Ahhhh I LOVE the idea of sitting on God’s front porch of the temple I live in Manhattan and our temple is about to close for renovation and it’s gonna take three years to do it, and it kind of sucks because the temple is super close to me and not being able to go inside It breaks my heart. But being able to just go on the front porch part and just sit and have a conversation melts my heart because of the times that I won’t be able to go in but I need clarity and peace I’m definitely going to do that.❤ thank you for this much needed lesson 😊
God Bless you, girlfriend. You're sweet loving spirit came right through in this comment and you taught me of how very blessed I am to be near to other temples when one is being worked on. Thank you!!!!
Hey!!! I definitely believe you can have powerful experiences on temple grounds! I’m hitting my 8th year of being married and a goal of ours has been to go to the temple at least once a month. We have kept up that goal, even through covid!… we would go to the grounds and sing songs with the kids, say prayers, read scriptures, and sometimes eat a sack lunch in the parking lot. The whole plot of land a temple is on has been dedicated, so definitely go and expect powerful experiences!!!
I Love these lessons, I am 77 been a member all my life but I want to grow up and be like Grace in the Gospel. Thanks so much and give Emily my love, everytime I see or hear her I think oh I know her ( just from studing with you David and Emily and now this sweet spiritual daughter of God. Love ya
Such a great lesson -- I really loved the discussion on 2 Nephi 12 verse 3 and what we learn from "The House of the God of Jacob". Amazing insights -- thank you!
Oh my how I love this !!! Love David and Grace! They are both high energy bodily and their spirit, highlighting the scriptures helps me! Thank you both, hugs for Emily❤
I love how you both make these scriptures so relatable! You do that every week, but breaking down the Isaiah chapters this way resonates with me. Love it! Thank you!❤
54:10 I love Isaiah's call ... to be made clean... the coal... Holy Ghost.... repentance... purified like pure gold or Iron... or glass clear to see the word of God sparkle through Isaiah... I think the angels wings represent power and authority... the ones that go before the face... like my mum or my missionaries... the feet...His own that walked up to every promise he made to Heavenly Father, Isaiah dud the will of God... those two wings that would fly him into the presence of God... what magnificent images to understand the calling.
I read a comment from Elder LeGrand Richards about verse 26-29 with a much different meaning, which tells of Isaiah's interpretation of the gathering happening in our day using modern transportation. The roar of the lions meaning airplane.
I defently love Chapter 12 in 2 Nephi I live in Price City and my ward and stake is part of the Manti Temple district everyone in my ward and stake are excited for the temple to be done and being involved in the open house and the rededication to go back to it again to feel God and Christ there.
ZION'S EXCESS Beat my people down, you'll be buried in the ground Your stretched forth neck, heading for a trainwreck Those wanton eyes are unsatisfied Tinkling feet walking down the street You'll be smitten with a scab, your ornaments all drab Idolatry will shatter cause it doesn't really matter Sweet to stink, pushed over the brink Beauty to burning, stomach keeps churning All of this will fade into spirits into shades Excess all around and you beat my people down.
Help please! I do not want my "membership" auto renewed. I need to cancel. I have no idea where to do that. Thanks for your help. Keep up the wonderful work!
2Nephi 10:3 I alway as thought the chosen means more righteous . But I have a new thought. The Chosen ones means needed Christ more because the Jews were so wicked that they crucified God’s Son or the God of this world. So they were chosen to help him achieve His goal of saving all of us.
Any ideas why the 18th century language used in the Bible made it all the way through the filters of Brass Plates --> through Reformed Egyptian --> to Moroni's decision to include these chapters (no doubt because Jacob and Nephi wanted them included...) I have a theory that's not intended to be disrespectful - but sometimes wonder if once Joseph Smith realized these were right out of Isaiah, he said, "Hey, Oliver, we get kind of a break here; I can chill a little on interpreting because we have this already - just go grab those Old Testament chapters and we can go fishing." My theory doesn't help the 'Ships of Tarshish' thing, but since I'm pretty sure Sarah never had a Wimple, Cowl. or Crisping Pin; something like this must have happened. Thoughts?
Regarding the commentary about 2 Nephi 12. Isaiah 2:1-2 says, "The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. ". When the Nephites and Lamanites were reading Isaiah 2 (recorded in 2 Nephi 12), did they understand that Isaiah's vision was about Judah and Jerusalem and not about their land?
both the flip chart and the journal (they both have spirals haha) are available at deseret book. www.deseretbook.com/search/?q=don%27t%20miss%20this%20book%20of%20mormon
I am new to these videos, so maybe you clarify this in an earlier segment, but it seems like you use "God" and "Jesus Christ" interchangeably. This isn't meant as a correction or criticism at all, but I think that gets confusing, especially for our children and youth. In chapter 15 for example, you say that Christ is the Lord of the vineyard, but then you suggest we look for all the things God has done in the vineyard. And of course they are one in purpose, but since we so adamantly believe they are two separate beings, it just throws me off. But I could be totally missing the mark.
I joined the LDS church at age 21. The interchangeable use of "God" and "Jesus Christ" was confusing to me, and 50+ years later, it still can catch me off guard. I have learned that God himself is the planner for this world. His son Jesus Christ is the one who implements the plan and is the promised Messiah and Redeemer. As Messiah and Redeemer Jesus Christ is also the God of this world.
howdy. yeah maybe it can be confusing. it i think the Godhead and their distinctions really is a beautiful mystery. so it might always feel a little confusing if we try to distinguish too hard between them. because while we do believe adamantly in their distinctness, we believe just as adamantly in their Oneness. that when you see the heart and character of One, you have seen the heart and character of the Others.

I want to grow up to be grace too.
I appreciate your knowledge and your testimonies. I love the insight that He is a God of refuge in the storm, not necessarily from the storm.
All temples need porches with rocking chairs and swings ❤️!!!
Agree! ❤
Wonderful lesson. I’m learning to love the Book of Mormon from the insights you give us. Thank you.
I love that "atonement" means to cover...we can be clothed in the atonement. 14:4
Such a great lesson -- I really loved the discussion on 2 Nephi 12 verse 3 and what we learn from "The House of the God of Jacob". Amazing insights -- thank you!
I also loved “Isaiah for Airheads”. It Brough Isaiah alive for me.
This is how I see Jesus reminds me of the song...Let Me Tell Ya Bout My Jesus
Great song
I listen to a lot of podcasts … I understand and delight in your words! I tear up constantly with you examples and love of the Lord.

Thank you for being here every week to share your insights and knowledge of the weekly scripture study! I love it so much.
Grace, I’m also the youngest in my family and also the only convert to the Church in my family. ❤️
OK Grace. You are now quoted in my Book of Mormon 2 Nephi 12:3. ❤
I was thinking the temple needed rocking chairs when you guys were talking about the Lord's front porch too. Haha. Must be my southern roots.
I agree! Except I'm in Idaho😅, but rocking chairs are so soothing!
I appreciate your enthusiasm, insights, and willingness to put so much effort into sharing Christ all around! Many thanks.
Thank you very much for another wonderful lesson. So thankful you are there for us each week. Blessings unto you both. 😘
Thank you very much much. From darkness to the light of the Prince of Peace😍👏
Please can we have a PDF of the Easter Hosanna tear sheets. Postage is too much to the UK 🙏🏼
Thank you both David and Grace this was great!!

The way you both teach is amazing
David we are living in a world like that RIGHT NOW!
With your Help is on the way segment. I had this song playing in my head: Help is on The Way (Maybe Midnight) by TobyMac!
Loved the Wanton Soup 🍲 analogy! 😊

Grace: “and I can still ride a bike today!”
I would hope so 😂
Thank you 😊
Thank you it was a great lesson.
ZION'S EXCESS
Beat my people down, you'll be buried in the ground
Your stretched forth neck, heading for a trainwreck
Those wanton eyes are unsatisfied
Tinkling feet walking down the street
You'll be smitten with a scab, your ornaments all drab
Idolatry will shatter cause it doesn't really matter
Sweet to stink, pushed over the brink
Beauty to burning, stomach keeps churning
All of this will fade into spirits into shades
Excess all around and you beat my people down.
Grace green is your color!!
I noticed that too!
Where do you get your Polo shirts?
Also I love the message shared by both of you

Help I can’t find a book that David mentioned the Book of Mormon reference manual? Who is it by?
He said The Book of Mormon Reference Companion
Regarding the commentary about 2 Nephi 12.
Isaiah 2:1-2 says, "The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning
Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the
mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the
mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall

When the Nephites and Lamanites were reading Isaiah 2 (recorded in 2 Nephi 12),
did they understand that Isaiah's vision was about Judah and Jerusalem and
not about their land?

In other words… don’t watch the news! I don’t want to be driven there and pulled down.
Oh. A Mormon sounding board. Did I just hear something from Satan?
Lovvvve your lessons♥️ temple ordinance workers in our area are instructed to say “Welcome to the House of the Lord”… 🤍
Yes! I hope David reads your comment. We are already welcoming our patrons to the "HOUSE OF THE LORD" 🤍
