You probably could have bought a white chibson dg335 and used the parts from the black one.
So I found one of the DG-335 kits and it showed up a couple days ago, before I trek over to Dave's Guitar in La Crosse can you tell me if it fits in a standard ES-335 case? This is my only hollow-body so spending money on a hardshell that doesn't fit would just be throwing money away....
The guitar looks absolutely lovely! Ive been thinking about ordering a guitar from china as i am a lefty and there are just some guitar styles i cant get in my price range which i can get from china and use as a mod platform. However i am slightly worried about getting it through customs, if i tell the seller to remove the logo would you know if it will it be fine to go through customs at all? I dont care for the logo i just want a guitar that looks nice.

Minor paint repairs can often be done with nail polish/varnish. Most colours are covered and often you can blend shades.

i don't know why people are still surprised by quality "chibsons" these are probably all made by the same people that are making most of the import brand name guitars...they have access to all the parts and schematics...they just un-brand them and sell them for cheap...

I live about 3 miles from the FedEx office, which is across from the post office. They take everything across the street and dump it on the post office that oughta be illegal.
Couple things I bought off of eBay. I did some research and it came from AliExpress.
Is this a double signature guitar then? A Trini Grohl model? Dave Lopez? This is kind of ridiculous. There are Les Pauls, already a signiture model really, that are now Slash signiture, and other artists signiture guitars. How many names can you put on one guitar and still make sense? As long as it justifies a higher price I guess. I look forward to avoiding this one too.

How you are with them, I feel about Pearl Jam. Fortunately I got one of the Mike McCready Signature Strats and absolutely love it. The Dave Grohl Epiphone is not one of Epiphones best guitars. Disappointed because they do make some great stuff these last few years. Anyway, thank again for sharing your story about this guitar. You will get THE ONE, one day.

Dude I’m so 🤏🏼 close to order myself a nice ESP MX Knockoff, they are also around 200 bucks… buying an original nowadays is really NO fun at all because of all those Metallica crackheads destroying the whole market prices 🤦🏽♂️ (Up to 15k for a MX-250, WTH???) WHY???? this is so wrong. it aggravate me that your supporting China infiltration of a American legend. Gibson are not cheap but there is a reason for that. now we have one more fake on the streets. This is sad.
My neighbor bought a fake Les Paul, he told me chibson's are made in the Epiphone factory and insisted his fake sounds as good as the real thing. Like most chibson enthusiasts, he didn't want to hear that a lot of them are actually made in labor camps and none come from the Epiphone factory. He also insists modelers sound like tube amps, so maybe he just can't hear the difference. Personally, I avoid buying anything made in china as much as possible, counterfeit or not. chinese counterfeit products are all over ebay, reverb, amazon,,,etc chinese knock-off guitars are easy to spot, even on ebay. If it's labeled made in USA and ships from china... it's fake.
@@michaelhunt6458 Year but what if they start making Ford 150's tomorrow, or Stingray, Milwaukie tools "pretty sure they do" but its wrong. Go take a Gibson factory tour, and when your done look those people the eye and tell them you bough a Chibson instead of saving to but one of their guitars. To me its just promoting copy right infringement.
@@BuhdaPunk Don't get me wrong, I didn't/wouldn't buy a chibson, my neighbor bought one on ebay and claims that it's just as good as the real thing, but refused to let me check it out (this is a guy who says the only way to get EVH's brown sound is with a modeler). I agree with you 100% and despise the fact that sites like ebay, reverb, amazon, etc. are allowed to violate U.S. copyright laws. I have a real 2003 LP Black Beauty from the Custom shop that I bought new. I reported a page selling counterfeit Gibsons and ebay did nothing, when I bitched about their lack of interest... they suspended my account. It's not just guitars, there are plenty of fake vintage amps and cabinets, drums, tubes etc. Fake household products are all over amazon as well. ebay isn't held responsible and is allowed to make money off illegal sales of counterfeit products in the USA. It is very sad.

The multiple tape applications indicated it may have actually been QC'd when it hit the states. I think if I bought a Chibson, id want it to say Gibson on the headstock, just in case it was wall art. At least I could pretend I could afford one.
