I use the term virtuoso seldomly but here we had a virtuoso of the Irish Uilleann pipes.

This surpasses music and is interwoven in the peoples of Ireland and anybody of Irish descent. Absolutely vital that it's played and remembered by all Celts.

I first heard The Brendan Voyage on NPR and immediately fell in love with it. Since then, I have been learning as much as possible about the story behind it. Fascinating! And Liam O’Flynn’s artistry is amazing. He was one of a kind.

The book about the recreated voyage, by Tim Severin, is an interesting read.
