't... around I was plowing as fast as tractor would pull plows. My logic was the sooner you get seed in ground the more bushels per acre,as long as equipment is not getting beaten up all is good.
FORD IS GOLD 👍👌💪
SIMPLY THE BEST 👍👌❤
hahahaha, Totaly awesome :D the windturbines in the distance make this even more epic.
wow, never seen anything like this. hard on equiptment, hope the prize is worth it
They sure sound nice! Now if we could just figure out how to make corn grow that fast.
Those old fords do have the power, but man are they light in the front. I like these guys, love to hire them one day
Respekt! Försökte själv häromdagen - kom upp i 9 km/h, saknade njurbälte.
My dad has a 7700 Ford.. Those Ford row croppers from the 70's and 80's let out excessive smoke when they're stressed
Because plowing in road gear is always a great idea...
That isn't road gear.... that is RACE gear!!! lol
I always thought the transmission was labeled R for racing though...
Blake Biermann lol, that is only for backwards racing :-)
It's a race
That's just the coolest thing I've ever seen! We need to get that in America!!!!
Jake Ziegler yah all we have is tractor pulls
America needs this to make it great
Love those quiet and clean wind generators in the background. Ironic contrast.
Clean green windmills stained by black diesel smoke...lol
Looks like fun...we should have here in America...green peace would love it.
That engine is roasted at the end :D
Beats the hell out of the team of mules we use when I was growing up in the 50's.
Don't you mean like 20's?
hey just to let you know, if you need any fields to do a speed plow ternoment, your welcome to all of my fields.
Who said you need a low gear.
I'm on RUclips all the time and that is a grate video I love it I wish I was there to see that
I cant see clouds but these tractors make their own "diesel clouds" :)
If I ever have to do farming, this is how I will do the plowing!
Speed and power! The answer to everything :D

+megadriver6 Like answer to the question: How to ruin your land in a year.
+Liadrin Lady they aren't good agronomists
RedErik94 Of course they are not. I was taught to preserve soil, because it's the most important thing.
you're clever
Looks expensive but looks like a good time those are nice old ford's we have 8600 open tractor
this is awesome!!!!
Nothing grew in field because the sun never came back out from all the smoke. Probably be even cooler to see in person

Turning the ground and air into a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
I would rather be there then somewhere filled with smog and pavement.
So awesome! Pretty sure i seen little molten pieces of piston coming out of the exhaust on that ford haha
Love how you can see the windmills in the background XD
what if...there was a BIG rock?
Then there would be a few BIG fcuk soon
Hold da helt kæft, hvor morsomt. FANTASTIK!! :-))))
Great!!
I cant tell, is that middle tractor a White?? and i like the John Deere in the background and the Ford is badass too.
Thats pretty cool. Look at all the blow-by that first Ford has.
Nice with the wind turbins in the background, need to clear out the smog
Wow, this is the most interesting motorsport I have ever seen.
WOW! I bet it smelled good there!
Is it generally a bad day, or is the just from the plumes of smoke coming from the chimneys!
Thats right. nobody uses plows anymore. chisels and cultivators and diskes is all they pretty much use. Have you seen the Case IH Turbo Till cultivators before. that shit is awesome. makes the dirt real easy to plant in.
are they graded also on how well they plow
I was thinking the same thing great video!
Brilliant, If my mate Fred let me do this with his brand new Massy Fergy spaceships, it wouldn't last half the time as that old Ford did, but it would be mass fun trying to find out,
THE best waste of 10 gallons of diesel I've ever seen!!
Wonder what they're planting?
pov: you are late for sowing season
Anyone think that they might be able to turn some straighter furrows if they used AG GPS with AutoSteer?
i love tractors myself and have a little compact so no offense pls :) but wanted to ask something about this sport....is it about 'painting the sky black' or 'fastest plowed patch?' :D
You wouldn't have to speed plow if you bought a bigger plow... Just kidding this is awesome!
Can I have the serial numbers of the tractors being used - so I know to avoid them on Tractor House when they come up for sale?
HAhahaha det der var helt utrolig rått!!! Sinnsvakt!!!!
Noen som vil komme og ta jordet mitt på denne måten? :D :D
Men hvordan overlever motorene på traktorene med så mye krefter over så lang tid?
I think those turbos don't compress enough air under load and not burning all injected fuel...
i can do that..hold my beer.
My beer can do that... hold me
Janus Møller i cant do that, beer me
Genius thread :D
this ford is a real beast! :D
We got a tractor plowing a field at 20mph swinging the implement around the turns, and the description is about a city???
Take note of how the nearest ford shoots flames when he blips the throttle on the way back, just looks closely and you'll see it
wonder how the seed bed is
Must've seen a rain cloud comin'......
Do they charge by the hour? Or the gallon?
Kick ass ploughing.
Good to see those wind turbines have canceled out the pollution in that area haha I had a Deutz that did that
One word: ROCK.
This is the best thing I've seen all year! Love it! Next best thing to tractor pulling! Fuck the tree huggers! Flat out diesel powerrrrrrrrrrr!
I think they can do this 2 or 3 thimes then the engine blows up! But great video!
Awesome video! Eat this,Toyota Prius!
48 Years on a Farm and never saw something like this.
Agree with this person that said not a single fuck was given that day.
Regards South Africa

That turbo whistle is sexy!
was that a 4455 john deer in the back round hauling ass and plowing the ring way and not trying to break the plow
This is where all the extra c02 is coming from?
Is Bo Duke a farmer now?
I'm amazed that they held up through that.
why are they driving so fast and are they plowing about 2 inches deep?
super video
are these tractors farm stock?
That's how you do a days work in two minutes! Challenge your friend to a race!!! LOLZ
I bet the tree huggers are very proud over them.
I can almost hear those windmills weep.

HP?
Holy shit, it looks like Fallujah being invaded with all that black smoke in the air!
And I'm wondering, how good did he do his job? Was his plowing any god?!
These guys get the job done!
this is the sickest thing iv seen done with a tractor
Got any references for those 60%?!??
I'd like to see you in same room with gasoline exhaust and then diesel exhaust...
Your answer has now sense at all... :) There's something called sugestions at the leftside on youtube. Thus rather by accident...
uploaded in 2010, turbo still hasn't stopped spinning...
I wonder how the plows ground contacting wear parts last when pulled at 20 mph? I better not let my son see this video because im afraid I'll actually find the answer to my question.
kunde man verkligen se laholm efter det här?
There goes the o zone! Lol
look at those tractors bounce....... omg i cant watch anymore....... who would do this to an innocent machine
I know u shouldnt treat machines like this but it shows what hammer they are capable of taking and serviving long live the proper ford tractors :)
macfletcherhotmail that has got to bee hard as you know what on the mechine

would love to go see this
Plowing like a boss
