Thank you for this wonderful podcast! I went the distance as I’m preparing to teach Gospel doctrine this next Sunday. I am humbled and Marvel at all of your great understanding and grateful you would share it with us. I was especially touched by the understanding about Isaiah and his wife, bearing a child, and that she was a sign of faith willing to have children in the midst of distress. And then, of course Christ came to be God with us, and then I especially loved the understanding that every time a child is born it is a witness of hope that God is with us he still sends his children to the Earth. I live in Saratoga Springs, UT and I went the distance! I love these podcasts so much. My understanding, testimony, and appreciation of the BoM have grown so much and I still feel like I’m barely scraping the surface of it all. And as a results it’s also strengthened my testimony of Joseph Smith. The Spirit testifies to me every week when I’m listening to this podcast that this is all true. I wish the days were longer so I can spend more time doing scripture study and feasting on the words they contain.
I was listening to this during my shift at work last night and this was perfect! It was (almost) long enough to cover my entire shift and I learned TONS!! Yea, I made it all the way and am looking forward to the next chapters. I am Mary from a very small town in Eastern Utah that few have heard of. As a young adult, I was in Seattle, Washington, talking with a group of BYU students who thought that because they were going to school at BYU, they would know where I lived. When I said Myton Utah, they had no idea where it was, but an older gentleman came over and said, "Only you will appreciate this. I am from Ioka." Which is a place smaller than Myton. Now Myton and Ioka share the same church building. Although I often say I am a nobody from nowhere, as I study the scriptures and apply them to myself and my family, I realize how much the Lord loves each and every one of us. Thank you for all you do to help us enlighten our minds and increase our understanding.
