For the garage to open by remote control, you need to buy a servo, a motor that reverses direction when you change polarity, to change polarity, you need a special remote and receiver to control that. Make sense?

My mother sewed so I would use her fabric to make curtains, blankets and carpet for the house. It was no where as fabulous as yours but I made it for my barbies and was proud. Beautiful work. TFS

If they are interested in learning how to build one, they can watch my tutorial videos. If it's too complex for them to make and more people are interested, I might design a kit where they can assemble the pieces together.
