An error on your part. Baldur didnt know of Kratos true nature being a god. When he said that "You all were supposed to be enlightened so much better then us" he wasnt talking about Kratos but BOIs mother. He even says "I thought you'd be bigger..." The reason why he says this is SPOILERS!!!!!! Kratos wife was a giant. They were referring to the Giants being more enlightened and better, and not the gods of Greece
"Enlightened" talks about how he's a spartan, so they look down on others. Which is why he calls Mimir "Head" and Atreus "Boy" by thought he'd be bigger, he's most likely referencing how small he is compared to magni and modi, even though he destroyed an entire world of gods.

So yeah, pretty sure he knows who Kratos is and likely knows something Kratos doesn’t because Odin has access to many prophecies.

If I can recall, Baldur followed Kratos ‘cause he thought Kratos was Laufey. You can tell by the fact that Baldur never mentions Kratos by name throughout the game, and when Kratos and Boi arrived at Jötunheim, Kratos mentions that fact based on the mural. When Baldur says he “knew what [Kratos] was,” he could have referred to Laufey/Faye and the Giants. And, he followed them to Jötunheim in search of a way to break his curse, believing that ‘cause Kratos/Laufey was a “Giant,” Kratos/Laufey was destined to go to Jötunheim. Sure, Odin probably knew all of this, predicting that Laufey/Faye died, and Kratos was going to Jötunheim for alternative reasons, but if Baldur knew of Kratos’ background, he would have taunted him about how Kratos has killed gods before rather than think Kratos could actually cause Baldur to feel pain. In fact, I’m pretty sure that Baldur was initially suppose to work under Odin as a tracker to get the Aesir to Jötunheim, but due to his condition, he was obsessed with following Kratos in hopes of finding a cure rather than achieve Odin’s wishes.
This is entertaining but in many, many ways inaccurate. Hopefully you’ll play the game and get an awesome experience from it rather than believe the summary of this video.
