Hi Dana. I hope all is well with you. What a fun and quick project to make. I sometimes forget that it’s okay to keep things simple and straightforward. I love this. And I do like your idea of sewing down the bottom. Thanks again for this great gift idea. I am going to go pick up some yarn and make a couple of these as give-aways at the office holiday party. Take care. ❤💕❤
Hi Dana, this is Beautiful. I will definitely give this a try. I have never done the houndstooth pattern. I hope you are doing well. I know you live up the the mountains of NC so I am happy to see your area was spared some from the wrath of Helene.🙏
@@justdi3347 thank you for your kind comment 🙏🏻 Unfortunately, my area was definitely not spared from Helene. We are still undergoing massive cleanup and rebuilding. Our kids aren't back in school until next week. My family and I have been personally fortunate in that we got very little in damages, but many in my community lost everything. 💔
@@MichelleMorin-y7h technically you could just use one strand and make a ch in multiples of 2 + 1 until it measures the right length, then make rows till it measures the right width (listed in the finished measurements of the description box). But if you're wanting the same stitch and row counts, super bulky weight yarn is the equivalent to 3 strands of 4 weight held together. I will mention this creates a very stiff fabric and isn't my favorite.
It's beautiful! Another project added to my neverending list 😅

I notice it looks like your 1st row is worked in the back bar of the starting chains. Is that correct?
@@marywise5943 yes, sorry! I meant to actually verbalize that 🙈
@@DaysCrochet Thanks for the clarification.
Can we use 2 strands of 4 weight?
