Amazing video man. What an ultra cool thing to do to mark a significant milestone. Alright, I'll be the one to ask what everyone is thinking. How much did it cost to book two days at Pachyderm? Cheers man.
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it! To answer your question- not as much as you’d think! The standard studio fee is $1100 per day. That sounds like a lot on the surface, but considering that $1100 gets you a full 10-hour work day of studio time with an engineer as well as lodging for up to 12 people in a huge house, it’s actually pretty reasonable. Split amongst the 6 couples that came along, the cost for the trip for each was basically the same as getting a hotel for a weekend. I can’t wait to go back.
@@JEEJ_MUSIC Wow, that's nowhere near as much as I expected. You're absolutely right that split between a few people it becomes a very reasonable price. Jeez, what a great idea man. I really loved the way you introduced all the members of the band and told us about them and why they were chosen. I can see that you all really care about each other and that's such a blessing. On top of them being awesome friends they're all ridiculously good musicians (same goes for you) and the fact that you get to play together is a dream come true for an awful lot of people that just play on their own, or to their cats, dogs and goldfish. It must have taken you ages to to put the video together. It's really well edited and very entertaining and of course, it has a killer soundtrack. You guys should be really proud of going and doing what many people only ever dream of. Cheers friend.
@@JEEJ_MUSIC Well I feel lucky that you shared all this with us. Making and sharing music is such a gift. Those ripples in the pond spread out in wonderful and unpredictable ways. Cheers friend.
@@JEEJ_MUSIC off topic, but I noticed you have a Trini Lopez on the wall behind you. I thought Dave Grohl never took his on the road but I just came across an old concert video and it looks like Taylor hawkins is playing Dave's Trini on stage! looks like they even taped over the Gibson logo on the headstock. ruclips.net/video/5l_i8VNqIto/видео.html
what an awesome vid man - criminally underrated channel that deserves hundreds of thousands more subs! As a fellow guitarist and tone chaser (Adam Jones obsessed) I love this stuff! Super happy for you to be able to record in such an iconic location.
Great video, I love the documentary vibe. Can't imagine how one can put this amount of effort into a project. Organising, packing, recording, taping - not to mention writing and rehersals. Crazy. Glad you were able to pull it off. All the best to you and your family!
Thanks so much! It really is a gift to have some talented friends who are willing to follow you on a crazy journey like this. I’m super thankful I got to share the experience with them.
And The band Failure if i remember correctly... very cool.Edit:Wow at the editing skills and just putting this video together man.Im so glad RUclips algorithm gods showed me your awesome channel...The "if this is heaven" song is a banger.Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience. GodBless.
I live in Wisconsin and didn’t realize Nirvana recorded there until a few years ago.. Liked the “Pressure” song.. I’ve met both Butch Vig and Steve Albini and feel blessed to have had conversations with both.
Yeah, JEEJ. Rehearse the heck out of those songs. Ah, you know what you're doing. Very cool. Thanks for sharing behind the scenes. Interesting to see that studio. When I saw Pachyderm Studios, I thought Pachyderm, Pachyderm, that sounds familiar.
Hey, glad to see you on this long form rather then TikTok short form. Gonna be watching this. From a fellow 30 year old that likes this sort of music and guitars 😊
Likely won’t be doing physical release of this one, but it will be available on all streaming platforms and I will post a bandcamp link to download from directly as well!
I get this comment from time to time. If you like my original music, I’ve got 4 full albums and a couple EP’s for sale on my bandcamp page. Put your money where your mouth is and buy some of my music rather than leave these backhanded comments. Jeej.bandcamp.com

I love BTS of studio recordings! What a cool way to celebrate turning 30! Great video! 🤘
Finally got my own iPhone and found the Woodshed EP on iTunes.
That was easy. Sorry you are only the 4th album on my phone. Nice material.
This studio is absolutely gorgeous.
Such a great watch! I really hope that one day i'll have a bunch of musically gifted friends to share a similar experience with!
